Chapter 28

Alpha Damien's pov.

This event will be one of the biggest I have ever held.

I can not remember the last time I held such a grand event.

I quickly ran through my invites list one more time.

The council members, curten pack, labvil pack ...and the list went on and on. I wanted everyone to be present at this event.

I wanted no mistakes at all.

I was so tired for the day as the planning took all of my time.

The words of Luther came ringing into my head like a bell "I have feelings for her".

He must be joking because Amelia is mine, she is my mate.He is too young and feeble minded.

He doesn't know what her addition to the pack will bring. She is my Luna.

She is indeed very beautiful and calm yet she has some fire in her which I would bring out in her in time to come.

I placed the invites list on top of my bed and headed out for a stroll.

I needed some peace and quiet so I walked through the garden thinking of the event that was only a few hours away.

The night was peaceful and the moon sitted beautifully on the sky.

What a wonderful night to be a leader.

I looked around the palace in fulfillment and continued my stroll.

Just then I heard a feminine laugh across the garden and walked to the direction it came from.

I got closer and it stopped."I guess my minds are playing tricks with me."I said and made to move from the place I stood when it came again right above me.

So I looked upwards to the roof top and there they were talking.

It was none other than Luther and Amelia,I warned this young man to stay away from my Amelia but obviously he turned a deaf ear to me.

As the silver moon cast its ethereal glow upon the enchanted forest,My eyes caught sight of Luther and Amelia engaged in a conversation. A surge of fury coursed through his veins, overpowering my rationality.

Consumed by my emotions,I stormed up to the stairs ignoring the guards that bowed as I got closer to the rooftop.

Before Luther could say anything I landed a punch on his face and dragged him by the collar with my left hand and my other fists were close up to his face.

I was so angry,I wanted to devour him.

I watched as his eyes widened in surprise of my punch.

I am a fierce and protective leader of my pack and I would not let Luther embarrass me this way. I found myself facing a moment of great turmoil. My heart was filled with love for Amelia.

My fangs bared and my claws extended.

The clash echoed through the silent night, my growls and snarls reverberating among the ancient trees. The moon watched in solemn silence, witnessing the consequences of my unchecked rage.

Just as I had his collar wrapped around my claws I looked to the side and saw Amelia standing innocently with fear.

I immediately left his collar as realization struck me.

I saw fear and confusion mirrored through Amelia's eyes,with a deep breath, I lowered my stance, signaling an end to the violence. I knew that attacking Luther would not solve the underlying issues.

Just then I felt Amelia's touch at my back urging me to stop.Her touch was like a gentle breeze that cools the flames of my anger.

My eyes met with Amelia and at that moment I realized the gravity of my actions.

Gathering my strength, I approached Luther, my voice steady yet filled with a mix of authority.

I raised my index finger and walked up to him "STAY AWAY!",I commanded and dragged Amelia alongside me as I walked straight to my room.

I have grown possessive of Amelia.

I took her to my room and signaled for her to go to bed but she stood still staring at me.

"I said," Go To Bed!" She startled and quickly jumped on the bed and wrapped herself with the blanket.

I hit my hands on the wall countless times to reduce the anger I felt within my nerves.

I just couldn't control it.

I went to bed next to Amelia and soon after I dozed off.

I woke to Amelia arms wrapped around my chest. I tried to get up slightly so I dong wake her but unfortunately my big hefty shoulders didn't make that work.

She got up and moved her body away from mine, obviously she was still scared after what happened last night.

I got close to her and her fingers and got close to her.

"Listen little one I didn't mean to startle you with my actions last night, everything happened so fast and I lost control when I saw you laughing with someone else that wasn't me."I said rubbing my palm on her tender little palm.

"That someone else is your son or don't I have the right to speak to males anymore?" She asked with a teary eye.

"You can speak to whoever you want to in the palace but not Lincoln" I said.

"But why?" She asked.

I quickly stood up and turned my back on her

"No more questions!."

"Go to your room,today is the event",I said.

Just as she was about to leave I dragged her close to me and kissed her passionately.

She lifted her face and bit her lips lustfully while staring from my eyes to my lips in a questionable manner.

I loosened my grip on her waist.

"Look good tonight Amelia" I added.

She smiled and blew me a kiss right before leaving for her room.

I walked straight to the window and lifted the curtains.

I took out my invites list and scanned through it one more time and heaved a sigh of relief.

"Today is definitely going to go as expected",I said and made way to the bathroom to have my bath.
