Congratulations

Blue's POV

The news was out already. The bellman of the Night Shade pack had gone into the pack and announced to everyone about my pregnancy.

And now the gates of the palace had been opened to all. I was dressed in an official white royal dress, and Wilder was seated next to me at my right-hand side.

"Congratulations your highness, I wish nothing but good health to you and your child." Lord Stephen said, placing a small pouch of gold coins on my feet. It was a tradition that once the queen was pregnant, the people congratulated the queen while laying gifts on her feet.

A tradition that I have come to love. Growing up, I didn't really ever get gifts from anyone, so somehow... it feels like this whole tradition is giving me all the gifts I didn't get while growing up.

"Thank you, Lord Stephen." I responded back, smiling gratefully. Wilder had appointed new lords, and, of course, they were all far better than the old ones.

"I know this isn't much, but please accept this your highness.
