Our Bond

Grayson POV

Zade glances at me.

“Izzy wants to work at the spa. We’ve got two trainee positions, and I said I’d talk to you about it. She’s your sister, so it’s up to you.”

I hesitate. “I’m not sure.” The thought of them working together makes me uneasy. Zade’s there every day for now, overseeing the business. The idea of them spending so much time together... I’m not comfortable with it.

He laughs, catching on to my hesitation. “What’s the problem?”

I groan, knowing how ridiculous I sound. “Because look at me and Sammi. Spending time together leads to getting closer. First, it’s just work, then it’s lunch breaks together, then it’s after-work parties, then next thing I know, she’s in your bed.”

Zade bursts out laughing, a deep, amused chuckle that has me groaning in frustration.

“Yeah, yeah, I know. I’m a hypocrite.” I mutter, rubbing my temples. The thought of Zade and Izzy growing close unnerves me more than I’d like to admit. Images float into my mind that I don't want to see. I f
