We had no more time to waste. My emotional breakdown was over. It was time to dig into the matter. Marcus and Mason had secured Alen for questioning, and Mason wanted to do the torturing. We knew we were going to kill him after we had squeezed all the information we could out of him, but there was no need to tell him that. We just wanted the pack wars and the drug epidemic to end. It was crucial for the survival of the werewolf race.

I went to check on my father and Ginger while Marcus and Mason went to question Allen. Marcus wanted me away from the mess, and Mason agreed to it. It was best I stayed away for now. They did not want me to hear anything that would make me break down again. I agreed with them without arguing, and Marcus noticed that the pregnancy had made me emotional because I used to be tougher with my emotions than I was now.
