Peace comes with a cost

She finished her food and left. Robin took the plate of food arranged for Lucy and walked up to her room.

He stood in front of their room, lowering his eyes at the food, wondering whether to knock in or not.

After heaving a deep sigh, he knocks on the door.

“Lucy, are you awake?” he called.

No answer came.

“Lucy!”.

“Is she sleeping? Must be.”

“Lucy!” he again called several times. As she wasn’t waking he had to go back to the kitchen.

He washed the dishes, hoping for her to wake up, but she didn’t wake up at all.

“Where am I going to sleep like this? She has locked the door.”

He went back to his art room and closed the door behind him.

He looked around searching for a place to sleep, but there was hardly anything comfortable to sleep on.

He went back to the living room and lay down on the sofa, though it wasn’t comfy, but a better place to sleep on than the wooden floors in the art room.

He turned off the lights and lay down while staring at the night sky from the window. A calm breez
