Chapter 70

Cassandra's POV

The dining table was set with plates and silverware and the delicious aroma of the meal was wafting in the room. Like every typical evening, I was sitting with Liam and the boys who were excitedly talking about their day at school.

"...and we were all laughing at him but he didn't even seem to realize what he did," Justin completed the story he was telling about a classmate who embarrassed himself in front of the class with a laugh.

We all joined in the laughter even though personally, I didn't think the story was amusing enough to illict a laugh. It was slightly funny though so forcing a laugh was not too hard.

"Mommy, our Daddy Jason took us to the park!" Mason exclaimed, his eyes shining with excitement.

I had told Jason to pick the kids up from school today as Liam and I had a business engagement and had taken the driver along but I certainly wasn't told anything about going to the park.
