All I feel is Numbness

I walked into the corner of the room with my ripped and bloodied shirt, groaning with every step I took, my body screamed out to me in pain begging me to relax and take a break to heal.

But I had so much left to do, that can't be left undone unless I want another hell on earth.

' Terra, are you awake? ' I asked my wolf but got no response

'Guess you are still out then' I muttered,

I couldn't blame her for being exhausted. Healing me always took a toll on her health. She was underfed and had to keep me in peak physical condition, so she was often tired and weak.

Dumping the bloodied shirt into the bin, I went into the bathroom to clean up, the wounds stinging as they got exposed to cold water. After doing my business and washing away the blood all over my body, I picked up another oversized shirt that I got from the bin, yes the bin is where I pick up my clothes from, all the ones I brought with me had been taken away since they were too pretty for a slave, their words not mine; and paired it with ripped jeans.

I'm not entirely sure if it was the design or it ripped due to overuse but either way, I'm grateful I have something to wear.

I went out of my room, making sure to keep my head down and avoid the eyes of the passerby. My body hurts but I can't stop, and I'm not entitled to use the medical facilities either

I continued my chore, cleaning out the plates they used for breakfast while fetching the ingredients that would be used for lunch.

Rule 10: All pack members must have a three squared meal unfailing and it must not be late.

How inhumane, I get to cook all three meals for five hundred healthy wolves but I won't get to have any.

Once I confirmed that they had all gone to their various training exercises, I began cleaning the rooms.

Once done with the cleanings, I went back to the kitchen to start preparing for lunch, upon getting there I met my best friend alongside some omegas cutting the vegetables and meats needed for lunch.

"When did you get back?" I asked as I moved closer to her, excited to see her again after so long.

I could use some peace at this moment and she always brought that with her.

"Just a few minutes ago" she replied with a smile as she brought me into a side hug, I winced out in pain at the crushing hug

"You look worse babes" Jissa whispered into my ears, her voice sounding pitiful and pained

"I'm good" I lied, I wouldn't want to hurt her feelings about leaving with her mate

"You can't lie to me darling" she commented and went back to cutting vegetables

"Did you bully the omegas to help with the cooking?" I asked curiously, knowing that they all hated being anywhere around me

"No, it wasn't me this time. The Luna asked them to help you out," She explained

"Oh" was all I could say, I could feel a glare sent my way from the direction the omegas were sitting and whispering amongst themselves

As we continued cooking silently in the kitchen I felt a familiar feeling and my heart leaped with joy.

They were here!

My parents are here!

I should find a way to tell them about reconsidering their plan to merge.

Damien walked into the kitchen carrying several shopping bags in his hands, he dropped them by the door and glared at me in disgust and hate before pulling me into his embrace, scenting me all over with his scent to cover the traces of blood and mine scent, making it seem we are a happy couple.

"Go get changed, dress properly we need to greet your parents, and you better behave yourself any slip-up and you'll find yourself to blame," he threatened and handed me one of the bags "Use the guest room beside my room" he added and walked out

"That fucking piece of shit!" Jissa swore with a pissed-off expression.

I didn't know what to feel, pained, angered, or sad.

But none of those emotions surfaced instead, all I feel is numbness.

Nothing else but numbness.

I marched out of the kitchen, tuning out all the curses my friend was throwing at Damien and his father.

I heard her following behind me while trying to pacify me.

But I'm not angry,

I'm going to stop whatever they plan no matter what!

I got dressed as commanded, looking the best I have in so many months. Jissa helped me with light makeup and brushed up my hair into a ponytail.

I exited the room and braced myself for the acting that was to come, I met Damien and my mum walking towards the alpha's office

"I've missed you so much!" My mum pulled me into her tight embrace, my heart tightened at the thought of lying to her and my father.

' I can't do this' Damien glared at me from behind my mum, mouthing me ' to behave '

"I've missed you too, Mum" I hugged back, fighting back the wince that threatened to fall from my lips.

"Oh dear, you smell so much like your mate" she giggled looking at me, I smiled without a reply. It was his plan to them think we were a loving couple

"Where is Dad?"

"Oh he is in the alpha's office, we came to finalize the merge of the two parks. Aren't you excited? Your dad and I can't wait to step down for you and your mate to take over!" She announced excitedly pulling me along with her as we entered the alpha's office.

My father eyed me for several minutes before pulling me into a hug "It's been rough hasn't it?" he whispered into my ears as he rubbed my back fondly and my eyes widened in shock

He knew?

How did he know?

"I may be old, but my alpha sense is still very much active" he replied to my silent question

I thought I had been alone all this while, but my father knew.

