Ruth was gloomy after chatting with Katie. However, her mood brightened because of Abel’s words.

She sighed softly and said cutely, “Yeah, I don’t like romance movies. It’s my fault that Abel is not so dedicated to work anymore. He won’t watch the movie unless I join him. Let’s take Promises Under the Starry Sky as an example. He initially planned to watch it but didn’t because I had something come up.”

Ruth spoke insincerely and acted as if it was a pity. Even Abel could tell that she was doing it on purpose.

However, Katie did not notice it. She looked at them in surprise and asked in puzzlement, “Your wife? You two are really married?”

Ruth narrowed her eyes and looked at her. “Yes. You don’t look surprised, why is that?”

Katie calmed down and forced a smile. “Actually, Abel is not just my boss, so it’s not surprising that I heard about it.”

Ruth asked, “He’s not just your boss?”

Katie did not answer Ruth. She only continued with the meal quietly.
