Everyone hated me.
‘I heard Beta Claire is back,’ One maid whispered.
‘Will the Alpha finally get rid of this useless Omega?’ Another asks.
‘She doesn’t have any use anyway,’ the other responded, ‘All she does is spend the Alpha’s money over nothing.’
‘Agree, and who the hell bakes in those kinds of clothes?’
Ouch!
‘Well, at least I look good,’ Was what I wanted to tell them but those words stayed in my head. I used to fight them with my words but always ended up in trouble with Stefan for it. He always tells me that I shouldn’t fight with his people, which of course includes his maids. So here I am, wearing my poker face trying to show that their words don’t bother me.
I don’t care about them anyway. I wouldn’t care less. They can hate me all they want it doesn’t matter, as long as Stefan stays by my side.
Stefan…
The one and only Alpha King.
He changed my fate the moment he saved me from being sold.
Because of my bloodline, the moment my father announced that I was up for bidding. All the packs near us began to attack our pack with one thought in mind, to claim me. Why waste their precious money when they can just take me by force?
Our pack suffered because of this, we are losing more and more people to defend our walls.
On the night that my father’s pack was about to fall. The Alpha King’s pack, led by the most successful, most wanted, eligible bachelor, Stefan Valentine, came to our aid.
He walked into my room looking dashing in the black suit that he was wearing as he offered his hand to me which forever changed my life.
As his hand touched mine, something between us clicked as we both said the exact same words.
“Mate.”
So now here I am, living with the man of my dreams, making him his favorite chocolate almond cake to celebrate our special day. I just hope that this time I get to see him eat it in person.
Being the Alpha King meant that he was always busy and even though we lived together, I barely saw him. This is why despite the pain in my leg, I still wear these heels and make sure that I always look good, so that if we ever bump into each other I am always presentable.
I was preparing the icing for my cake when I felt the shift in the air and I knew who just entered my kitchen, my number one hater.
“Trying to win the Alpha with a chocolate cake?” Clarisse said, taunting me. I am so used to the way she acts like she’s a grown-up but in reality, she is nothing but a child.
When I first came here I thought she wanted me to be her friend, but god was I wrong. She was so good at what she did, acting so innocent and vulnerable that when the new car that Stefan had brought me crashed into a ditch just outside the estate as I was teaching Clarisse to drive, she easily placed the blame on me.
That was the first and last time that I let that little witch manipulate me.
“If Clare hadn’t left to study abroad, I am very sure that you wouldn’t be here,” She said as she leaned over placing her index finger in the middle of the icing that I just finished making.
Sometimes I wonder if she was really Beta Clare’s sister. I know all too well who Clare was despite her absence. People around here have a funny way of rubbing it on my face.
And I can’t help but feel insecure at times.
She is not only smart, but also strong, and beautiful, not to mention, she was also Stefan’s first love.
“I know that you’re the Alpha’s mate but that’s all there is. He just pities you so much that he can’t reject you because once he does, you have no place to go. Who would want you? An Omega who doesn’t even look good. If it was not for your bloodline you would be nothing,” God I hate her so much.
“Why don’t you do everyone else a favor, especially the Alpha, by leaving on your own free will and stop dreaming that cooking chocolate cakes will make you our Luna.” A smirk appeared on the witch’s face thinking that she was winning the battle.
Until I smiled.
“Do you remember the night when Stefan was drunk and you knocked at the door of his study while wearing your sister’s uniform telling him that you would do anything to make him happy but then he just dismissed you and closed the door?” I paused and watched as her eyes widened, “He dismissed you because you were interrupting him while he had me spread out on his desk, devouring me.”
Rage fills the face of the little witch as she angrily storms out of the room.
I smiled at my small victory of the day, as I threw the icing on the sink and prepared to make a new one when my phone buzzed and I checked the message.
******
Stefan Valentine transferred 1 million dollars to Angeline Michaelson.
******
My phone buzzed again and this time the message was from Stefan.
******
My Knight in Wolf’s Armor: I’m busy today, go ahead and buy anything you want.
******
I threw my phone on the counter and stared at the cake I was about to finish.
A heavy sigh escaped my lips as I picked up the unfinished cake and threw it in the trash.
After three years of being with me, I am once again left alone to celebrate our anniversary. Yes, today was the day we found out we were mates. The day when he saved my life.
Everyone thinks that he spoils me because he showers me with luxury but the truth is I barely see him unless he is so drunk and needs to find release.
He never sleeps in our room nor do I find him beside me when I wake after he spends the night with me.
And now that Claire is back, I know that everyone is waiting to see him to finally dump me.
