He expected her temper, at least. But earning her wrath was a surprise for Keith.
He knew Amanda as an innocent woman, pure of naivety. That she was easy to take control of and she would obey any wishes he made. That’s how marriage life works for them.
Watching her walk away felt something strange inside his chest. As if something with significance was with her as she departed from his life. Keith hadn’t thought Amanda with much worth other than his timid wife. And seeing her once more had triggered the feelings Keith didn't want to recognize.
Amanda was long gone but he’s still staring at the end of the road where the car disappeared in the corner. He sighed and glanced at his wrist watch. It’s already half past four in the afternoon. He needed to leave soon and tried his luck of persuading his ex-wife some other time.
Keith walked towards his car and brought out two small basket arrangements of white lilies and roses. He hadn’t had the chance to see his in-laws on their last day as he was afraid to cause a scene. So now he got the chance to pay respect to Amanda’s parents.
He put each arrangement on the grave. Then Keith muttered a short prayer for their souls to rest in peace. They may have harbored hard feelings for him of what he’d done to their only daughter but nonetheless, he wanted them to have solitude.
“I’m not sure if you’ll ever forgive me,” Keith uttered before them. It seems rain will come soon. The sky was getting dark as minutes passed by. “But I would like to try…”
“Even if my reasons were not as what you expected, I’d like to make amends with your daughter.”
Since that day, Keith had never been the same again. It’s odd that her image had always crossed his mind from time to time that interrupted most of his work. Keith will see himself just stop doing things while staring at the wall across the room. The latest of his so-called ‘Daydreaming’ was in the middle of an important meeting. But he made his way out, bringing his uncalled shame to draw questions from the presenter.
Ah, this won’t do. He told himself one afternoon after having some coffee. He thought of so many ways just to exhaust his mind and not be able to think of her. But Amanda sure used some kind of hex on her. She’s all that he could think of at the moment that it ruined his everyday algorithm.
The next morning, he received a kraft envelope from Alan. His assistant informed him that it came from one of the trusted men of his grandfather, Don Kennedy. Curioused, he opened the envelope immediately and was stupefied of its contents.
In a detailed report, Keith read the whole document and it came to his knowledge that he misjudged his wife. That all the pictures sent to him were all edited, skilfully edited. Together with the documents were the proof of his wife’s innocence. Crestfallen, Keith felt a deep regret at how unfair he’d become to his wife.
Now, his grandfather might think he's a total fool once again, relying on false information and executing unjust treatment to the victim without prior due process.
It changes everything the way he sees it now. That what he experiences was all because of him being incapable of assessing the situation thoroughly. And that he let his emotions clouded his judgment.
Amanda still hadn’t come around with all the efforts he exerted for the next few days. He totally shunned him after a few attempts, she also had changed her number. Alma had been unreachable as well.
Keith could resort to force, could make use of the money he had to get what he wanted. However, he was thinking about Amanda. She’ll probably won’t forgive him even for the second time.
Troubled, that evening he went to the nearest bar to unwind. Maybe he needed the help of alcohol. He’d never been around the bars lately. Since Sarah came back to his life, she was all he could think of that it excites him to go to their home.
Ah, Sarah. Keith was savoring his scotch on the rock as her image popped out of his mind. His beautiful Sarah. She’d been patient, waiting for him at their new home at one of his properties in the city. Having Sarah around had been full of color, the nights had been special ever since.
He ruffled his hair, confused. He hadn’t said a thing to her about the clause of the contract. Keith knew that if Sarah learned about it, she would leave him for good. There’s no woman who’ll settle as an option. And he wouldn’t want her to feel it that way either.
~*~
Sarah was staring at her own reflection on the mirror. She’s wearing her newly purchased lingerie in this famous store using the card that Keith gave to her the other day. She thought that the man needed good-old sex in the comfort of their bedroom. She was not that dense. She could feel that Keith was slowly drifting away in some sense.
It’s a black lace deep-V bodysuit with beautiful unlined lace and trendy strappy details that perfectly show off her to-die-for body. Her bum was on the sight with that piece of g-string attached to it.
Sarah felt sexy as always. And she knew fairly that Keith loved to romanticize her body on all corners of that apartment. Yes, they’re living in a high-end apartment near the city.
She asked him before why they can’t take the old mansion. Keith plainly said that his grandfather won’t allow it. It was the old man’s gift to Keith and Amanda when they were newlyweds. And as much as she wanted to, she can’t push the topic and just wait for Keith to already put a ring on her finger so she could be officially Mrs. Harris.
