After listening to Geneva they were completely devastated. She didn’t describe the gore in detail but her tears were enough to express the torment the couple went through. She went towards the kitchen wiping her tears and a short discussion began behind her back.
"Leo, didn't you say the couple was still alive?" Adi asked, lowering her voice so that Geneva couldn't hear her.
"I still say they might be alive." Leo whispered.
"Whom did the Dark Lord kill?" Vivi asked.
"Maybe it was another couple and the Dark Lord faked the death of the couple." Alex gave his opinion.
"Why would he want people to believe that the couple died?" Leo murmured.
Geneva entered and saw the people lean forward whispering something. She looked at them curiously. Not knowing what to do she cleared her throat to get their attention.
They straightened themselves as soon as they saw Geneva watching them.

Silence was frightening. All the eyes in the hall were on the Dark Lord waiting for him to speak for the first time in front of the gathering. The Dark Lord stared at each and every face in the hall with his hawk-like eyes.Adi shuddered as the Dark Lord's eyes glanced at her with an intense gaze. She quickly held on to Leo's arm. Leo titled his head to look at the anxious eyes of Adi staring at the Dark Lord, trembling. He put his arm around her and tried to calm her.The Dark Lord cleared his throat and said, “You all want to know the reason behind the occasion, eh?” He stared at the curious faces of peasants and elites in front of him with the same intensity.“HAHAHA,” He let out an evil laugh making commoners shiver and continued, ”Very soon your lord, I, will be most powerful and will conquer death. Isn’t this a good reason to celebrate?” He laughed again.“Hail to the Dark Lord!” Someone in the c
"Wait. You mean he knew about us?" Alex said surprisingly."I think so." Leo said, staring blankly at the floor, contemplating the events that happened today."You mean he recognized us?" Adi asked."Mhm" Leo nodded."The Dark Lord recognized us but he still didn't kill us when he had the best opportunity.'' Vivi wondered."I wonder that either." Leo muttered.Coming back to their place, after a long awfully silent journey, Adi asked Leo about his strange behavior in the castle. Leo narrated to them about his uneasy feeling of being watched."I felt some intense gaze, like, we were being watched after the Dark Lord went back. That was making it hard to breathe and blurred my mind. Wasn't able to figure out the source of that intense gaze, but I am sure that there was someone who was keeping an eye on us." Leo sighed and continued, "He knows who we are." He said quietly which caught everyone's attention.Their eyes w
In the complete darkness, a young lady sleeps soundlessly near her soulmate, embracing him like a new couple does. Even in the winter winds, her forehead was covered with blisters of sweat.Being uneasy, she woke up and found herself thirsty. Unable to sleep back by holding her thirst she decided to wake up and have water. Adi softly took Leo's hand, embracing her, and kept it aside slowly not wanting to wake him up.She found the container of water empty and decided to go to the kitchen. Thankfully, the mud container was filled with water. She searched for a small glass to dip inside the mud container. She found a small glass kept in the corner of a wooden rack, and she moved towards it. As she was about to pick the glass she heard a noise from the hall.Noise grew louder and louder. It was the sound of footsteps. From the noise it was clear that it was moving all around the hall as if the person was searching for something. This
"Hmm.." Alex shook his leg impatiently waiting for a public carriage to arrive. "Why are you so impatient Alex? It's been only ten minutes since we arrived here." Vivi said, folding her arms, looking sternly at him. "Exactly the reason to be impatient. It's been ten minutes. You know right what and all we can do in ten minutes. The world can be upside down in ten minutes…" and he continued his blabbering for a while. "I sometimes wonder why I agreed to let him accompany us." Leo murmured. "It's coming!" Adi said, pointing at a carriage. Alex stopped his blabbering as soon as the carriage came to his sight. "Finally!" He said and entered the carriage. The man with a thin mustache turned around and asked for their destination. "Limemore." Alex said. "Limemere" Leo corrected him. Man turned around and pulled the ropes tied around the horse. Carriage began moving slowly, picking up speed towards the village
In the middle of the dry, wood land, there was a small hut. It was surrounded by greenery. The grass was soft, flowers beamed in the sunlight, little butterflies flew from one flower to another being their messenger. Bees buzz attracted to the rainbow of flowers. The place was a meadow. One can assume it to be a mirage in the desert. It was strange how the whole village was a barren land including the forest, but this place was woody heaven.A woman came out of her hut and moved towards the barren area next to the grassy land. She bent down and touched the earth. She closed her eyes and moved her hand slowly over the land. Slowly the area surrounding her hand got covered with luscious grass."Unbelievable!" Alex exclaimed when he saw the barren land turning to a meadow."Indeed" Vivi agreed to him."That's amazing super power. Never seen something like this." Adi expressed her thoughts in whisper so that the woman can't hear them.
