Not only is it him losing the princess but now losing Anya as well. His heart and mind can't take too much more of this. He just wanted to die every time it happened.
His eyes fell on the Angel beside him and he sighed. He had to fight it because he promised her he would. He snuggled down to her as he sighed. He should go and shower. He was sticky and gross. Anya slowly started to feel the warmth of her body as it lay comfortable on the supportive mattress. A small weight in her stomach caused no discomfort. She could smell the fresh dew that lay on the grass outside and the night animals heading to their burrows. The morning chickadee’s singing their sweet melody.
