CHAPTER 4️⃣

*Love Me*

"Where have you been?"Amber Balcoins asked Mara. She sat waiting patiently for Mara. It is already a new day and unless you are a twilight vampire, you are not allowed to stay under the sun. The family of Balcoin aren't twilight vampires.

"We had a game yesterday, I somehow got lost."Mara explained.

"Wow, you even have the guts to lie to me?. Katherine was also in the game. She came back yesterday night. You still haven't told where you were last night"Amber said softly but in a harsh tone.

Mara bowed her head, she doesn't know how to tell her stepmom about the wolf attack. Amber won't believe her. She had passed out the moment the other wolf saved her. She didn't know what happened after that.

"I was with Zane."She said in order to cover up the wolf story.

"What?!"Amber jerk up from her sit, "hope he didn't find out about you."

"No, I told him am from another family"She said. He actually almost found out and he's still in doubt.

"You bi tch"Amber slapped her hard on her face, "don't you dare come in between Katherine and Zane. I'll make you pay for it."

"Am so sorry ma"Amber said. She could feel the slap in her cheek bone. She wasn't allowed to touch her face when she is slapped by any of the Balcoin, so she endured the pain. 

"Hmm...what did you both discuss?, I want to know everything in details."Amber said. She sits down still fixing her eyes on Mara. She realized the mark and blood flowing on her neck.

"Did he do that to your neck?"Amber asked.

"Do what?"Mara placed her hands on her neck and realized she was bleeding. She hadn't noticed since she was rushing to go home.

"Oh, ye...yes"Mara lied. She didn't want to tell Amber anything else.

"That's good of him. You deserve it anyways."Amber chuckled.

"What's happening mum?"Katherine said loudly. She walked happily into the room. She had changed her hair colour.

"Oh, my beautiful daughter."Amber praised her. 

"My wonderful mum"Katherine sat besides Amber.

Mara felt uncomfortable standing in front of them, "I'll resume in the kitchen ma'am."

"Yes, I'll like to eat meat. Remember the way I like it, uncooked but spicy and with a lot of blood."Katherine said.

"Yes."Mara replied, "what about you ma'am?"

"Do what she told you to do, bi t ch"Amber cursed angrily.

Mara ignored her words and moved into the kitchen to start her work for the day. Waiting hopelessly for night to come and praying not to see Zane.

Conall paced around the room fuming angrily. He would stop at an interval and glance at Conri with annoyance. Conri, on the other side, sat worriedly on his throne.

"Why did you stop me?, We were almost close to getting that Vampire. We could have used her blood to complete the ritual process."Conall fired angrily at Conri.

"If using that girl's blood for the ritual is you plan, well I object. The priest should have another way to do this."Conri said.

"Well it's all my fault trying to help a ful like you. You are so close to finding your mate."Conall fired angrily again

"Yes so damn closed to finding her and also k!!!ng her."Conri fired back.

"Fighting will not solve the problem my princes."The priest walked in. Conall and Conri immediately stopped arguing. Apart from their father, they also respect the priest alot. The priest and the ex king were close friends.

"The only way to get you into Vamville is to cast a spell on the people. Which I have started the process. So by night, you should be in Vamville."The priest said.

"That's a nice way other than k!!!ing a vampire."Conri said.

"Prince Conri, you don't mind walking me back to my shrine?"The priest requested with a smile.

"I don't mind my priest. Anything for you."Conri said. He walks to the priest and helped him out of the room. 

Conall watched them go out quietly, he tiptoed to the throne. He sat down on it and started imagining the whole of Dark moon wolf pack under his feet. He laughed loudly.

"Very soon this throne will be mine. Just a few days to go."He thought with a wicked smile on his face.

"You need to be very careful of your brother."The priest warned Conri as they walked towards his shrine.

"Why do you say that?"Conri asked with a free mind.

"He is very dangerous. He is planning on taking the throne after you leave. He's your rival"The priest said.

"Did he k!!! My father?"Conri asked.

