"Don't you know how to knock?", Veronica yelled.

"I'm sorry", the secretary replied with no ounce of remorse but was instead staring at Justin like a piece of meat waiting to be eaten.

"Chloe, you really should learn to start announcing your presence before barging into my office. Now, what brought you here?", Justin asked with clenched teeth. Judging from his facial expression, one could clearly see that he was very angry. ' how could someone spoil his romantic moment with his fiance'.

"Sir, I brought these papers for you to sign", Chloe said, smiling brightly at Justin, totally treating Veronica like air.

"Sure, leave them on my table and see yourself out", Justin commanded. With clenched fists, Chloe walked out.

Meanwhile as Alice walked out of the company, tears kept streaming down her face. The more she tried to stop her sobs, the more it grew.

Passersby stared at Alice. Some pitied the damsel in distress while others felt disgusted. Alice was quietly walking by the side of the road when she heard the honking of a car.

She turned back and there he was, in his full glory, sitting in his red expensive car. Alice was sure he had began to Garner a lot of attention. Sure enough, when she looked around, passersby had gathered aroun, staring at the car in awe.

"Hey baby, will you come in or keep staring?", The young man asked winding down the window of where he sat, which was none other than the driver's seat.

After he had wound down the window, people gasped but Alice rolled her eyes and scoffed. She was very well aware that are best friend was handsome and she was tired of his looks. Moreover, he was not as handsome as her m... Thinking back to Justin once again, Alice held back her tears and immediately pushed through the crowd that had formed a circle around her best friend, David.

"Let me through", Alice said and finally got away from the crowd. She immediately opened the car door and sat beside David, who was sitting, looking relaxed, not minding the commotion he had caused.

"I hope you're enjoying yourself very much", Alice grumbled. Sarcasm could be very well detected in her words.

"Well, you can't blame me, can you? I'm just so handsome to not be seen", her shameless best friend smirked and zoomed off, specks of dust covering the crowd behind.

Alice scoffed and turned to admire the scenarios outside. She couldn't be bothered by her shameless friend.

"So, where should we go?", David asked, making Alice snap out of her thoughts.

"I don't know. Anywhere but an expensive restaurant of suite", Alice immediately added the last sentence cause she knew David was a wonderful spender.

"Awww, baby, what got into your pants?" David asked with a raised eyebrow while grinning broadly.

"Ha!, Lest I forget, I've gotten a job", Alice smiled while masking her sadness of how she was treated by Justin.

"Really!", David squealed which made Alice wonder again whether he was a man.