Eventually, all his possessions will be hers as well. It wouldn’t hurt to wait until that time comes. As long as he can provide her for everything, she just has to be a good host in and out of their bed.
She’s fixing her hair when she heard the familiar sound of the car that parked in the garage. Immediately, Sarah fixed herself, making her more seductive to his eyes before she covered her frame with a robe. She already drinks her pills beforehand. She couldn’t risk getting pregnant at times like this even if Keith wanted it so badly. He wasn’t using any protection from the beginning. And she didn’t want him either. No rubber was still the best feeling for her.
Sarah meets Keith halfway in the living room. She greeted him, kissed him fully in the mouth. She lingered on the bitter taste of alcohol, coaxed him to deepen the kiss. However, Keith stopped her, holding both her arms as he pushed her away.
“I’m tired, Sarah,” his blue eyes bored her.
Her forehead creased. Keith would never deny sex with her. He just can’t. “Why? What happened?”
Keith shocked his head. “There’s nothing for you to worry about. Some problem arises inside the office.”
But a part of her was not convinced of his words. She can see through him. He’s hiding something important to her. And she could just make him say it in the way she knew best.
Men are always men. Either in business or pleasure, they can be easily tempted. And no matter how they resist, she could easily find a way to revive the lost appetite. The night was still young, and Sarah could think of so many ways on how to please a man.
Sarah locked her arms around his neck and kissed him again fully on the mouth. She felt Keith resisted, his hands on her shoulders. He’s about to push her again when she pulled away.
“No matter what your problem is, I can erase it,” she liked the side of his mouth, provoking him in the most sensual way possible as her hand crept its way to his crotch. “Just let me do the act, Keith.”
“I’m really tired—”
“I can really be persuasive, you know that,” then her tongue went inside his mouth to taste him again while stroking him from below. “You can’t easily drive me away—”
“I know…I know it, Sarah,” and he carried her bridal style and brought her to their room.
Keith had always been passionate about her, paying homage to every nook and cranny of her body. She loved the way his mouth branded her skin, his tongue trailed the sensitive spots no man after her had aroused before. That tongue was as sinful as his mouth, but the devil was yet to come.
Sex with Keith had always been overwhelming. He’s always drawing her to heights in every orgasm she takes.
True to her words, she takes the initiative and controls the pace. Keith was lying on the bed, gritting his teeth as she let his engorged maleness pale her from the inside. She took him all, licked the bottom of her lip as she grind her arse to the rhythm both they enjoyed the most.
She fastened the pace, the sound of their skin slapping and their harsh breath was all she could hear. Keith met her with full thrust until he came inside of her. His shaft was shooting loads of semen inside her that it felt delicious.
Sarah was about to begin again, starting to grind her hips for another round when she heard Keith mutter a name. She was expecting it to be hers. But she was disappointed to hear his ex-wife’s name.
The next few days are exhausting. Amanda was relieved that Keith had finally given up pursuing her. She already cut ties to him, changed her number and won’t entertain any of his men coming to her doorstep delivering various luxury things. It’s the least that she wanted. She wanted her peace after the tragedy that happened to her and Keith was never part of it.As she’s in her first month of her pregnancy, being alone in her parent’s house was hard. Dealing with her morning sickness everyday can be weary at times. And she craved some food, bizarre combinations, and troubled her best friend a lot for finding them. All these changes she gladly accepted. She’s actually looking forward to experiencing the journey of her pregnancy. There’s nothing in this world that could excite her more than to see her baby after a couple of months from now. And she’ll do everything she can to bring him or her safe and healthy into this world. She already made an appointment to an Ob-gyne. Her doctor had
Deja vu. It’s what Amanda was feeling right now. The only difference was it wasn’t the same scenario as the last time. And she wasn’t at loss now unlike before when she met him.She felt uncomfortable looking at the man who once saved her life out of her stupidity. He’s the one who almost hit her with his black Maybach. It was raining at that moment. And Amanda really thought that it was the end for her.She hadn’t had the chance to thank him after he drove her to the nearest hospital just to see if she’s really okay. He paid all the expenses and even extended his efforts to send her back to her home.Amanda really thought that it was the last time she'd see the man. The fact that he’s Richard Rodriguez, the one who succeeds the position as the CEO of the Ferrer Properties, was one thing. To see him in person for her interview is totally another! Her confidence was gone and her heartbeat went into overdrive. She could almost hear her heartbeat into her ears. Amanda was intimidated by