I woke up to the birds singing as the sun’s rays lit up the room. I turned to my side and found the untouched space beside me, which meant that Stefan hadn’t gone to sleep in our room last night. My phone buzzed as I found a message from Stefan. ****** My Knight in Wolf’s Armor: I know it’s a bit of a rush but I want you to prepare for a banquet tomorrow. I will be having important people on the guest list. Make sure that we only serve them the finest things we can offer. ****** There are times when I just want to throw my phone away. Was it really too hard to talk to me? We could’ve had this conversation over dinner last night if he just took the time from his busy schedule to come and dine with me. Still, I can’t help but smile. It makes me happy whenever he trusts me to handle special events for the pack. It makes me feel like I have more worth than just someone he takes to bed. But that’s not all, I enjoy these kinds of things because I excel in them. I sat up in
Stefan cracked open the window above my head as he hovered close hiding most of my body. “I have some updates regarding some of the packs that are seeking for your investment,” Claire said. “Have you narrowed down the list for me to look at?” Stefan asks. If they were going to talk, Stefan could have just told me. He could have just said that it was time for me to exit. I sigh pulling my dress off the floor of the car and trying to cover myself with it. But Stefan stopped my hands and started fondling my breast as he start to finger fuck me once again. “I have checked each one and have a list of those that deserve your investment,” Claire said. “Good,” Stefan said as he increased his pace. I can feel my orgasm coming closer and closer. Stefan definitely knew what he was doing to my body. My skin was a tingling mess every time Stefan touched a part of me, I felt like I was losing my mind. I purred loudly as pleasure exploded in my chest as I found my release. “What’s that?”
I let Stefan carry me into our bedroom's bathroom where he places me on top of our sink counter as he removes my clothes. There was urgency in his movements and even though this wasn’t how I wanted to spend a night with him, this was the only way to remove the gap that was slowly forming between us. I knew from the moment that his eyes flickered, that his wolf wanted nothing more but to claim me. I was his fated mate and yet until now, there was no mark left to prove to anyone who approached me that he owned me. Stefan allows his wolf to join him as he takes over my body, which my wolf loves so much. Unfortunately, by the end of such a hot and steamy night, Stefan will take over and stop his wolf from marking me. A true Alpha King who’s always in control. He picked up my naked body as he placed us under the shower where I let him take me. Under different circumstances, I would have wanted this to be more than just heat coming from our wolves. I wanted so many times for this to
After all my breakfast, I decided to get out of my body in the most embarrassing way. I started to walk back to Stefan’s office and found that the door was not fully closed. I was about to open it to walk back in when I heard the most annoying voice in my life talking. “Is she really pregnant?” she asked irritatedly. I peeked through the small opening of the door and watched as she walked towards where Stefan was leaning in front of his desk. “Well, she’s showing signs of pregnancy,” one of Stefan’s councilmen said. I held on to the doorknob unsure if I should get in or just go straight back to my room. But when I looked up again, I saw Clarisse looking directly at me with a snicker on her face as she uttered these horrific words. “I think the best way is to not let that baby be born,” there was no uncertainty in her voice as she uttered those hurtful words. “No one will hurt the baby,” Stefan said firmly but what he said didn’t even remove the smirk that Clarisse had on h
Everyone left the room except for me, Stefan, Beta Claire, Ethan, and his Beta. Stefan made sure that I was seated between him and Beta Claire as we faced both Ethan and his Beta. “Our meeting was set for tomorrow and not today,” Stefan said irritably. “Apologies, Stefan,” Ethan said smiling. “I really thought it was today. But I can’t say that I wasn’t glad to have the date wrong.” I can tell how much Stefan hates the Alpha in front of me, I just don’t know the reason why. “How did you know Angeline?” Stefan said cutting to the chase. The Alpha in front of me looked at me with those shining eyes and a never faltering smile. “Oh, I don’t know her,” he said shaking his head as he looked at me and then turned his attention towards Beta Claire. “But I do know her,” he added as he nodded towards Beta Claire who now seems uncomfortable. “You know my Beta?” Stefan asks in confusion. “Yeah,” Alpha Ethan said in a very nonchalant way that made Stefan hate him more. “We used to han
I am not sure how long I had stayed in that dark room with the shackles on. I don’t even know if it was night or day. All I knew was that Stefan hadn’t come by since he did what he did to me. I know that I have wanted to have a child with him. But I didn’t want it to be this way. I have dreamed for so many nights for him to make love to me and not just have sex. Always dreamed that he would want to have a child with me because he wanted to have a family with him and not for any other reasons. I closed my eyes as I remembered what he had done to me and honestly, I still can’t believe that he did what he did. But I don’t want to believe that he never cared for me, because I know that he does. I know that, unlike those people around him, he never thought of me as someone he would just use for breeding. If there was someone to blame for his actions it would be that Alpha from the Northern Pack. He really pushed Stefan to the limits. Stefan is my Mate and I know that we are sti