"Finally we found one elemental ability holder." Vivi said, as they traveled to Shadowpond in the carriage."Hope we find other four elemental ability holders soon." Adi hoped."Yes, hope for the best!" Vivi repeated."Well, we still don't have any clue what he is thinking." Alex said, mentioning the Dark Lord as him as it wasn't safe to take his name."We need to execute our plan as early as possible, before he tries to attack us." Vivi said."We still need to find the weapon and we have no clue about it." Leo pointed.Alex nodded in understanding."I was wondering what the weapon might be." Alex said, thinking about the weapon."Maybe a sword?" Adi guessed."Might be." Leo replied."It will look cool if it's something like a sword or a crossbow or scythe like a reaper." Alex said, being curious about it."Hope it's a weapon we know how to handle." Leo remarked.Soon they reached the entrance
"Miss Geysis?" Adi called her, knocking the door.Soon a pretty lady opened the door. She looked at the strangers in front of her. She had come to know about them from her neighbor. Both Geysis and Flaik had identical features. They both were around 25 years and had long auburn hairs. Geysis had an olive skin tone whereas Flaik was warm light brown in colour. Both had black, almond shaped eyes. Flaik was shorter than Geysis in height as it seems."I heard you all were looking for me. Please come inside." Geysis invited them.Entering the house, they saw the houses were in better condition here than Helenton. There wasn't much furniture in the house of commoners in Helenton, but here at least they were able to affo
"Adi, done with the packing?" Leo asked."Yes, I packed a few clothes and some edibles." Adi said pointing at the packed bag."Alright. Let us move out and check if Alex and Vivi are ready." Leo said, picking up the bag and moving out."Vivian!" Adi called.Soon Alex and Vivi came out of their room with their packed bags."Let us move out then!" Alex announced."Wait Alex, we forgot about Emily." Adi reminded them."Why do we need her there?" Alex frowned."Well, we can't leave her alone when we are out for so many days." Vivi replied."Indeed,"
"Adi, ready to leave?" Leo asked her standing outside their room waiting for her."Yes," came a reply from her as she exited the room."Let's meet the King before we leave," he proposed. Adi nodded and followed him. The weapon was securely placed in their bag, so there was nothing to worry about. As they exited the passage, they saw King standing there ordering something to Fredrick. Leo saw King smiling gently at them as they approached."Greetings my Majesty," they both greeted. The King nodded."We will take your leave, our Majesty. As we had informed earlier, we need to get to our mission," Leo said politely. The king nodded, understandingly and said, "I have a few things to discuss with you before you go."Leo looked at him confusingly, wondering what the King wanted to discuss. He didn't want to reveal their real identity to anyone as it might put them into serious trouble. The Ki
White castle was decorated with seasonal greenery, making it a heavenly beauty. It appeared like different colours were splattered on the white canvas in a particular design. It was well illuminated. Huge crowd had begun to gather to get a glance of Royal stone. Moreover, they came to see the brave couple who won the weapon."Leo, what will we wear?" Adi asked, looking at him."We should have brought the clothes yesterday when we were in the market," Leo sighed."Should we go quickly and get some clothes for us and Mick?" She proposed."Sounds like the only option,"They heard a knock on their door, which caught their attention."Yes?" Leo asked
Footsteps making a squeaky sound resonated in the dark passage. The smell of rusting iron bars mixed with blood flared Leo's nose. He looked into the empty cells. They were extremely dirty and had no ventilation either, making one feel nauseous. He frowned at the thought that the King had captivated Mick in these cells for a small crime he committed. He wasn't worried about Mick but it didn't feel right that he was suffering like this."Is Mick in one of these cells?" He snapped back from his thoughts hearing Adi's voice."No my Lady. These are punishing cells. The people who commit the brutal crimes are tortured here. Mr Mick is in the holding cell which is down another floor," The servant replied politely as he continued walking.Adi sighed in relief as she heard those words. She looked at Leo's face who too was now relaxed compared to a few moments ago."He is fine Leo,'' Adi whispered. It didn't feel right speaking
