It wasn't like any other day.

From the warm milk that caressed her naked body to the red rose petals that danced to the waves.

The soft silk robe that hugged her body to the slight raking of the comb through her brown hair.

The moisture of the cream melting down her skin to the different texture of brushes sweeping across her face.

The soft laughter of the servant girls rhymed with the deafening silence in her head.

From the pins in her hair to the cold diamonds around her throat, even down to the oddly comfortable heels that swallowed her feet.

The zipping of the dress and the pinning of the veil.

Black roses placed in her cold palms as she was led to the Cathedral with a long tail following behind.

All she heard was the wedding bells.

Wedding bells that signified unity.

Wedding bells that signified beginning.

Wedding bells that signified happy ending.

But her bells only rang with an warning.

A known warning.

She was dressed in all black.
