Chapter 75

(Juliet’s POV)

I was ready even before Jason called to tell me he would soon be coming. It was a Wednesday evening, but I was not in my bakery. I waited at home instead to graciously pick a beautiful dress. I wanted this last date to happen so badly. Not because I wanted to get rid of Jason, but because I’m so eager to know what my decision will be after all.

I sat on the couch, smiling at all the memories of our past we shared when we were together. Now that I look at it, it was so funny remembering the facial expression that was plastered on Jason’s face when the news about our marriage being fake first got revealed. It was a funny distress face that just happened to pop up in my head right now. I chuckled gently at it.

My phone rang afterwards, and on the screen display was Jason’s name. I knew he was calling me to see if I was ready to be picked up. I picked the call.

“Hello.”

“See you in the next three minutes?”