Tears of joy threatened to fall as a sigh of relief left my mouth.

I'm saved.

"Alpha Roderick, since the Supreme Alpha will be visiting your pack in the next few days, why don't we wait for him to be a witness to the merge? It's such a grand event and it would be worth it with the Supreme alpha in attendance." my father suggested.

"It appears she has been through some traumatic experiences that have left her wolf in a weak state and it will take some time and constant care to get her healthy again, her physical injuries are so much and she would be careful not to get them wet until they heal." I heard a quiet female voice mutter beside me and frown in confusion. Where am I? I opened my eyes, blinking continuously to get my eyes used to the brightness of the room. I looked around the unfamiliar room, standing beside my bed was a lady dressed in white, holding a notepad and pen, I frowned slightly trying to make sense of what was happening. Suddenly my head felt heavy as the event from the day before replayed in my mind. I paled in fear remembering that I had been mated to someone else last night and the weird woman I had met while running."Thank you, you can leave now, I will call for you again later to have her checked," a gruff male voice sounded and my wolf stirred at the sound of his voice. He demanded as he stood close to me, I felt his cold aura suffocating me but I needed to stand firmly and make sure he knew I wouldn't be a pushover anymore, with a firm gaze, I looked into his eyes and repeated my words. "I said I won't be going with you!" I heard Jissa and my mom gasp at my tone and defiance but I did not care, this is my life and I refuse to be stepped on like that again. "Alpha Mergec, please have mercy, she is still muddle-headed and doesn't know what she's doing" My mum rushed up with a pleading gaze. I noticed Alpha Mergec's eyes flickered from his normal hazel eyes to gold several times while we maintained eye contact. He looked away from me and out of the window behind me, once his aura had calmed a lot, he looked down at me."If you need to spend more days with your parents, that's fine, you can go back to their pack, but there is no way I'm leaving yo

I quickly glanced at my mother, who gave a subtle nod, confirming his identity. It was all so surreal - the man who I had raised my voice at and who I had looked up to as a child, was now standing before me as the mysterious werewolf Alpha King and my mate. I felt my heart lunge out of my chest in fear as I remembered the attitude I had given him previously, he must have heard the frantic beating of my heart and he gave a reassuring smile. "You reacted the way you were supposed to under that condition, it was my fault for not considering how you felt" he explained calmly, but instead of feeling calm, my heart raced even faster.'I am mated to the Alpha king?' 'The Alpha King!' I exclaimed in my head in unbelief and shock. "So what message do you have for me?" He asked with a more serious yet calm tone. I heaved a sigh and took a de

Even if you don't see it I'm going with you!" she stated firmly and got into the car under the scrutinizing gaze of everyone. "Who are you?" Jissa asked curiously, her tone flat and curious while giving the weirdly dressed Miranda a once over. Miranda turned to me with a piercing gaze and pursed lips, "Don't you know how to introduce your acquaintance?" she demanded giving me a scolding gaze. I let out a sigh and relaxed into the seat feeling exhausted. I closed my eyes as I thought about having to stay with this lady if she went with me. Mitchell's POVWe finally arrived at the Golden Leaves pack, and some guards opened the door for us immediately after we were parked. Jissa, who slept almost all through the journey, was the first to come out of the vehicle. I followed suit and Miranda came out last. Her outfit made her look out of place, but that was what she had on and we had no choice. We followed the Golden Leaves pack guards, while Alpha Mergec's guards followed behind. The werewolves of my pack had looks of pity, some kept happy faces as they watched us walk through the large compound. Everything seemed to have changed a little and I was taking in the whole scenery. To my far left, the guard's quarters that was a bungalow had now become a group of storied buildings. Beside them was another building, a new one, but I had no idea what it was.Looking to the other side, I saw that the orchard was bigger now. More trees and shade, meaning more cool breeze. MITCHELL’S POVToday is the day. I didn’t imagine this day would be like this. The flowers were more beautiful and the sun smiled dimly on us. Even the birds composed a little song for me and sang it endlessly from high up in the trees. Family and friends stood at the opposing sides of the aisle as I glided ceremoniously through it to meet the love of my life. He was standing at the other end, resplendent in all his manliness. His beta stood proudly beside him and Miranda watched at the head of the assembly. She was the ordaining minister. The floor was strewn with petals of Castilian roses. I have never seen that much in one place. And then, with a hot slap to my thigh, it vanished. My head felt as though it had been hit by a thousand bricks. I couldn’t see anything. Something seemed to press on my back. I tried to move, but it was not possible. I couldn’t move my hands and legs. They seemed to be held together by something rough and tight.
