Everything seemed blurry at first, then everything became clear. I remembered what happened, and I wondered why Mason was so scared. I moved my head and saw Mason and Marcus sitting on chairs in the room. I was so happy to see Marcus that I wanted to get up. The moment I attempted it, I felt pain.

"Stay down, Gwen," Mason said, and Marcus ran to my side. He held my hand and kissed it several times with tears in his eyes. Then he kissed my forehead and gently kissed my lips.

"Stay down," Marcus said gently, and I tried to speak, but my throat felt dry.

"Bring her water," Marcus said, and Mason left to get water from me. He returned with a glass and a straw from me to sip.

"What happened?" I managed after lubricating my mouth and throat with the water, and Mason left the room to give me and Marcus space.

"You were injured, babe," Marcus said, " And we almost lost the baby," he said, and I began to fret.

"Calm down," he said, gently holding me down. "Doctor said you will be