"That is not for me to say. The spell will only be for you and you mother. It will only last for 200 days, starting tomorrow. Find you mate and come and take your throne."The priest said. He walks quickly to his shrine leaving Conri behind.

"I will, for my mum and I"Conri said with determination.

That night class was very much different from the previous night. Desk and chairs were provided for the students. Mara came into the class late as usual but the teacher wasn't there yet.

She sat on a chair beside the wall. She sighted Zane and Katherine discussing. 

"They must really be that close."She thought. Her mind rushed back to the last night experience. She had felt the feeling of that wolf and he had also saved her. Who exactly is he?

"What are you thinking?"

"About me?"

"Why would I think about you?"Mara asked. She turn her face towards Zane.

"Wha... Woah!...how is this happening?"She opened her mouth in surprise. 

"What's that?"Zane asked.

"How are you there and here?"She asked still looking surprised. He is talking to Katherine and also talking to her.

"Oh about that?, That's another of my super power. Bi and multi location."Zane said.

"Wow, so impressive."She complemented.

"About last night..."Zane said.

"Hey pupils, am here with a new student"Ruby announced as she walks into the class with a young guy looking happy.

"Wow"The whole class became hypnotized by his beauty.

"Am Leon"The Young boy introduced himself.

"Leon"Mara repeatedly said the name in her heart. She could feel this Leon's emotions just like last night. And he also smell weird. He doesn't seem like a vampire, he's a wolf.

"Huh?"Mara said softly. It seems like no one noticed that he is a wolf cos everyone accepted him warmly.

"Hey"Zane tapped her to bring her out of her thoughts.

"He's handsome."Mara said.

"Am still here remember."Zane said out of jealousy.

"So?, He's still handsome than you."Mara said playfully but with a serious face. She couldn't remember the last time she smiled for real.

"Am going then, you won't see me again"

"Really?"Mara joked again.

And, "puff"He's gone with his other self. Katherine sat on her own now.

"Am new I'm Vamville and am here with my mum. I lost my father some years back. Am a twilight."He gave a detailed information about himself.

"Wow"The whole class said again.

Twilights are scarce to find especially handsome ones.

"So do you know anyone here?"Ruby asked.

"No, but I'll like to know her more."Leon answered pointing at Mara.

"Mara?, She's just a random girl at school. She's isn't smart. But I'll recommend Katherine or Liliana. They are great girls."Ruby whispered with a broad smile

"What's happening?"Mara thought. She wondered why the new guy pointed at her. Something about him feel strange as worse of all he is a wolf. 

"I'll find out after class."She concluded.

Leon looked up to the sky. There are beautiful shining stars and their queen, the moon stood unshaken in the sky. He chuckled as he remembers the warning given to him.

 The spell probably worked on the people of Vamville for them not to have noticed him. He also went with the flow. 

Finding his mate wasn't that difficult, the only difficult thing was making her fall in love with him.

"Hey Wolfie!"Mara shouted as she got closer to him.

"Huh?, Did you just call me Wolfie?"He asked. He looked around to be sure that no one was around and luckily everywhere was clear.

"Yes, I knew something was off today. Everyone seems to think you are a vampire. But I can smell Wolfie around you."Mara said. She sniffs his body in a playful manner.

"What about you veawolf?"Leon said. He wanted to desperately hid his secret. He didn't understand why she looks unaffected by the spell.

"Veawolf?, How did you know that?"Mara asked him. She search his eyes in order to read him but it was difficult. She could read people by just looking at their eyes. Leon's mind was blanked or maybe blocked.

"Are you trying to read me?"Leon asked. He already got her trick.

"You can't read me cos I blocked my mind. Only wolves can read each other. So that verified that you are a veawolf."

"Keep it a secret"Mara begged.

"Keep mine a secret too."He said.

"Why should I keep yours a secret?"Mara asked stubbornly.

"Cos, we are in the same boat. No we are not. If you tell people that am a wolf, they won't believe you."Leon said proudly.

"Huh, just keep mine a secret"

"On one condition"He said looking straight in her eyes, trying to pass through her mind. He goes closer to her to have a closer view.

"What?"

"Love me"Said Leon
