Compensating the loss

Robin opens his eyes, to hear the familiar voice which he recognized right away. The woman glanced back and their eyes met. It is Noir who arrived at the spot and stood in front of Robin before the bulldozer hit him.

His eyes widened seeing her face.

“W-what are you doing here?” he yelled.

“To protect you of course, now shut me and let me do the talking.”

She stepped forward and looked in the direction of Robin’s dad.

“Uncle….” She ran up to his side.

“Why were you trying to run the bulldozer over his body? Have you gone nuts or something?” she asked him.

“No, and who told you to come here? Let him do his work. Why did you stop it?” he grunts, glaring at her.

“You must have lost your mind when he didn’t want to listen to you. I understand your frustration, but just because of that you can’t murder your son for the sake of some strangers can you?”.
