Rem's Point of View

"Hey, how are you?" I asked on the phone.

After an hour, it completely recharged my phone's battery. I didn't waste any time and dialed Celes' number immediately; she picked up the phone immediately, so I'm talking to her now.

She remarked, "It's fine, I guess. It's just dull because you're not there,"

It took everything I had not to grin at what she said. My chest is hard, and I can't stop the pounding in my heart. I took a moment to gather my thoughts before attempting to speak.

Don't jump to conclusions, Len. It's dull because no one is cracking stupid jokes, and all of our other buddies are preoccupied, so there's no gimmick going on.

I laughed as I said, "Stop making excuses, Celes. I know you like me."

She didn't say a word but managed to fake a laugh, like a piece of music playing in my head. Right now, I'm humming to myself while I lie in bed. I am lying on my side with the phone placed over my ear. I waited with my arms crossed for her to say something while I listened intently.

"How are you there? I'm sure you had a wonderful time because you're always happy no matter where you go," she questioned. "I'm sure you had a fantastic time because you're always cheerful."

"You are right. I do enjoy the activities here; nevertheless, earlier, something occurred, which resulted in our being stranded," I said.

A very faint rustling could be heard when she shifted her seat. "Why, what happened?" she asks in a voice that shows concern.

I acted as if nothing had happened when I said, "There was a storm earlier, and then there was a tornado near us,"

She blurted out, "Tornado?!"

"Why does it appear like you don't care? Was there anyone who got hurt? Are you sure everything is okay?" She questioned, showing concern.

"Don't get worked up over nothing. Do you think I'm here calling you if something happens to us? Where is Celes? Bring back my friend," putting on the pretense of having doubts about her characteristics. We joke normally.

"Tsk. When you return to your house, our friendship will be over." She made a croaking sound.

"I'm just kidding. I'm excellent. Because the tornado dissipated so quickly, we are not in danger." What I stated earlier is now retracted.

"Yeah, yeah. Goodbye." The "end" button was pressed by her.

I'm bored. When Celes is anxious, she hates it when people make fun of her, but I find it quite amusing to annoy her.

I took the phone out of my ear and put it away. After placing it on the mattress, I tucked it under the pillow. I exited the room, and it was already time for lunch for all of us. I got up and made my way to the kitchen. When I got there, I saw several other students seated and eating. We didn't dine here at the same time, or we didn't wait. I moved closer to the table containing the food. I now possess a plate. Before grabbing and placing the food on the dish, I gave it a quick glance over first. After that, I made my way to the dining table and occupied the chair that had been left vacant. I got began chewing my food. All of their dishes are mouthwatering.

The atmosphere in the kitchen is chilly today, and things are more complex than they have been in recent days. I just kept eating, and I didn't even give the varying temperatures in the room any thought at all.

"Is he attracted to Samantha? He has been trying to contact her for some time now." Voices are coming from behind me.

"Yes, but what's so awesome about that weirdo?" One said.

Samatha?

Oh, that young lady with the tornado eyes. Where exactly is she? What exactly do they mean when they say they know someone who likes her? Because I am nosy, I looked to the left and peered up. They are all focusing their attention on me. Do I have a speck of dirt on my nose? After looking to the left, I could figure out what they were discussing.

Samantha is sitting right next to me. It was eating in complete silence by my side. I was completely unaware that she was literally sitting next to me. I had just finished looking for empty seats earlier.

I keep finding myself drawn to her like a magnet, so I cannot tear my gaze away from her. I followed her every move with my eyes while she ate her meal until she sipped her strawberry juice.

She faced me as she did so. It seemed like I had been transported to another dimension; the world around us had gone completely dark, and the two of us were the only ones left. When I looked down, my eyes rested on her lips, which appeared to have been kissed. The strawberry juice left a tint, making it even more similar to her natural complexion. I inched closer to her till the distance between our faces was only a few millimeters.

"Rem?" Someone touched their hand against my shoulder.

Everything has returned to its normal state. I answered, confused, "Why?" He gave me a stern expression as he gazed at me.

He was taken aback and questioned in astonishment, "What are you doing?"

It wasn't until then that my consciousness returned to my body and senses. Jake is the one who is sitting in the seat to my right. I looked back to see the girl sitting next to me earlier. She is not present in the kitchen at this time.

"Why, what have I gotten myself into?" I asked him again.

"You didn't specify that you wanted me rather than Celes, bro. I really wish you'd stated your position right away. I will hand it up to you." He mocked me by speaking in a gay tone of voice.

"What?" When I asked him about it, I was even more perplexed.

What did I do earlier? I had barely finished eating when I developed an interest in what the individuals sitting behind me were discussing. Before Jake called me, I had been glancing at Samantha earlier in the day.

"I think you want to kiss me, bro," he said while laughing. "Because you're bringing your face closer to mine, I think you want to kiss me."

