Chapter 5

All day long Antonia has been looking for her First love and everyone either ignored her or call her crazy 

She got tired and sat down at a bench and noticed it was getting dark and that made her lose hope a little

"Did something happened to him? D-did he forget?........NO don't think like that Toni I am sure he didn't" then she heard her stomach grumble which was reasonable since she didn't eat anything all day so she decides to go buy something for herself but all of a sudden she bumped into someone that caused what he was holding fall

"oh I am so sorry sir, here help you- " when she looked up she was astounded to see that it was the same guy  that she ended up in the police station with, When he looked at her, he too was astounded

"ITS YOU!!" shouted both of them in union

"God please let this be a hallucination" begged Stephen closing his eyes and facing the sky

"HEY I am helping you here, and don't be so dramatic"

"Thanks" said Stephen sarcastically

"Hey you two, there has been a report, come with us"  Both Stephen and Antonia looked at each other, and both of them obviously dumbfounded and getting a sense of Deja vu

"Where are those kids?" said Eliza sitting at the restaurant Ruby told her to go to with David

Ruby told her father she wanted to have family time as an excuse earlier today afters he called Stephen which David saw through it and he was over the moon

"Give them some time, I am sure they are on their way"

Suddenly his phone rang and he answered "Hello?"

"Evening sir, is this David Brown Father of Stephen Brown?"

"Yes" answered David worryingly

"Well your son is in the police station, he says he doesn't have his ID with him and we need to verify his identity, so we called you"

"I am on my way," said David and stood up

"What is wrong?" asked Eliza

"Stephen is in the police station"

-Earlier-

"Hey sis I can't buy a birthday cake I have been called for an emergency at the hospital"

"WHAT?! YOU SHOULD HAVE INFORMED ME SOONER"

"Well I couldn't and now you know I will be late bye I have to enter an operation," said Daniel and hang up on his sister before she could shout at him more

"Son of B- NO deep breath Ruby you can think of something" but she gained a feeling of uneasiness which made her bet her life Stephen hasn't bought the party streamers, she quickly called him but he didn't answer

"Oh come on" whined Ruby

"Is something wrong Miss Brown?" she turned and saw her frenemy, Elijah 

"No... Actually, you know what? YES everything is wrong" and all of a sudden an idea popped into her head

"You remember the last bet we made?"

"Unfortunately"

"and the prize was the loser has to do anything the winner says," said Ruby smugly

"Yeah........ what embarrassing things are you gonna make me do this time?"

"Well it is you the lucky day, you just have to give me a ride to a couple of places"

"Realy? that's it? no humiliating things?"

"You know I will make you cut pineapples and at yell 'SpongeBob are you in there?' in front of everyone in the office not to mention I will record it and post it on the internet"

"I am good with giving you a ride"

"That's what I thought" smirked Ruby

"Where do you come up with these things?"

"Don't ask something you don't want to know"

They both got in Elijah's car and he asked her  "Where to?" 

"Take me to a store where it sells both birthday cake and party streams"

"Okie Dokie"

When they reached their Ruby dashed outside of the car and bought a bunch of party streams 

and a 2 layered cake 

"Hey come help me with these" shouted Ruby

"Coming" 

After they got everything in the car Ruby told him to take her home quickly and they drove off

"People were there for a walk and relax, why did you bother them with these?" said the police officer referring to the vitamin bottle in his hand

"It is illegal to sell these too, they are not approved here because it damages your physical body, Where did you get these?"

"The place where I work"

"and where is that?"

"XXXX XXXX"

"But that building has been shut down 2 weeks ago"

"What?"

"You have been scammed son"

"Oh my god"

"and you Miss are you with him?"

"No, I am-"

"No, she is not, she helped me gather the bottles when I dropped them"

Toni was surprised

"Then you can go home Miss," said the officer

"oh thanks," said Antonia and started to walk to the door with her suitcase

"I need your information son, what's your name?"

"Stephen Brown"

That made Antonia freeze

"Vermont primary school" and that made Stephen freeze and immediately faced her

"What?"

"Y-you went to Vermont primary school right?"

"H-how do you know?"'

"and you used to live near that school too, am I right?"

"Do you know me?

That made Toni gasp she can't believe that the sweet, handsome boy she saved and this guy that she fought with this morning is the same person  

"This can't be, This Stephen is the same Stephen?" whispered Toni

"Pardon?" asked Stephen not knowing what she was saying

"It can't be"

And at that moment David busted inside with Eliza behind him

"Are you this boy's father?"

"yes, I am here is my ID," said David handing him the card

"Thank you, I must inform you he was engaged in illegal sales activities" informed the officer

"Excuse me?" said Eliza

"He was scammed, he is not the first nor the last person that will be scammed, he is free to go now"

"Thank you, officer," said David

After they went outside Stephen immeadily apologized

"Dad I am so sorry, I-"

"It's ok son, you didn't know"

"But that doesn't make it ok, I am sorry"

"Why would take a job that would make you sell on the street in the first place?" asked Elza angrily

"BECAUSE FOR 2 years I have been having trouble having a steady job, I just didn't want to keep being the disgrace anymore," said Stephen almost crying

"Oh honey, you are not a disgrace, no matter what, but you shouldn't have taken that job when you knew it seemed shady, I would rather for you not work at all, than doing something illegal," said Eliza

"I am sorry"

"Now let us go home, call your siblings and tell them we went home," said David 

"Ok" responded Stephen but before he could call, Ruby call 

"Hello?"

"Stephen, where are you?"

"Outside of the police station"

There was a silence after that, until Ruby broke it

"Why am I not surprised? Did you get into a fight again?"

"NO, I-"

"Nevermind, Do you where are mom and dad? They are not answering their calls?"

"Oh they are with me"

"..Perfect tell them to go home, but tell them that I said I won't be able to make it"

"ok" Stephen knew she planned something and from his experience, he learned to just go with them and not by any means questioned her

"What did she say?" asked Eliza

"She said she won't be able to make it, and I told her we were already going home"

"Oh" mumbles Eliza obviously trying to hide her anger and David looked hurt

"thank you so much, for helping me with these decorations and giving me a ride, Elija"

"Well I did lose that bet, so I didn't have a choice" joked Elija

"so you wouldn't have helped me if it wasn't for the bet?" asked Ruby 

Elija turned to her direction and looked at her in the eyes and he couldn't tell what her expression was, she did look expressionless but there was something else didn't what it was, they kept staring into each other's eyes until
