Chapter 24 A New Day

Chirping birds on some branches woke Celestine and Ersa.

The day had shifted, the night with horrific tranquility and voices from the woods nearby had gone.

The sun penetrated among the shady trees and warm the day from a chilling night before.

Celestine and Ersa were taking a walk into the woods. They brought Storm with them to let the horse finding some green fresh grass.

Ersa picked up some wild flowers, she also searched for some edible mushrooms or bulbs.

Celestine went to river, getting a bucket of fresh water and some fish.

“We got enough stocks of food for couple days ahead.” Celestine showed Ersa some fish she had caught.

“I also got some bulbs and mushrooms. We can eat soup for our lunch.” Ersa showed her the basket she put on the ground.

They saw an apple tree not too far. Ersa was helped by Celestine were picking up some falling apples on the ground.