“Well, at least I have a great time with Stefan inside of me all night.”I felt the pain before I heard the sound of Clarisse's hand against my cheeks. It was so strong that my face turned sideways and even though I was in pain, I swallowed it and never made a sound, not even a whimper that would give her the satisfaction. “Stefan might have been inside you all night but that’s all it will ever be,” Clarisse's shaking voice said. “You will be nothing more than just someone he fucks. Someone he wanted to use when he wanted to release that itch. You will be nothing more than that. You will never become our Luna. Never.” The words cut deeper than any knife but I would never show her all the cuts and wounds that she had marked me over and over. So instead of showing the pain that I was feeling, I turned and faced her with the biggest smile I could come up with.“Well, it’s better than not having him inside of me at all,” I said in the most nonchalant way. “Unlike someone I know who wou
All of my life, I have been used to people treating me unfairly and to being hated. Which is why I never knew what it felt like to be treated like a princess. Stefan never really treated me badly until now, but the moment he heard that I was carrying his heir, something around us and between us changed.“What did you say?” he asked, his voice laced with disbelief. “I don’t think a baby would form just because we had sex last night.”“You know that we’ve done it a lot more before last night,” was my reply. He reluctantly looks at me. But I never gave any reason to doubt me. “I have never been with anyone but you, Stefan, and you know it. You can doubt me all you want but I know that now that you know, your wolf can sense it.”Stefan didn’t move. But he continues to stare at me. I felt the change in the air. Like it was no longer filled with rage, it was like it was softer. I watched as Stefan’s eyes changed from black to grey as it went back and forth like it was unable to decide w
-Stefan-As the war erupted, I made sure I didn’t lose sight of Angeline. I watched how she fought on her own, without using our son’s power. The first wave of newborns came and as much as it pains me to see all the lives that had been lost, I know for a fact that killing them would give them the peace that they long for. Angeline continued her trek toward the source of all this bloodshed and none of the newborns dared touch her. It was as if she was wearing an invisible shield all around her. Unfortunately for the newborns, such a shield does not save them from her. She continued to slice everyone who comes to her even those who don’t directly do. She cut the heads of those trying to kill our people and kept as many of them as safe as she could. She was ruthless as she was passionate and I know that when the clock struck 12, I would lose the most important person in my life. ‘Don’t do this,’ once again I begged the love of my life to reconsider the decision she made. Her eyes went
-Angeline-I don’t know what happened or when it started. Or when Elias slipped out of the room as Stefan and I started to bicker about something I felt was already decided. After what seemed to be an hour of non-stop shouting because we thought it would make a difference or that what we were saying could be heard, we both looked at each other as we both slumped on the floor. “I can’t Angeline,” he said as his voice cracked and pain was painted on his face. “I just can’t lose you again.”“You won’t,” I replied but didn’t promise as I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to fulfill it. “You won’t know the outcome,” Stefan cried as he leaned his head back against the wall. “Baby we can’t just let them die,” I pointed out. “As leaders of this pack, we need to make sacrifices to make people safe.” Even if those sacrifices meant that we were destined to be together. “Haven’t we sacrificed enough?” Stefan asked. “This is too much.”“Stefan, this is our only hope, and I am not just doing this f
-Stefan-There was a way out of this mess and yet I don’t want it. Angeline, my son, and I already spoke over the phone regarding it but I couldn’t for the life of me agree with the plan. But what I hated more than the plan was being stuck in this cottage feeling powerless. I hated the fact that I was once again leaving my wife, my Luna, and my Mate in danger. I am the Alpha of this pack and yet I haven’t done anything good to her. The only time that I saved her, or I think I did was also the time that I brought her to face so many hardships and pain alone. Isn’t there a way that I would be the sacrifice instead of her?Goddess, why can’t it be me?A commotion outside of the room pulled me out of my negativity as I stood and opened the door to check on it. “What the hell is—,” I wasn’t able to finish my sentence as I saw the reason for the commotion standing in front of me. “Angeline,” I breathed, as I was taken aback by her beauty. It’s been a while since I saw her face, her or
