Chapter 20 The Night Journey

Celestine grinned and pulled her feet out from the water. She turned around to Ersa.

“It’s chilling.” She decided to stay aside from the brook water. She put on again her shoes and saw Ersa was giggling when Storm sprinkled the water to her using his forelegs.

“Storm, stop it. You make me wet already.” Ersa complained but the horse seemed neighing as he chuckled.

“It’s enough. We still have to continue our journey, everybody…” Celestine filled their water buckets with the water from a spring near, under a big tree.

Ersa patted the horse’s neck. “Drink some water. You are going to need it.” She whispered in the horse’s ear.

Storm kicked off in the water and wiggled his head. He seemed to agree with Ersa.

Celestine finished to fulfill the water buckets and watched the two of them.

While they let Storm grassing around the brook, they had some cookies and boiled eggs to enjoy as their lunch.

“How long will it take there?” Ersa looked at Celestine, stopped munching the butter cooki
