Chapter 1014

Matthew felt utterly drained. Even opening his eyes was a struggle, and his eyes ached unbearably. He could faintly hear people murmuring around him.

'Hmm? Isn’t that Lucy?' Matthew thought to himself. He could also hear the voice of Gabriella, his mother, and some other familiar voices that he could not quite place.

After a while, Matthew slowly opened his eyes. Lucy was sitting by his bedside, gazing at him with tears still glistening in her eyes.
