Emelia's POV

I can't help staring at him closely, trying to gorge out what could be wrong with him. Obviously there were many factors at work here, but I just couldn't place my finger on it. I knew Damien was different, I just didn't know what he was.

My look didn't go unnoticed by him. " Have you looked enough?" his lips curled up in an amused smirk. I hurriedly turned my gaze away from him, feeling embarrassed that he had caught me looking. He must think I was flirting with him.

" Don't get me wrong, I just think there is something off about you "
