I sneaked out of bed once the first set of lights touched the sky.

Thankfully, Arden was a heavy sleeper so he did not notice me moving around the room. I picked out a dark blue dress this time. It hugged my chest and flowed freely down my legs, stopping on my thighs. Then I put on the knee-high boots from yesterday and the leather jacket for protection from the cold. Next, I tied my hair up into a messy bun and threw one last glance at Arden before stepping out of the room.

The house was still dark as I quietly made my way down the steps and into the grand hall. As I headed for the door, I prayed to the goddess that the outcome of today's event would work in my favor. I had already lost two days. I did not have much time. Only the goddess knew the next time another Death wraith was going to attack me.
