After spending about an hour plus working, she finally came out of her study room due to a call from the madam, her’ mother,’ Elizabeth Greeley, to confirm she didn’t make any plans later in the day and warned her to make sure she attends.

Jade Greeley went into her room to take a quick bath. After bathing, she went to her walk-in-closet to get ready for work.

She wore a neat, tailored black suit with a simple white top, and her waist-long black hair was rolled in a neat bun. She topped her outfit with brass teardrop sterling earrings and elegant black heeled shoes.

She applied a minimalistic translucent lip gloss. She has never been one to wear heavy makeup or jewellery.

Jade Greeley has also never been a fan of bright colours. She always tends to choose the darker shades of any colour when it comes to her clothes. Though her beauty cannot be masked even if she was clothed in rags or dull coloured clothes, she could only become more breath-taking with brighter hues of fashion.

She also had a deep dislike for the colour green as they were a reminder of the colour of her unique Jade green-hued eyes. It made her feel like an outsider in her family as no other person in her family had a green set of eyes like hers. For some reason, she felt that was why she was casted aside by her parents and was always blamed whenever something went wrong. With the way she was treated, sometimes she even wondered if she was really their daughter.

So, she mostly wears a pair of brown contact lenses just so that she could hide the original colour of her eyes.

Jade Greeley was always an epitome of simplicity. However, most people would praise her as an elegant and peerless beauty even without donning makeup and excessive jewellery pieces.

Though she is regarded as a peerless beauty by most, she is often described as a person with a wooden expression. Which led her to be called the ‘Wooden Beauty of the Business World’. Some even refer to her as a ‘Wooden Princess’, because her face is devoid of emotions, especially when she talks business, and it is very difficult to read her.

Most people who often interact with her always say that her most expressive expression is her in-genuine lopsided smiles, which are sometimes so dreadful they wished she never showed it.

She went to work earlier than her usual work time today because Jade Greeley had to finish up some work before her meeting and the banquet (her engagement party) later.

After spending some time in her office, when it was approaching the time for the meeting with ZChain Corporation representatives, she left for the venue with her assistant, Meg Chu, and her team of lawyers, as they set off to sign the contract with ZChain Corporation.

The meeting was a lunch meeting to be held at one of the famous restaurants owned by ZChain Corporation, Ze Restaurant.

When Jade Greeley and her team arrived at the venue for the meeting, they were ushered to the already booked private room.

As Jade Greeley entered the room, she started analysing each person in the room in her business-like manner. Jade Greeley saw a man in his fifties seated whom she recognized as the Chairman of ZChain Corporation, President Zander. Beside him was another man of similar age seated and beside him another who seemed to be in his forties. A young man could be seen sitting in another corner of the room, who stood up to acknowledge her arrival.

Jade Greeley gave her heartfelt apology as soon as she stepped into the room, “I apologise for keeping you waiting, President Zander. I believe your day has been splendid.”

Though she wasn’t really late as she arrived at the private room at precisely 2 pm. She hurried in her steps towards the table where the men were seated and took a seat opposite them.

President Zander replied while chortling, “Not a problem, Miss Greeley. I only arrived before the stipulated time. I’m sure it’s been quite busy for you, especially with the announcement of your latest achievement, and I also heard that congratulations are in order.”

The achievement he spoke of was of signing a business deal with a mysterious international company, Star Group. It was said that even the Chairman and CEO of the company has remained a mystery to the world like he or she did not want to be found. Even after lurking outside one of Star Group subsidiaries and poaching some of the company's employees, the paparazzi could still not tell who the Chairman of the company was.
