Chapter 29

Alpha Damien's Pov.

I immediately had my bath and prepared for what was coming.

I placed my outfit on the bed and stood in front of it.I was filled with contentment,I never get this excited if it isn't a win from a war.

For the first time in a long time I felt happiness because I'm finally going to get everything together in the pack.

I have been craving this for years and everything is finally falling into place.

Night came faster than normal on that day.

And guests trooped into the palace.

Packs from different parts of the great forest made their way through the palace gates.

I wore my outfit and looked in the mirror.I always look handsome but tonight was exceptional . I looked breathtaking even if age wasn't on my side,I still looked and sounded like a young lad.

I immediately combed my hair to the back and went to my glass window as I saw different people smiling and walking through the big gate.

I made my way through the hallway and a hand copped my right arm,I turned and it was Lucy she smiled at me.

Today is a pleasant day. I wouldn't let my anger get the best of me so I let her.

I smiled back and together we walked into the ballroom were everyone was standing,I removed my arm from Lucy's grip and went to welcome my guests.

I saw all my brides beautifully dressed.

I walked up to Luther who was talking to some friends then I pulled him in for a conversation.

After yesterday's incident I didn't get a chance to talk to him or apologize.

I am never one to apologize to anyone even if that person was my own son.

"Luther yesterday night is history and It's best for the pack if we leave it behind us" I stated,staring at him.

He nodded in the affirmative and walked back to his group of friends.

"That right there is how you apologize",I thought to myself.

I am not only an Alpha, I am definitely the best dad anyone needs.

I looked around the room in search of Amelia but she was nowhere to be found.

I searched the bar too but I didn't see anyone that looked like her.

I immediately walked up to Lana, my arms crossed behind my back. "Where is Amelia?" I said in a whisper.

"I do not know Alpha,I haven't seen her all day",she said.

I instantly became worried,I was walking up to one of the guards when I heard gasps from behind.

I turned my gaze to where everyone seemed to be staring and with mouths wide open.

It was Amelia, standing gracefully in her black high collar gown.

She looked perfect,her tender skin glittering through the gown.

All mine,she is all mine I immediately reached out for a glass from the waiter that walked past me.

And with a spoon I hit the top of the glass for the attention of everyone in the room.

Soon after all eyes were on me waiting to hear what I had to say.

I smiled at the crowd and raised my glass above my head.

"I will like to make a toast to someone special tonight".

"Someone as fierce as burning flames and as gentle as the morning breeze"

"Amelia".

I said and eyes started turning as murmurs filled the room.

I could see Amelia's cheeks turn red as I walked up to her and took her hands to the front of the crowd.

I looked into her eyes and it felt like time stopped for us. I was drawn to her charming smile.

"Everyone meet my Luna!" Everyone started clapping as I pulled her close and gave her a kiss on the forehead.

I pulled her in for a tight hug and I watched as Lucy stormed out of the room in anger.

She obviously won't understand what Amelia means to me.

"I love you," Amelia whispered.

I smiled and the hug tightened.

"I need your attention everyone!!!"

I turned and to my greatest surprise it was Luther hitting his glass to get the attention of everyone.

I was eager to hear what he had to say.

I held Amelia close to me and waited to hear what Luther had to say.

"I was reluctant on whether I should give this out to the public or not but on hearing what alpha Damien said I just couldn't keep this in anymore" Luther said .

I hope he doesn't say or do anything stupid because all the people here hold me in high regard.

The council members are also here,I just hoped he doesn't ruin this night.

"I have found my mate!!!", He said and the room once again was filled with murmurs.

"I have found her after a long time searching and she is here among all of us tonight" he added.

"And who could that be?",one of my brides asked.

"I wish I could disclose her name to you all but it wouldn't be a surprise if I did right?,But she knows herself" he added.

Whoof! I let out a heavy sigh.

I thought he would mention my Amelia but I thank the moon goddess that he has a mate now.

At least his eyes and wants for Amelia is not something I should worry myself about anymore.

The evening went on smoothly and I took Amelia with me to welcome the guests. Everyone was pleased with the event from the council members to the head of the various packs that attended.

I walked up to Luther and put a hand on his shoulder.

"I am proud of you and I can't wait to meet your mate"

"Of course you'll be the first to meet her," he said and smiled at me.

My heart was filled with joy on hearing this.

He still considers me worthy to be the first to meet his mate.

With joy in my heart I went back to the council to continue our discussion.
