Chapter 06- Imprisoned

Bumalik ang tingin ko sa mga taong natatawa habang may hawak na pera. Dalawang bata na ang hawak nila.

I can’t let him out, I don’t know how to control him, baka pati ang mga inosenteng tao masaktan ko, I can’t let that happen. Good thing nakiki-ayon ang ability ko at hindi nagp-pumiglas lumabas.

“Tyler! Jusko! Tulungan ninyo ang anak ko!” Nagpa-panic na sigaw ng ginang na nasa kaliwa ko.

“A-Ah! M-Ma..” The child was already gasping for air.

I placed my hands mid-air and made my ability flow into it. I controlled it to be as thin and sharp as possible, aiming it at the driver’s neck.

“AHH!” I passed my ability onto him. What can my ability do to a person?

I ran towards the 6 men. Kicked the guy who was holding a girl, then took her.

“M-M-Ma!” It was crying loudly.

I hugged her, “You’re okay now, stay here, hmm?”

I placed her on a bench nearby.

The second child was on the ground. Sh*t.

I looked at the child who is currently unconscious and is being kicked by the driver, you assh*le.

Then I can’t hold out for too long.

“Alright, I got a plan.” I whispered to myself. First, rescue the child, then hope for back-up, kung wala man, retreat with the kids.

I know for a fact that I can’t handle fighting like this yet, especially now that I can’t get a hold of this ability.

“Release.” The 4 men started to move.

Ramdam kong may tatama sa ‘kin kaya itinulak ko ‘yung guard at ihinarang ang sarili ko sa hawak kong bata.

Pero wala akong naramdamang sakit.

I can’t see him clearly, my eyes was getting blurry.

Feeling ko magko-collapse na ‘ko.

I took that chance to escape. Nakita ko rin na nagdadatingan na ‘yung mga taong ine-expect kong dumating kanina pa.

‘THE HEROES ‘

Hinayaan ko na silang gawin ang dapat nilang gawin at umalis na do’n na nanghihina.

“Shh, everything’s okay. You’re safe now. I’ll let your cuts and broken leg be treated, okay? We’re almost at the exit.” I said, comforting the child I’m holding.

We reached the exit, pumunta agad ako sa rescue team para ipagamot ‘yung bata, nakita ko rin ‘yung Tyler ba ‘yon? Basta ‘yung lalaki kanina na tinulungan ko.

After ko ibaba ro’n ‘yung bata, I started to look for Lola.

“Damn.” Mura ko matapos makaramdam ng matinding pagsakit ng ulo. My vision became blurry, so as my hearing.

I stumbled upon someone, I looked up and happen to see that person’s face, “Lolo..” and collapsed.

I overdid myself.

“You should’ve let me took over.” Someone said.

I’m in a dark place, parang outer space pero kakaunti ang stars, and may fog din. “Who are you?”

I heard him laugh, “What? You can’t remember me now?”

That voice. ‘Yan ‘yung boses na naririnig ko kanina.

I almost jumped when someone touched my shoulder. “Aah, you’re truly annoying, don’t you know that?” A husky voice of a man whispered through my ear giving me chills.

“The f*ck? Sino ka ba? And nasaan ako?” Naiinis kong sabi sabay lingon sa kanya.

But I was dumbfounded when I saw his face, it’s blurry.

“I see, you still don’t trust nor accept me. Just by looking at you, my face is blurred, right?”

Huh? Masyado bang halata sa mukha ko na gano’n ang nakita ko?

“You didn’t answer my questions.” I coldly uttered.

I felt his finger suddenly poking my cheek, what the hell? This guy’s nuts!

“Same old you.” He took a bunch of strands of my hair and smelled it.

I somehow feel comfortable here with him though. What’s wrong with me?

“You’re basically here, at my domain. You might not know what a domain is. Pero id-discuss ‘yan sa inyo ‘pag pumasok ka na sa Academy.”

“Teka- Pa-paano mo nal-“

I stopped talking when I saw he’s slowly turning into a dust, “Ah- I guess time’s up? Ang bilis mo naman magising.” He took my hand and kissed the back of my palm, “Anyways, I’ll always be here. We’ll meet again, and I can’t wait for that time. Simiu, romaim, Lithro wi tihm caen.”

I gasped for air pagka-dilat na pagka-dilat ng mata ko. It was like having a long trip.

“Ilang araw po ba ‘kong tulog?”

“Wala pang araw, apo. 5 hours palang. Ay siya, kumain ka muna, baka gutom ka na.” Lola said. Dalawang araw akong tulog? Grabe ba ang tama sa ‘kin nung nangyari?

May dalang pagkain si lola, lugaw, my favorite.

Nung una’y nag-insist si lola na subuan ako, pero sabi ko kaya ko na.

I actually feel light-headed and parang ‘di nabugbog ang katawan, magaling siguro ‘yung nag-alaga sa ‘king nurse at doctor.

I finished eating, pinunasan ni lola ang mukha ko ng basang towel.

May biglang nag-bukas ng pintuan.

“Vexyiana Natasha R. Olivian, ikaw ay may pagkakasalang nagawa na labag sa batas. Under the 3421 of Mironian’s Law.” While putting me on handcuffs.

“Totoo bang parte ka ng organisasyong ‘yon?”

“Ano ang pinaplano ninyong hakbang?”

“Hayop ‘yang babaeng ‘yan! Ikulong niyo!”

I was shocked when those were the words I heard.

After putting my life on the line to prevent hose douchebags from attacking, this is what I get in return?
