Chapter 1: I Lost Him!

(Matilda’s POV):

Everything around was destroyed to the core in just a glimpse of a moment, the troops were all dead, and blood was everywhere. The surroundings were filled with horrible black smoke and the disgusting smell of dead bodies of Vampires & Werewolves making it a dreadful and unbearable scene. Some were still alive but fearing for life. Some were still trying to win the war.

Matilda was standing at the top of the peak looking all around at the scenario happening in a war. She recently escaped from the Land of Dark. She clenched her fists when she glanced at her army, on the verge of losing the war. She didn’t want to let go of her kingdom which her father left for her. Thinking of it just boiled her blood.

 She changed her human form into a deadly werewolf and joined the war furiously. She breaks the head of every vampire coming on her way, tearing their bodies apart and spreading blood all around. She had a fire in her eyes seeking revenge. Her eyes were seeking the actual target.  That one person who is behind all this chaos and destruction.

While she was searching for him, a familiar voice echoed in her ear.

“So you are finally here!” a loud mocking voice called her from behind which diverted her attention and made her turn to see that one disgusting man who was fuming with a devilish smile on his evil face.

She went blank for a moment to see the man who ruined her life and snatched everything from her. He made her go through every pain and misery which she didn’t deserve at all. All devastating moments were crossing her mind, pangs of pain arose in her heart, and she closed her eyes to process the pain. Her heart was shedding tears of sorrow but then after a while, she opened her red eyes which were fuming in pain, anger, and fire of revenge.

 “You Devil!” She roared;

“Hahahhahaha”, he laughed evilly.

“And you Witch!!!”, he throws back his anger on her.

The fire in her eyes rose up.

“Still dare enough to speak in front of me after all you have done? I will kill you!!!”  She roared with sheer anger.

“O Dear Cousin!  Do you think you can kill me? Or you can escape from me? Who do you think you are? And you have no one left!”, he said evilly while taking closer steps toward her.

“I’m Lioness, who is alone enough to teach a lesson to Jackals” She throws her words with a smirk on her face.

Her words made him so furious that he shouted.

“You still have the nerve to act so naive and stubborn after losing everything. Let me see how you will get through this one! Bring him here! “Everyone will know who is the real jackal here!”, he replied with a suspicious smirk.

“I don’t have anything left to lose!”, she said fearlessly.

“How about this?”, he asked smirking.

He pointed his fingers in the direction where some vampires were dragging a half-conscious person forcefully, she tried to recognize the man’s face covered in blood, and the moment his face was revealed, her anger rose up.

“Nooooooo!! Torpedooo!! “How dare you?” She howled, grabbing that evil man’s collar.

“What happened now? “You were so brave a minute ago!”

After a pause, he uttered again.

“And Sweet Heart! This much anger is not good for you and your loved one! So be kind to me otherwise you will bear the….”

He stopped and looked at his men holding Torpedo, the minute he saw them they punched him hard on his chest making Torpedo jolt in pain.

“Ahhhhh….”

“Noooo…..stoppp..please!” Matilda almost begged crying in pain.

Marco continued and completed his sentence. Consequences!”, he said with a mocking smirk on his face.

“You can’t fight with me! If you want to be alive and save him then you will kneel in front of me.”

“Now…kneel you naive princess…bow down to your new king!”, Marco said proudly.

She became so angry to hear him say that and to see Torpedo in so much pain that she spat on his face which made Marco more furious!

You, nasty person! Damn, you Bastard!

 “How dare you spit on my face; you whore?” He yelled at her while she was still smirking fearlessly;

“Huh…. Kneel in front of you? In your dreams! You deserve hell, not a throne!”

“Still fearless enough han? I think you haven’t taken my warning seriously! I think you don’t love this person and don’t want to save him!” He said devilishly while wiping his face.

He ordered his people by staring into her eyes with a mischievous smirk.

She looked at him with suspicious looks but her jaw dropped with pain when his men stabbed the half-dead person.

“Nooooo” She screamed violently at the top of her lungs with uncontrollable tears in her aqua blue eyes falling like a pearl. 

The moment Torpedo fell down unconsciously, she fell on her knees and felt her world falling apart. She was in a devastated state for a moment but when she glanced at the source of this misery fading away for his goal, she felt sheer anger inside her that she got up with strange courage and fire of revenge that the strong power with blue color emit from her whole body like a burning fire, her eye color turned into strong dark blue. It seemed like her body is excreting her emotions through her powers. Everyone present there took their steps back in fear as they now believed that no one can save them now.

And in a moment everyone present there turned into dead bodies because of her powers. It seemed like they didn’t feel death and turned into dead souls. She howled in pain, violence, and regret. She had mixed emotions at that time. She couldn’t judge her emotions or what she should actually have felt! Regret? Because she couldn’t confess her feelings or pain because the person she loved is dead, or violent because she always denied his love for her? In her, this is the second time she felt the feelings of being helplessness.

She ran to Torpedo and held him in her arms while arresting his head on her lap.

“Please Get up” Matilda screamed in pain that was dissolving her soul.                                                                                                                                                   

“You can’t die like this! I need you Torpedo and I have so much to confess” She begged in her cracking voice trying to caress torpedo’s head resting on her lap.

“I can’t let you die! Please stay!” She shouted at the top of her lungs.

Gradually, Torpedo lifted up his eyelids. His vision was blurry as he was on his last breaths. She looked at his face drenched with blood, her pupils wide with hope.

“Torpedo, you…” She was about to express her inner emotion but was interrupted by a low voice of Torpedo: “Shhhh”! Let me speak now! You have spoken a lot.” He said with his cracking voice yet with a slight smile, staring deeply into her watery eyes.

“I love you with all my heart all through my life. You were and will be my mate in another’s life” He spoke with his heavy yet calming breaths.

“You know I never met a woman like you in my whole life. You are my woman of love! Queen of my heart!”

“Now you have to be strong enough to hold on to the kingdom as you always wished, you have to beat Marco. Don’t let him have what is yours! And I believe you, you can do this without me!” He stopped at his last word. Torpedo slowly closed his eyes and went silent leaving Matilda screaming in pain.

Death never allowed someone to breathe more than their counted breaths.

“No… Torpedo, please get up. Please don’t leave me! You can’t leave me” She screamed on the verge of crying;

But he was not responding to her nor moving.

“Torpedo...” She tried to call him and shrug him to have him back. But there was no response. His cold body was telling her that he is no more. His soul had already left the world forever. A smile and peace were plastered on his face while she was admiring his handsome face with love and sadness. She was memorizing all the moments that she had spent with her. They were Golden moments for her that she will keep in her memories forever.

She attached her face to his while crying her heart out.

“Torpedo… I love you so much…How can you even expect that I would be able to live my life peacefully without you? How can I achieve my dreams without you? You are my dream!” She said between heavy breaths and tears.

She stood up with her emotionless face, and she looked at the sky tearfully, looking for the only hope she can get from God…It was getting more dark with a red spot in the center seem like blood. It was something mysterious happening in the sky that she has never seen or heard before.

“Matilda!!!???” A voice touched her ears making her jolt in shock. She looked in the voice’s direction and was stilled to see that person.
