Carolina’s POV - Reunion To say that I am pissed and annoyed at how everything went down is putting it mildly. I am even more annoyed that I had to confront my father with my failures. My father, Donovan Clark, was the previous Delta before my brother, Bryant, took over. And well, knowing my father, I will probably be labeled incompetent now. It’s a relatively short trip back to Highplains Pack from Dark Claw Mountain, which doesn’t give me much time to devise a valid excuse for my failure. I know Father will be upset at me, and I fear what he may say or do. How would I have known that Ryker would meet his fated mate at The Mate Ball? Even after the history we have with those events. It was back with my father as Delta, Alpha Adeline, Ryker’s mother, was on her way there with the Alpha Consort Mathew. And they were assassinated. At least, that’s the story. My father was in charge of the investigation. I was still young, so I don’t remember much, just a few glimpses of Ryker
Dira's POV - IntimacyWaking up with sparks, tingles, and everything delicious all over my body is definitely something that I can get used to very fast. But reality calls, and so is whatever it is that is poking my back. I shifted a little, dislodging from Ryker's hold on me. One of his arms is holding the weight of my head, and his free hand is cupping my breast like a stress ball. And his face is firmly lodged in my neck, under the mass of hair all over. I don't know how he hasn't sneezed on my ear with my hair tickling his face. I giggle a little at this. I finally was able to shift around and face him. He is peaking at me with one eye open and the other close. "Good morning, my Queen," he said, sleep still very much present in his voice, and I am not going to lie, is causing other things to stir early in the morning. "Good morning, My King," I reply with the same pet name he gave me. He pulls me closer to him, my hands resting on his chest. His hand ran circles on my back. T
Ryker’s POV - One more day “Yes, there is one more thing.” I cleared my throat again, “Domino wants to meet your wolf.”. Dira started coughing. “He wants to meet Reneeira?” She asks me. I see her eyes turning red, her wolf making her presence known. “Hello there, Reneeira. How are you”?, I ask her, looking straight at her eyes. “Hello mate, nice to meet you,” Reneeira says through Dira. “Yes, I want to meet Domino too,” she confirms. I feel my eyes changing and Domino taking over, my voice rough. “Hello, mate, I will see you soon,” he says, winking at her. I see Dira, or rather Reneeira, giggling. Oh no, we have teenage wolfs. Only the Goddess knows what they will do when left to their devices. Dira blinks back, and her eyes return to her chocolate brown. “Welcome back, gorgeous,” I say. “Okay, so Reneeria decided to come out. Guess you met her,” she asks me. “Yes, and Domino came out as well. At least they introduced each other,” shrugged. “When do you want to let
It's morning already. I can’t believe they went all night at it. I am just glad they had fun. I am all tangled up with Ryker, limbs everywhere. I don’t know how we could sleep in these conditions. I feel the sand inside my ass crack. That’s going to hurt walking back to the car. Because we are werewolves, nudity is not a problem, but I am not in any mood to let some unmated she-wolves take a peek at my mate. “Wake up, sleeping beauty, we need to head back,” I tell Ryker, untangling from him. “Just five more minutes,” he cozies up on my midriff. Cute, that’s how he looks when he needs to wake up and is fighting against it. I can get used to waking up like this, sans the sand. “You are heading home today, aren’t you?” I asked him. I knew he was awake. He just opened one eye to look at me. “You are such a party pooper,” he groans, complaining. “I may be, hence why I want to have as much time together before you leave,” I sigh. He is now fully awake after saying this. “You ar
Hello, my dear readers, I cannot express with words how grateful I am that you have given me the chance to bring Dira's and Ryker's stories to life. It means the world to me. However, my real life came calling, and it never crossed my mind I would write by the time my travel plans came to fruition. This is an exciting moment for me. I have planned for this trip for a few years now and now I can make it come true. From September 30th, 2023 til October 14th, 2023. I will be out of the country. But don't fret. I will use my iPad to keep writing and will start posting as soon as I can edit everything. All of you deserve my best, and I was hoping to have some chapters written to make the time go faster. But alas, it didn't. And for that, I am sorry. I believe we reach a point in my story when we will see more of the struggles of Dira and Ryker. I won't tell you what, but I hope you have picked on some hints I had left for you. I will always wish for everyone to be happy, to be heal
First, I would like to apologize for my absence keeping you waiting. I was working with some personal stuff and, frankly, felt like I was not up to my potential and to the story I wanted to tell. I will continue to update as much as I can. Thank you for staying with me and for giving me a chance. After this, we will begin the 2 parts of my story. Stay tuned for more. Update: The story continues with Ryker going back to his pack High Plains with Leno, leaving Nora and Dira behind. We get to see more of the pack members from High Plains while also trying to uncover Ryker's reasons to joining The Federation
I just left because otherwise Dira would have hated me. I wanted to beat that asshole face, talking to my mate like that. Not going to lie, I like how she’s stood her ground, not giving in on his questionnaire. Annoying at that is. Is her pack, for now. I’ve been fuming, pacing back and forth on the plane. “Can you sit your ass down?” Leno asks. I can feel his exasperation at me. “No, I can’t. I am still mad at that asshole,” I snapped back at him. “Dude, calm down. There’s nothing we can do. We have to leave our girls behind. It is not like they don’t know how to take care of themselves,” he says, shrugging. "I know that, but Nora has a mark," I stated. “Dira is not, big difference,” I stated. “So what, your girl is strong, and stubborn, just like you, besides pretty much by tomorrow everyone will know she is a Luna to be,” he shrugged stating the obvious. “I know, but I still wanted to plummet his face against the bar counter,” I say, grinning, thinking about how he would l
It’s been about a week since Leno and I came back together from Dark Claw after The Mate Ball and the rollercoaster of events that it transpired while there. I miss Dira, but I also understand that she needs to do this on her own terms. We talk on the phone and video. I miss her smell, but her laugh makes me soar as high as when heard her or see her. The guys just laugh at me because I am behaving like a lovesick puppy, but you know what? I don’t care. She is everything.I heard someone knocking on the door, “Come in”, I call out. Bryant is walking in with a stack of papers, like I already don’t have enough covering my desk.Bryant informs me that there are additional permits that need to be sorted out for planning and structural updates.“You know, with those muscles, I wouldn’t have pictured you as the personal assistant type,” I tell him, laughing.“Hilar
