Chapter 1: The Unexpected Comes

“Olivia, open the door, are you okay? You’ve been there long enough don’t make me worry, at least tell me what happened?” Hunter said from outside the bathroom door.

I've been feeling very nauseous for a week, in the 5 years I've been married to Hunter, I've never felt like this, I'm thinking about what I've eaten lately, or maybe the bad weather is the reason I'm sick.

“I'm fine,” I said.

"Open the door, why do you have to lock the door if you're okay," Hunter said and I, who was still standing in front of the mirror, looked straight at myself, who looked pale.

It's embarrassing to show Hunter a face like this, but he kept knocking on the door asking me to open the door for him and yes in the end I did have to get out of there.

“Are you okay? Your face looks pale, I have to call a doctor now," Hunter said but I held back.

"No, I'm okay, it's getting late, I don't want to bother anyone this late, I just want hot tea, can you ask Mia to make it?" I said Mia is the maid in our house, she's an Omega, but Hunter asked her to use a blocker to prevent something bad from happening.

"Okay, lie down on the bed and I'll be right back with your hot tea," Hunter said, he kissed my forehead and left the room.

Me, who covered myself with a blanket, was quite confused about my condition that night, it was already 2 am, and Hunter should have been asleep because he had to get up early for work, but I made it difficult for him.

It's raining outside, lately, the weather has been unpredictable, maybe that's why I got sick, and another reason is that I no longer take my vitamins, maybe Hunter will be angry if he finds out about that.

I took my book on the nightstand and tried to calm my mind while waiting for Hunter to return, but I heard a notification sound from Hunter's phone which broke the silence in the room at that time.

“Beep..”

“Beep..Beep..”

I can hear a lot of notifications coming in on his phone, but as long as we're together, I never once want to know what he's doing with his phone because I respect his privacy and he's quite busy.

Being a CEO at his father's company is not an easy job, he has to wake up early and come home quite late to finish all his work at the office and I have to understand that condition.

Since his father was sick, Hunter has been busier than usual, maybe it's been almost a year since his father could only lie in bed.

“Beep.Beep..”

Again a notification came on his phone this was quite strange because considering it was very late and anyone contacting him this late didn't make sense, but I tried to think positively maybe there was something urgent that needed to be conveyed now.

Not long after, Hunter came in with hot tea in his hand, he immediately approached me and sat near me, handing me a cup to drink.

"Here, I also brought you some medicine, you have to go to the doctor tomorrow, or I can call the doctor so he can come here," Hunter said.

"Can't you accompany me to the hospital?" I said.

"Olivia, you know how busy I am, I can't promise I'll accompany you but maybe I can try to pick you up," Hunter said.

“Ah, okay then,” I said.

Yes, I should already know the answer, why should I ask again?

“And, who contacted you this late? I mean, your phone kept ringing so I thought it must be important,” I said.

"Did you see it?" Hunter said and immediately got up from where he was and went to the nightstand near his bed to check his phone.

“No, I didn't see it, I just thought maybe it was important because—”

"Wait, I have to call someone, finish your tea, and go to sleep," Hunter said and left the room immediately carrying his phone.

His behavior was quite strange tonight, but I couldn't think about anything and immediately finished my tea before going to bed and hoped that tomorrow when I woke up the nausea would disappear and I would feel better.

The next day…

"Congratulations Olivia, the results are positive and this means you are pregnant, your Alpha must be very happy to hear this news," the doctor said.

I didn't know how to describe my happiness when I heard the word "pregnant" come out of the doctor's mouth.

This is what we have been waiting for for 5 years and now I can make my Alpha happy, he can be a real Alpha and I am sure he will be an incredible father to our baby.

My eyes couldn't lie, when tears of happiness flowed down my cheeks at that time, I kept rubbing my stomach as if I didn't expect that my dream of becoming a Luna would now actually come true.

“You have to tell him now,” the Doctor said.

"Yes, he is on his way here to pick me up, this is the best news I have ever heard, I can't wait to see him find out about this pregnancy, he will be very happy," I said and immediately left the room.

I took my phone out of my bag and immediately called Hunter, a happy smile spread across my face as I walked down the hall. But many times I tried to contact Hunter, he didn't answer my phone.

The last time he sent me a message was when he said he would pick me up at the hospital, but since then he hasn't responded to my messages and he hasn't picked up my phone either.

"Where is he? Is he stuck in traffic?” I said.

I waited for almost an hour in the hospital lobby and kept calling him, but he didn't answer my calls, I was getting worried because he wasn't usually like this, he never ignored my calls once.

I continued to wait without thinking anything while continuing to rub my stomach and look at the results of my pregnancy, a smile always appeared on my face when I imagined Hunter's face when he encountered the matter of my pregnancy.

But the minutes ticked by and now it's been almost two and a half hours that I've been in the lobby waiting for him. He still couldn't be contacted and in the end, I decided to go home without him. I just sent him a message to go straight home if he saw my message.

When I got home, I was quite surprised to see Hunter's car there, parked in its usual place. He had returned home without telling me while I was waiting for him at the hospital because he said he would pick me up.

My annoyance disappeared when I remembered what I was going to tell him, I immediately went into the house and saw him sitting in the living room as if he was waiting for me to come home.

“Hey, what's wrong? I was waiting for you at the hospital because you said you would pick me up but—”

“Sit down,” Hunter said, his deep voice cold to my ears.

"Hunter, what's wrong?" I said as I sat beside him.

"There's something I need to talk to you, Olivia," Hunter said.

"Me too, there's something I want to tell you and I'm sure you'll be happy to hear it," I was just about to take my pregnancy results out of the bag when he said something that stopped me, no... he stopped my heart.

“Let's get a divorce,” Hunter said.
