Trouble

The next day, Rose woke up on the huge bed feeling relaxed and well-rested. She turned to see the other side of the bed empty and untouched.

'Looks like he didn't come back last night. What happened? Is there a problem back in Italy?' she thought with a worried frown.

Her mobile started ringing, which startled her. She turned to look at the caller ID and was puzzled to see Miller's number flashing on the screen.

'Why is he calling me so early?' she wondered.

She contemplated if she should answer the call or not, but in the end, she decided to take it. She decided that it must be something important if he was calling so early.

"Hello Miller" she answered in a professional tone. She no longer could think about him as her friend. The way he proposed and his behavior the next day made her feel like, this was the real Miller and the man he tried to pretend to be was all a lie.
