Chapter 740

It took Yara some time to hail a cab to take her back to Yandell Residence. By the time she arrived, dawn had yet to fully break.

The house was unusually quiet. Except for the security guards, the housekeepers were still asleep.

Yara entered the house alone, using her fingerprint to unlock the door. As she headed toward the master bedroom to look for Lawrence, she overheard a woman's voice coming from his room.

"Mr. Yandell, what are you doing up so early? You're so naughty."

The sound of the woman's sultry voice hit Yara like a bolt of lightning.

"Mr. Yandell, is it true your wife has cancer and doesn't have much time left?" the woman asked.

"Yes. If it weren't for her late-stage cancer, do you think I'd have brought you home?" Lawrence replied.

Yara couldn't believe what she was hearing.

Lawrence was her first love, the man she had given everything to. She'd even sacrificed all of the Snyder family's assets for him. And now, in her darkest moment, he was betraying her.
