Chapter 70

(Alice’s POV)

“When will you guys be here? The party will be starting anytime soon.” Judah yelled over the phone. I didn’t need to check before knowing he was on the phone with the people who were supposed to deliver the drinks. Everything else was set, just the drinks — and the cakes which were handled by Juliet.

I was dumbfounded after learning about the fact that I was pregnant. Nobody had expected it, not even me. It came as a shock when the medical test I thought would read ‘malaria’ instead read ‘pregnant’.

“We have to celebrate this! I can’t describe how happy I am right now.” Judah had said when I informed him about the baby. Before I knew it, he had picked up the phone and called half of our relatives.

The party would be holding today. Juliet was the one in charge of the cake. She said it was a part she had to fill, voluntarily. Since she was no stranger in our house, she brought everything she needed there and started the preparations in the kitchen.
