Angrily, I tossed my blanket and pillow into the bed and stomp my feet on my way to the door, "What the hell is that!?" I shouted at the top of my lungs with both of my eyebrows forming checks on each different sides while pulling the door hard.
"Hi Austin!" Shaun said waving his hand in front me with a huge smile on his face.
My eyed widen and I immediately close the door and run back to my room, to my toilet.
"Damn! Why did he have to go here this early!?" I said looking at my freshly awaken self on the mirror.
My hair is a mess. There's drool on the side of my face, my eyes were a little swollen and dang! my breath stink. Hurriedly, I immediately removed all of my clothes and quickly step in the shower.
It's been three days since Shaun shocked my world by suddenly confessing to me at the middl
“Austin!” Shaun shakes the woman vigorously as he keeps on calling her name.Austin seems to not hear Shaun’s voice. Her mind is flooded with something else, “hmm?” is the only thing that keeps on coming out of her mouth while continuously nodding her head.“Austin!” Shaun pops in front of Austin, which causes the woman to blink repeatedly because of the sudden appearance of Shaun’s face in front of her.“Wha-what? What are you saying?” she said, pulling the man to sit beside her. “Are you saying anything?”Shaun pouted and crosses his arms and looks at Austin, “Do you really have a thing for ignoring me?” he said rolling his eyes to the woman, “I’ve been calling you thousand of times but you just keeps on nodding your head without even looking at me.”Austin’s mouth moves upward as she watches the sight o
“What is it? Just… tell me… right now.” Grey pants, after running as fast as he can right when he heard from Justin that Shaun wants to see him. As soon as he enter the woods just behind Crescent Moon, he knew Shaun is around. He can smell the anxious scent Shaun is giving off. An anxious, frustrated and desperate kind of smell. A scent he never smelled before. He knew something was off. Shaun was never the type to ask for him. He avoids doing that as much as possible. He wants to do things alone without seeking for anybody’s help, even from Grey and Priam. That’s what Shaun is like. But this is different. Something in his scent tells Grey, that Shaun is bothered and troubled by something. To the extent that he would want to ask help from him. Something about the pressure and anxiousness in the air makes Grey tremble out of nervousness. "This is absurd. What the hell is happening?" Grey thought to himself, playing with his fingers.
"Damn that cocky bastard! He didn't even follow me or tried to stop me!?" says Austin as she blends the coffee. "Huh! I really knew he was nothing but an arrogant history professor!""Austin, please. Stop murdering the customers' orders," Peter said, laughing his heart out because of Austin uncommon behavior in the cafe."So-sorry" says Austin.Right after walking out, Austin went to the cafe. But her mood seems to be a little off. She keeps on angrily muttering to herself. Worst, the coffee she blends tastes bitter that several customers have complained."What's the matter? You look really angry and pissed off." Peter said, patting her head. Austin exhales heavily as she puts the cup down on the counter and removes her apron."I don't know Pete. I'm usually not like this. Why am I getting so mad over something so trivial and petty as this?" she said, looking at Peter.Peter chuckles as he gave the apron Austin removes to
With a racing heart and slightly shaking hands, Austin quickly went to the counter and bid goodbye to Peter, and to the other staff of the cafe. She hurriedly went outside and decided to just wait for Grey to arrive."Austin!" Grey shouts from the other side of the road. His voice is somehow trembling. His worried face is recognizable even to the poor eyesight of Austin. The moment she laid her eyes to his face, she knew something is bothering him. And that brings fear to her whole system. And she doesn't even know why. Grey quickly close the distance between him and Austin. "Come, I need to talk to you. This is urgent," he said, gently dragging Austin away. Austin is perplexed by Grey's unusual actions she can’t even utter any words. He's always calm and playful but he seems so serious and angry today, that she don't actually wants to stay with him a bit longer. It was as if her instincts tells her to get away from Grey as soon as p
Love conquers all, they said. But if a monstrous, blood thirsty beast like me is the one who falls in love, can I really conquers all with only love in my hands? Would our love take away all the fear she would feel upon seeing a beast right before her eyes. I doubt it. I have seen it before. Love is not enough. When one see someone or something beyond their imagination, a beast for example in front of them, one could easily toss away all the things they have gone through. All the memories that they shared together, all the time they spent with each other that would easily go to waste the moment she discover that you are not what they have thought of. People could easily throw something they can’t understand. That’s the worst part of being a human. Unlike us, we can’t choose who we fall in love with. It has been written in our very soul who we are destined to be with. We can’t toss them aside not unless they tosses us first.
I thought this day is ought to end in the worst way possible. The same way how my 15th birthday end. On the night of my 15th birthday, it was the first time the world fell on me. That’s when I saw my parents and their happy family of four cheerfully walking through the thick white snow. The day I have accepted that I was indeed alone in this massive lonely world. And now, my world fell apart the second time when Shaun refused me. The very first person I want to spend this day with. First, he rejected my request. I couldn’t even have the chance to force him, he refused my request just like that. He didn’t even hesitate to say no. He didn’t flinch, even just a little. Second, Grey confused the hell out of me. He made me out of my wits. He said these weird things to me, as if saying Shaun is a beast, a lycanthrope perhaps. Like that would even be possible, right? He keeps on aski
It was a horrifying sight. To be looked upon with eyes of the one you love with fear and disgust is the most painful experience you could’ve ever imagined. It was like a sharp knife pierced right into your heart. Killing you slowly. Bit by bit. Torturing you along the way. That’s how painful it is. It was like that with Anna. With just her eyes, my world fell apart. It was her frighten and fearful eyes that had me frozen in cold feet. Before going in here, I have prepared my heart to see Austin’s eyes with the same expression I saw years ago. I am prepared to have my world scattered into thousand of pieces. I have convinced myself that I would be alone in this lonely world. Who am I kidding? Is there someone who’s stupid enough to risk their lives to be with me? The moment the door swings open, I thought I won’t be able to hold back. I thought I would lose myself for the second time. The moment her sweet persimmon sce
"Alright again. I-I want to hear it clearly, Shaun." Austin said seriously without blinking her eyes.Shaun breathe out heavily. Everything is so strange. How can she managed to stay calm in the middle of all this? He thought as he looks at Austin.Austin is quietly sitting in front of him. Without moving an inch, her eyes are locked in his every moves. Watching how his shoulders goes up and down as he search for the right words to say. Watches how his eyes moves from side to side as he feels the nervousness kicking in."How should I say it?" he muttered to himself, scratching the back of his neck."Come on, Shaun. I'm waiting," she said, crossing her arms.Shaun chuckled. He find this very conversation something you could read in a fictional novel. Something to impossible yet is happening to him right now."Alright. Okay, okay. I'm a lycan. A lycanthrope." he said, raising his hands in complete surrender.
