Hidden meaning

Before Mr. Sylvester could respond to Alice, a sultry and annoying voice was heard...

"You better don't!".

"Shut it, Veronica! You don't have any right to tell her such", Mr. Sylvester said with so much anger in his voice which made Veronica shiver. She had never seen him so angry before. The thought of Alice being the cause of this made her very displeased and she secretly glared at her.

This time, Alice wasn't oblivious to the glare Veronica threw at her. What made her confused was the purpose of Veronica glaring at her. She had done nothing to make her angry or jealous. Not wanting to cause trouble, Alice bowed her head before thanking Mr. Sylvester and Justin.

"Thank you! Thank you!" , She said enthusiastically.

"Get out", Alice heard and the smile was immediately wiped off her face. In shock, she raised her head and for the first time, directly stared at Justin who had a murderous look on his face. Alice stood rooted to her spot and still couldn't comprehend what she heard.

"Are you deaf? I said get out", Justin yelled once again making Angela fall to like a weakling. Energy appeared to be drained put of her legs.

Meanwhile Veronica could be seen smiling victoriously while making faces at Alice. Neither Alice nor Justin saw her do it but Mr. Sylvester saw her clearly which made him clench his teeth in anger.

'I would have disposed of you long ago if not because of the warning I received. Thank your stars I haven't found another solution ', Mr. Sylvester mumbled as he looked at Alice with pity filled eyes.

"Dear, you may leave now but you should come to work as from Monday", he said, making Alice snap out of her state. She weakly got up with tears streaming down her face.

At the sight of Alice's pitiful appearance, Justin's wolf whimpered but Justin was too angry to notice this.

In slow steps, Alice walked into the elevator still wiping her tears. Her wolf also howled in sorrow due to the attitude of their mate towards them.

In Justin's office...

"Dad...you should go too", Justin said calmly with his eyes glued on the paper on his mahogany table. To others, it may seem like he was reading a project but Mr. Sylvester and Veronica knew he was just too angry and he didn't want to use his anger on his father.

Being the understanding father he is, Mr. Sylvester readily agreed.

"Alright son, take care. Don't be manipulated", He said with hidden meaning behind his last words.

Justin was not foolish not to catch unto it. He only hummed in acknowledgment and kept rubbing his forehead with his palms.

Mr. Sylvester had just walked into the elevator when Justin's secretary suddenly burst into his office making the Veronica angry. She was on the verge of locking her lips together with Justin's but the secretary just had to arrive at the wrong time.

"Don't you know how to knock?", Veronica yelled.

Note: Alice's job is to be a personal secretary. So, Justin has two secretaries.
