I dreaded at the thought of being in the same room and breathing the same air with my stalker. I was more alert and conscious whenever Josh was there. I wasn't exactly sure he was the one stalking me, but he sounded very much like him when we were both in the kitchen.
I rubbed my wrist and sat on the empty couch with my eyes directed to the TV. I watched Josh from the corners of my eyes and saw he was having a conversation with Tristan. He occasionally glanced up at me before averting his gaze quickly so as not to make Tristan alarmed.
"The bread is ready." Maya sang, making her way with a plastic tray of bread sliced into four big parts.
The scent of the bread wafted into my nose and made my taste buds yearn for it. I drooled mentally and could already taste the wonders of what we baked.

The door flung open and a familiar set of bulgy eyes that flashed with anger was directed to my mother. Mother froze with her hands still glued to the sides of my shoulders.Hailey's chest heaved as she stared like a bull, getting ready to get the red cloth. She marched into the room and pulled up close when she was close to my mother and I. Mother released me and faced my father's wife to be."You!" She exclaimed, pointing a manicured index finger at her. "What the hell have you been doing with my husband?!"Husband? What the hell was-oh, she probably found the skeleton in dad's cupboard.Mother was mute–she pursed her lips and stared at Hailey with dead eyes."Answer
I was dazed. I stared dumbstruck at him and thoughts whirled around in my head. What exactly was Tristan talking about?"What did I do?" I asked, certain Lola had told him I did something I didn't do."You know what you did, Jade. I never saw you as someone so uncool till I heard this. That's the reason I don't believe what you said about Lola." He explained and I was shocked.I was taken aback by what he had just uttered from those perfect lips of his. Even with a swollen face that made it known to the world that he had just woken up from sleep, he was still very good looking."Oh, so you believe Lola more than the person that is supposed to be your girlfriend, yeah?" My anger was poked it and it didn't hesitate to snap.
Lola's chest heaved and so did mine. Never in my life had I ever thought I'd fight with a girl over some dumb man.She drilled holes into my forehead with her eyes and I didn't hesitate to return the look of distaste. We were on the verge of unfolding the veil that covered the person that sold Tristan off before Lola came in, ranting about stuffs I couldn't understand. There was a bruise on her cheek–courtesy, Jade Parker."What is happening between your mother and my sister?" Lola stormed into Tristan's house and I stared abash at the little miss Grinch. "Speak to me, dumbo."Lola snapped her nails that were coated in black nail polish at my face. I moved back a bit, squinting in case she wanted to act mad by poking a finger in my eye. Tristan and Josh stared at her, brows creased with a frown as wrinkles of confusion crawled up their foreheads.
"Fire!" Maya exclaimed. With sleep still laced in my eyes, I began to run in circles in search for safety. I ran past mother on the couch and made it for the door. The minute I stepped out of the house and banged the door, there was a loud gong in my head. Was it mother that I just passed?I frowned then held a hand to my chest. The house wasn't burning when I ran down the stairs. Our smoke detector didn't go off, so what the hell was Maya up to?With wrinkles on my forehead, I lazily pulled open the door and went straight to check my calendar. Tracing a finger on the paying and stopping on today's date, I confirmed that it wasn't my birthday.Grumpily, I made my way to the couch and stared at my mother. I blinked rapidly and tried to analyze what was going on."Mom?" I called, but there was no reply.Mother was dressed in a black gown and she sat stiff, e
We locked gazes and the corners of his lips twitched into a smirk. With the roll of my eyes, I averted my gaze to a much important person–Cameron. He smiled and the crinkles on the sides of his eyes made it obvious that he was genuinely happy. He stared around the living room with a smile that could not be contained. I made my way to where he was and hugged him, squeezing him a little."Someone missed me." He wriggled his brows and I hissed, playfully shoving his head back a bit."Baby!" Maya exclaimed, hugging her boyfriend so tight it made me yearn for mine.Speaking of my boyfriend, where was he?I turned and scanned the place for my boyfriend then spotted him
Tristan grinned evilly before he plastered his lips on mine. He locked my bottom lip with his lips and vice versa. Tristan's hands went all over my body and when the image of him and the so called Lola flashed in my head, I pulled out."What's wrong?" He asked when I refused to put my head on his."Nothing." I lied, walking away from the bed to view my beautiful self in front of the mirror."C'mon, babe. Talk to me, please." He took baby steps to where I was and wrapped both hands around my waist.Shrugging it off, I replied, "I'm okay, there's nothing wrong with me."Tristan groaned and pinched the bridge of his nose as he wakes back and forth in my room.
Maya and I glanced at each other before pushing back our heads and barking out a loud laughter from the back of my throat. Tristan and Josh made their way down the stairs and I smiled at Tris. Even with sleepy eyes, he looked sumptuous and absolutely handsome.Josh on the other hand was shirtless. His hair was messy, but it didn't tickle my fancy even for a little bit. He had on black shorts and his muscles flexed with every step he took."Why didn't you just walk in naked?" I muttered and he caught my gaze."Because I know y'all wouldn't be able to stand it." He smirked and winked."Because you'll be too disgusting to look at." I hissed and dusted the couch with a rag. "Good morning, baby. How was your night?" I directed the questio
I glared crossly at her and took my seat–my appetite was gone. I didn't like her one bit and I wanted her out of my house.I took my plates to the kitchen and dumped it in the dish washer before walking back to the living room."What's wrong with your face?" Josh directed the question to me and I puckered my forehead at him."None of your business, dimwit." I snapped and plopped down on the couch next to Maya.Tristan and Cameron sat together and talked about boy things, while I was having a glare battle with Josh. Lola occasionally flirted with him."Who's in for some nasty truth or dare?" Josh asked, glancing at our faces. "Or should we play deadly dare or dare?