"HOW DARE YOU COME IN FRONT OF ME WITHOUT IT?" Chantal yelled at the two witches in front of her, making them shudder at her squeaky voice."S-sorry Master. W-we didn't know the guards were standing at the edge of the forest." One of the witches said, gulping."You came with the bad news." Chantal whispered. "NOW DIE!" She yelled, moving her hands in the air. Both the witches looked at her horror struck. Chantal set fire on them. Forest echoed with the agonizing cry of the both witches. They stood petrified screaming in pain, helpless.Chantal cursed under her breath, "You will be hunted human. You don't know whom you have a grudge against." She hissed and left the place, flying on her broomstick.*****Leo opened his eyes and found himself on bed, sleeping."ADI!" He screamed and sat straight."I am here Leo," Adi replied calmly, moving her hand above his head. Leo quickly pulled her into his arms and felt re
'Why is the Master so anxious about the thing in the trunk? I wonder what was there that even a mere human dared to enter the forest. Nevertheless, I have to find that man before the Master decides to kill us.' A witcher thought as he flew in the forest, looking for Leo. He wasn't bothered about neither the man nor the stolen thing. Fear made him search for Leo."There he is." The witcher said, looking at a man, carrying a woman on his shoulders."Okay Finn, time for some action." He said to himself and swept towards Leo.He was near Leo, when he heard a sound of two witches approaching the man. He stopped in his tracks and looked at the three people mocking each other."You are here, human. You have caused enough chaos." A witcher hissed."Our master is angry with you. Surrender the thing you stole and we will spare you and your mate." A witch jeered at Leo."Perhaps I feel, Master, is angry with your retardedness."
Adi stared at him with her wide, lifeless eyes. She was shocked as she hadn't expected Leo to shoot her, so did the witch. She looked at Leo horror struck."H-how did you know?" The witch asked, stammering.Adi's body hit the ground and began to melt. Soon the green liquid covered the ground. Leo smirked at the witch."I knew it wasn't Adi after she hugged me. My Adi won't smile after killing someone. Moreover she knows how important the task is for us. She won't argue with me. I didn't know the location therefore I used this shapeshifter." Leo answered."You knew from the beginning about this filthy creature." The witch hissed. Leo smirked at her again."Now, tell me where my Adi is." Leo demanded. Pointing
"Ugh! this place is making me feel nauseous." Adi commented, looking at the strange items scattered on the floor.Items contained nails, hairs, blood jars and other stuff which were so distorted it made one difficult to recognize them. As soon as they entered the hut, a strong rusting smell welcomed them. Hut had two rooms separated by a criss-crossed bamboo partition."I wonder what kind of rituals they practice." Leo said looking at the things, feeling uneasiness."This foul odor is making me uncomfortable. Where is it coming from?" She asked, scrunching her nose, displeased by the strong smell.Leo shrugged looking around and moved towards the other room exploring it."Now we know the source of foul smell
"How far do we need to go?" Adi asked, looking at the huge trees around them."Until we come across something or someone." Leo replied as he continued to walk deeper into the forest."Are we going in the right direction?" She asked again. She never left Leo's side ever since they entered the forest.Fredrick had provided them with sufficient weapons for safety measures. The weapons were effective against the witches. They didn't know how many witches they would encounter in the deep, dark forest. They didn't know if they would return alive from the forest, as the rumors say the forest is home to hundreds of witches.Nevertheless, they had to agree for their last task. Or else they would have to lose the weapon. Adi was tensed hearing about the witches.
Morning arrived with the sound of a carriage approaching the palace. Leo looked outside the window and saw two soldiers getting off the carriage. He wondered where Alfred was. He turned and looked at the yawning face of Mick.“Get back to your cat form, Mr Bones.” He said sternly as he knew he wouldn't listen to him.“But why? Anyways I will be revealing myself in front of the King.” Mick frowned.“Because you won’t be able to leave the palace unless the King gives permission. And we need you to prove that our task was completed.” Leo replied. Mick still looked confused.“Alfred explained the things. No one can exit without the King's permission. Palace is enchanted.” Adi explained.
