Jason's POV"Alpha, the investor's meeting has been adjourned till Monday," my secretary informed me on the phone as I talked to her and I frowned."Why didn't you tell me that yesterday?" I questioned annoyedly."The arrangement was still valid as at yesterday. One of the investors just reported to be sick this morning and coincidentally, two other persons were already requesting for the meeting to be rescheduled," she slowly explained."Who dared to request for a meeting I had planned for with their consent to be rescheduled? Weren't they aware that they had other engagements when they agreed to today being the meeting day?" I vented."I apologize, Alpha Jason," she apologized and I could sense the fear in her voice."No problem, just confirm the time and tell me about it eventually," I huffed and cut the call.Argh! And I had wanted to go out with Cassandra and the boys but I didn't plan for it because of this meeting."What's the time?" I sighed and looked at the time.It was just
Liam's POV"Hey Cassandra, I didn't know you'll still be at home. I forgot to..." I was saying as I rushed into the house but trailed off when I saw the boys sitting down and fully dressed. "Why are you guys sitting down when you're already set to go? Is your Mommy not ready?" I questioned and Justin frowned."Mommy said that our... Umm... Our other father is coming to join us on our trip but he's not here yet," he complained."Wait what?" I furrowed my brows and he nodded.I thought she said that she was going to let Jason deal with the boys by himself and that she hasn't forgiven him. Why was she now going out with him like they were one happy family? What impression was she trying to give him by doing this?"Cassandra!" I called out. "Where's your Mommy?" I turned to the boys."She said that she'll go in to call him again since we were already tired of waiting to see if we could meet up there instead of..." Mason was answering but I was running to our room even before he could fini
Jason's POVI rushed downstairs, fully prepared for the outing with Cassandra and the kids and began heading to one of my cars. I quickly got in and began driving to Cassandra's home. I was still on my way when I got a call from my personal assistant which I promptly answered."Alpha Jason, I got a call from the company that requested for a collaboration..." he was just beginning when I pursed my lips and interrupted him."We've been getting a lot of collaboration requests recently, you know that," I reminded him."But you already accepted this one.""It's not the one from GlobalTech industries?""No sir, it's from a company that we're already working with, they supply us raw materials," he described and I finally figured out which company he was talking about."You mean Nathan's company?""Yes, Alpha Nathan," he confirmed."Okay, so what's happening?" I questioned."They said that they received our acceptance mail but the physical document hasn't been sent to them yet and it was supp
Cassandra's POVI walked through the front door, the boys trailing behind me, their laughter still lingering in the air. I couldn't help but feel a sense of joy from the day we had spent with Jason, the children's biological father. It had been a beautiful experience, seeing the boys connect with him and build a bond.I was supposed to be angry at Jason but somehow, I ended up having fun with him instead. I raised my defense once we were done with playing though and now, we were finally home.As I entered the living room, I found Liam waiting for me with his arms crossed and even though his expression was neutral, I could tell he was annoyed. However, I chose to ignore that as I couldn't understand why he was so jealous."Hey Liam!" I greeted him."Daddy!" The kids called out in a similarly excited tone and ran to hug Liam."Good day," Jason said to Liam but Liam only nodded which was weird as he had told me that he and Jason got along quite nicely when they met on the day Jason dropp
Cassandra's POVThe dining table was set with plates and silverware and the delicious aroma of the meal was wafting in the room. Like every typical evening, I was sitting with Liam and the boys who were excitedly talking about their day at school."...and we were all laughing at him but he didn't even seem to realize what he did," Justin completed the story he was telling about a classmate who embarrassed himself in front of the class with a laugh. We all joined in the laughter even though personally, I didn't think the story was amusing enough to illict a laugh. It was slightly funny though so forcing a laugh was not too hard."Mommy, our Daddy Jason took us to the park!" Mason exclaimed, his eyes shining with excitement.I had told Jason to pick the kids up from school today as Liam and I had a business engagement and had taken the driver along but I certainly wasn't told anything about going to the park."Yeah, we played on the swings and had so much fun!" Robin nodded eagerly, his
Cassandra's POVOnce we were done eating, Liam announced that he would be retiring for the night, obviously still in a bad mood due to his jealousy, and started heading inside to our room."Daddy doesn't want to tuck us in bed or read us stories," Justin whined."Does Daddy not like us anymore? He didn't tell us goodnight," Robin complained."He said 'goodnight everyone', that includes the three of you," I told them after a small laugh."But he usually tells each of us goodnight and only says 'goodnight everyone' to everyone else," Justin protested."I guess he's just tired," I sighed."He's never too tired for us! He doesn't like us anymore!"Okay, now my kids were just being dramatic also. How did they jump to this kind of conclusion? And since when did my children start jumping to weird conclusions like this? They normally didn't think like this."Your daddy loves you all so much okay? He's just stressed out and will probably treat you guys as usual when he wakes up revived tomorro
Jason's POVI walked out of my car after pulling over in front of my house and handing the keys over to one of the guards who was standing nearby so that he could park the car properly. What I needed to do right now was to wash up and just take a very long nap. Handling those boys was really stressful and I had to do that in addition to my already exhausting job so I really deserved rest.I enjoyed spending time with my children though and they had began to look forward to my visits too so I couldn't afford to ever bail out on them. I had even cancelled business meetings because of them multiple times since we had very little time to form a bond with each other that couldn't be compromised on."Jason!" I heard as I entered the house and even without looking at the person speaking or deciphering the voice I heard, I knew it was Brian. That was the only person that could be in my house and I wouldn't know till I was in front of him. I didn't drive to the parking lot myself which was why
Jason's POVI was working in my office when my cell phone began ringing and I immediately picked it up only to see that it was Cassandra calling.'I hope that she isn't about to ask me to pick up the boys, I am kinda busy right now,' I thought and groaned."Hello Cassandra, good afternoon," I answered the call."Hey, you need to pick up the kids and then pick me up also," she declared.I cocked an eyebrow on hearing her voice with loud noises in the background and wondered how she could be making a request while talking to me so rudely."I don't really understand what you're saying," I muttered."I'm at a grocery shop and I need you to pick me up then the kids, or you can pick up the kids up first, anyone you decide," she explained and I frowned."Why do I have to pick you up?" I enquired plainly since it was obvious she wasn't going to explain and she huffed."So I was just doing some grocery shopping since I was done with work when I got a call from the driver saying that he couldn'