-Angeline-As my son and I were trying to figure out what had happened, a person appeared before us, and it was the last person I expected to see. “Hello child,” she said in a voice so melodic, that it made me want to fall asleep. “Grandma?” My son asks, taking me by surprise once again. “You know her?” I asked, even though it was pretty obvious. But still, he replied to answer me. “Yeah,” he said, scratching the back of his neck, “She showed up the moment I found out that I was different.” “Does your father know?” I asked, not sure if I could handle another betrayal. But he shook his head no and I found some comfort in the fact that there are things that my son and I only share.“I know you have so many questions but we don’t have enough time,” she said in a hurry. “There is a chance for you to win this war with fewer casualties but there is a sacrifice needed to be made,” she said. “What sacrifice?” I asked and immediately added, “And don’t tell me that I would need to sacrifi
-Ethan-As I reach the border where Sebastian and his surviving people where I can’t help but be afraid. Stefan had warned me about what had happened to Claire and the reason why he was quarantined. “Ethan,” Sebastian said as he looked at me with tired eyes. “Apologies for the precaution that I’m taking,” I replied as we kept the gates closed.“I understand,” Sebastian replied. “What do I need to do to prove my loyalty to you?” He asked. “Tell me what happened,” I asked. “Honestly, I don’t know,” He replied running a hand through his messed-up hair. “We were all minding our business. I was at the back of the clan checking on our people who chose to live alone or far from the city when one of our guards called me about the attack and told me not to go to the city and save as many people as I could.” I nodded. “We didn’t stop running since then,” Sebastian said as he gestured to the people behind him. Ethan looked at Sebastian and he knew that the kid wouldn’t lie to him. He als
-Angeline-I gathered the black warriors, and as usual, we made sure we had warriors that would assist people in the safe place. We decided that Martha, Lina, and I would remain outside, while the rest would manage the people inside the safe place. I look at my son worriedly because as a mother I wanted him to be safe. But instead of doing that, he wanted to stay by my side. ‘Stop worrying, Mom,’ he said through a mind link. ‘Worse case scenario I will be protecting you.’It’s hard to shrug my worries away, but just as what my son and Stefan asked of me, I need to trust them both that we would be okay. With just the two of us, my son turned to face me as he asked, “Does my Aunt have any powers?”“Not that I remember,” I replied. “As far as I remember none of her children also have any powers. How did you know you have powers?”“Dad,” he replied. “He sensed and saw it. And when he realized that I could understand him already, he started making me play with Uncle Elias to learn some
-Angeline-I am nursing a very painful headache as I watch my son act like his age. After hearing his explanation, a part of me still can’t believe that it was true. He had been very patient with me as he watched his own mother get more and more confused about everything that he was trying to explain. “Ethan is here,” Mrs. Smith announced as she entered the room. “I will meet him at Stefan’s office,” I replied. My son turned and looked at me, reminding me of the plan that he and his father had come up with. “You want to come along with me?” I asked almost forgetting that I was supposed to talk to him like he was a child. “I don’t think that he should go,” Mrs. Smith said disapprovingly.I turned to her and said, “I don’t want him far away from me. And if god forbid something happens to Stefan we both know that he would be taking that place. As much as I want to protect him, war is coming and it is best that he learns a thing or two about it, even though all I wanted is for him to
-Angeline-I don’t know what surprised me more. The fact that Stefan was now quarantined because of the possibility that he might become a newborn, or the fact that my son was someone I never knew he was.“Talk,” I said to Stefan, unable to confirm what I felt towards him. I was mixed with anger, confusion, fear, betrayal, and on top of all of those things, I had so many questions. “Before you get angry, Angel please hear me out,” Stefan pleaded and by the sound of his voice I can guess that he was now walking back and forth from where he was. “You have one minute before I decide not to talk to you ever again,” I threatened. “Angel,” he said almost crying out. “50 seconds,” I replied. “I didn’t know that his mind grew faster than his body until he was three years old, which is why I was so overprotective of him. I always knew that our son was special, but I didn’t know that he was more than the word,” Stefan started to explain. “He aside from his matured mind, our son has the ab
-Angeline- “I’m afraid, that there’s a possibility that our time will once again be cut short,” Stefan started to say, “We are being quarantined because there might be a possibility, just a small one, that I might become a newborn.”My body shook as I heard what he just said. “Angel?” I heard Stefan’s panicked voice but I was lost for words. “Baby, breathe,” he said soothingly. “I can’t run to you right now and that frustrates me so much. Please, talk to me.” I could hear him begging but it felt like I was in limbo frozen from where I stood.“Momma?” The voice I loved so much called. “Why are you crying?” He asked. He was getting better with his words. And just like that my head turned and I saw the reason why I was still alive. The reason why I fought so hard. I kneeled in front of him and pulled him to me. How do I tell my son about his father? How do I say to him that once again his family might fall apart?“There you are—,” Mrs. Smith said finding my son but stopped the momen
