Ruth grabbed Abel’s neck and looked at him affectionately. “I can’t let you pick me up. This is a date I planned. What if you complain that I’m not considerate? I’ll have to do something to make up for it.”

Abel grabbed her waist and touched her forehead. “I’m not that petty.”

Ruth tilted her head. “You’re a cunning businessman. I must be careful.”

Abel smiled and did not refute her.

They got in the car, and Abel drove out of the underground parking lot.

Ruth had been using her phone with a straight face since she got in the car. It seemed like she was dealing with some business.

Abel glanced at her and casually asked, “You haven’t finished your work?”

Ruth hummed in agreement. She sent the last message and looked at Abel with a serious expression. “Honey, I have something to tell you.”

Abel raised his eyebrows. “I’m all ears.”

“Callum hasn’t returned all the money! He’s shameless! I told him to transfer the money to me within three days. On the last day, he only transferred t