I couldn't help but giggle to myself. As soon as I heard it, I instinctively drank some water. Fuck. Did I just do that to myself? After I turned to look around, I saw that everyone was laughing at what Jake had said. It's possible that they did as well. I cast a cursory glance once again toward the meal.

I was curious, so I said, "Have you been there before?"

"Yes," was the response he gave.

Because I didn't want to embarrass myself, I ate very quickly. When eating, I deposited what I had consumed in the pile of soiled dishes. I had a distinct impression that they were still watching me, so I left the kitchen and pretended nothing had happened.

I made it to the resthouse and sat down on the balcony. I took the lone vacant seat in the car. The events that took place inside are still unclear to me. Because I was so transfixed in those eyes, I was completely unaware that Samantha had vanished before me without noticing.

A voice in my ears said, "You are committing a sin."

I was the sole person sitting there; no one else was seated outdoors. Who spoke? Should you believe me? How?

Someone else murmured, "Stop it. Stop thinking or feeling whatever it is you think or feel."

Another person was hushed. Since I don't engage in wrongdoing, I don't see how I could sin.

"Forget my name," someone said behind me.

After a moment of disbelief, I turned around. I asked Samantha again, "What did you say?"

"I can't believe you're familiar with me." She just gazed straight ahead.

I gave her a stern look as I glanced at her. "I don't know what you're talking about, and I don't comprehend what you're saying." I will inquire about it.

The absence of conversation was the only thing that could be heard from either of us. After she failed to respond, I simply looked forward instead of waiting for her to do so. To alleviate the discomfort caused by our awkward position, I leaned back against the chair's backrest, put one arm on the left, and crossed my legs.

"I just have a question?" I remarked without turning to look at her.

"Why are you cold?"

"Because I'm cold," was the reason she gave. It lacked feeling, and it seemed like they were being coerced into responding to my inquiry.

I respond with a mocking laugh and the statement, "You, too, are funny." I am conscious not to stare at her because what occurred earlier can occur again. Despite this, I couldn't help but glance at her since I couldn't help but be intrigued.

She cautioned me not to look, but I was powerless to avoid doing so.

I was unaware that he was also searching for something. When our eyes connected, I was reminded of how I felt when we initially made eye contact. It's not right that I'm feeling this way. They take me into the depths of his will and consume me completely. It was odd, and I could hear people whispering in the distance. All of the neighboring areas were shrouded in darkness. In this enormous space, I am by myself. When I turned my head, all I could see was pitch dark. Alterations are coming about in a short time.

As usual, I need to catch up on my schedule.

I enter the hallway and look around. I'm looking around to see if any other kids are also late. I made my way through each and every classroom. Each of these things has its own instructors. I had had enough of Ms. De Lion. I picked up the pace of my walking. The only thing I'm doing right now is walking so that I may get to the room as soon as possible. However, as I look around my room. Someone was standing outside of our room, and I saw them. She is fresh to us. Not a recognizable face. Donning the uniform of our strand. Transferee? When we are around halfway through the first semester? It is to everyone's benefit that she was accepted.

I noticed that I needed to slow down as I approached the front door. Exhale. Inhale. As a result of what I had done, I felt exhausted. I looked across at the lady sitting next to me. She has been at this location for some time. I'd like to know if he'll come in or just stand around until he goes home. Should I inquire with her? If I talk to her, I'll be much later than I already am. However, I can use her as an excuse.

How are you doing, Transferee? Unexpectedly drawing near to her. Before turning her attention to me, she moved about a little bit in her position.

Her expression gives the impression that she is stunned. She was taken aback to discover that there were still students in the area. I grinned awkwardly. After she had recovered from the shock, she gave a slight nod and smiled warmly. When she smiles, she has the appearance of a barbie doll. Because our outfit was tailored to her body and she was a few inches taller than I was, she had the formation of an FA. Go with her long, dark hair pulled back into a high ponytail. Her hair is long enough that it reaches her buttocks.

After I observed her. I knocked on the door and waited. The door was opened by Ms. D.

I spoke out before he could yell at me further.

"Have we been assigned a transferee, Ms. D? Because I witnessed her getting disoriented on the other strand earlier. I am sorry that I am late to meet you." I gave the Transferee a wink and a sideways glance before continuing. Simply spend some time with Ms. Transferee.

"Okay. Please make yourself comfortable in the appropriate seat, Mr. Millsickering, and then introduce yourself to the group at the front." He instructed the young lady.

My eyes were surrounded by pitch blackness. My eyes have been obscured by a kind and icy touch.

"What the heck happened?" I inquired, feeling bewildered. The exact same event transpired once more. What's going on now is completely beyond my comprehension.

"You'll forget my name. You won't remember anything that you see. You'll forget me."