That woman, what was she doing out here?“Are you saying something?” Alma got back to their table after she took her time in the restroom. She had this curioused look as she took her seat across from her.She brought her to a newly opened restaurant not so far from the Ferrer Properties. Alma insisted on using her car so Amanda left her own at the parking lot back in the said building. Her best friend had reprimanded her not to drive on her own since she’s pregnant. She was guilty about it and accepted all Alma had said shyly. They already gave their orders to the waiter and were waiting for their food to be served. Alma opted for some pasta while she requested something heavy. Somehow, Amanda felt starved after that interview with the CEO. And seeing that woman had made it worse. You know what they say, pregnant women should always be happy. And one of her happy pills was to satisfy her appetite from dusk till dawn. She shook her head and glanced at the window beside her. “No…nothing
Keith wasn’t his best lately. He should’ve known. His loss of focus had been noticed by his executives and employees. And it gives the bad impression that he was slacking off which was not the case. It’s just that there’s a certain woman who always messes up his mind all the time. And that certain woman wasn't supposed to be a bother to him at all!Beside the unrest he’s experiencing at the moment, he had to make it up with Sarah. He doesn't know what’s her deal but since that day, she has changed quite a bit. He could tell that something was off. And that his card can’t sufficer her anymore.Maybe she wanted some quality time. Keith admitted that he lost time with her. Or rather say, he can’t make time for her. And he was sorry that Sarah had to feel it that way.He had promised her the world. He had sworn to be there for her whenever possible. And it seems he’s been neglecting his duties as her man. So he needs to redeem himself and set his priorities straight. For quite awhile, Kei
Amanda forcefully wiped her mouth as if that would erase what Keith had done. Alma had been knocking the door consistently. She needs him to leave this instant before her best friend could tell something. “This is my last warning—”Irritated, Alma barged inside the house with her spare key and saw her with Keith in the living room. Before her best friend could react, Keith made a final say.“This will not be the last time you’ll see me, Amanda,” He shook his head while standing upfront her. “It won’t be…” his eyes hold promise that he intended to keep.“Goodbye for now.” and he walked past Alma and closed the door behind.Amanda was shaking from anger and fear combined. She bit her lower lip as she grabbed something hard to hold on. Alma came to her and held her hand. Her best friend was worried. Alma sounded frantic.“Amanda, hey! Are you alright?” Alma led her to one of their couches and made her sit so she could relax. Then she brought her a glass of water to drink. “What?”“Should
Amanda yawned as she reached for her alarm clock to stop it. With still half eyes closed, she glanced at the time. It’s already quarter to five in the morning. Alma would pick her up at around half past six. She still has time to prepare their breakfast before they start the day. After taking a quick shower, she wore her oversized shirt and undies so she could prepare breakfast. She cooked fried rice partnered with hotdogs, eggs, and bacon. For the beverages, her milk will never be out of the equation.Just when Amanda had wrapped up everything and the table was already set, she heard someone knocking the front door.Since that day, she thought she had developed some kind of trauma when someone knocked on the door. Amanda bought a door viewer and asked someone from her neighbors to put it up on her door. It added a sense of security for her. She had the option to buy CCTV cameras for better surveillance but she opted for a simple viewer.Amanda dry her hands with a clean towel before
Amanda was thinking it through. She would not want to associate herself with the CEO on her first day of work. Many could make a misunderstanding about it. It could lead to unnecessary rumour that she only got the jobs since she had the connections inside. And with the CEO?If only they knew what had happened? She meant even before the interview process.Yet even if she wanted to decline, she couldn’t possibly make him wait in the open. Again, anyone would think that she was too mighty to refuse such an offer from a man who drives a luxury car. Either way, she’ll be put in a bad position, so better take the route that will let her get home as soon as possible. With a heavy sigh, she opened the door and hopped inside his car.Maybe it was a bad decision after all. Amanda should have taken the taxi instead. Now that she's within his parameters, she couldn't help but get suffocated. His sheer presence alone in this confined space had that capacity to do so.Since their last encounter, Am
Keith had visited his grandfather that morning in the hospital. Don Kennedy was sent to the hospital when he lost consciousness at the mansion but now, his grandfather was in stable condition. His old man had to rest for sometime until the doctors could allow him to get discharged. For the meantime, he’s spending his day and night in one of the private rooms in the hospital.Even when recovering, his old man never failed to remind him about the contract. That if he ever wished to stay in the CEO position, he had to rebuke the divorce. Keith already told Don Kennedy that he already did the necessary papers for that. And the cancellation request was already approved by the judge himself. Proof was the letter sent to him by his personal lawyer corresponding to his appeal. It was only yesterday when Keith read the letter. He believed that the court also issued another response letter to Amanda. He smiled at the thought of what would be her reaction. He could only tell that his still wife
