I walk up to Dante before entering the ring. "Are you ready to kick his ass, beautiful?" He asks me.
Smiling, I reply, "You know it, I would not let him beat me. I plan on winning this entire tournament."
"Well, until you get to me, of course. There is no way that you could beat me." He says flirtatiously.
"We will see about that. Sit down and watch me win this." I say back with a wink.
He kisses my forehead before moving over to his seat to spectate. Kiba is sitting forward in his seat with a hunger in his eyes that I cannot understand. Is it for the violence and bloodshed that is going on around him or is it something else that has him enamored?
Squaring up with his Beta, we knock gloves and begin to circle each other. I do not want Kiba know my strength until his match with me at the end so I do not want to go on the offensive yet. It does not take long for his Beta to throw a punch at me which I easily block and return the favor. I hit hi
The next wolf that I am to fight I have not actually met before. I believe that he was in the group that went to look for Quin with us when he was attacked by the witches. So far, I have liked the wolf even though I do not know much about him. He listened well to what Dante told him to do but I do not know much more about him to have an opinion on him.We start to circle each other, and he looks a little nervous about fighting his Luna. I have heard that most of the warriors think that Kevin has been exaggerating my skills since I am Luna so he is most likely afraid that he will hurt me. As I wait for his attack, I notice that a lot of our pack has gathered around to watch what happens. Finally, he dives at me and tries to get a low punch to the abdomen in but I turn sharply and bring my knee up into his gut instead. He starts to cough a little but starts circling again right away. This time, I feignt to the left before bringing my right foot around for a r
As the heat slowly begins to fade, I get more and more worried about Dante. Why haven't I seen or heard from him yet? Where could he be? I have faith that he is not injured because I am sure that I would know about it, but what could be keeping him? After what feels like an eternity, I start to shiver and pull myself out of the bathtub. With the heat gone, I find that I can finally stand up without my legs giving out, so I peel off my drenched clothes before grabbing a fluffy robe to throw on and walking towards the bed again. I am exhausted after that. From what I was told my heat takes up to 3 days though so it can't be over yet. Is it going to be more of the same or will it be different from what just happened.Remembering that I can mind link Dante, I say, "Dante? Are you okay? I expected you to be back here by now.""I am fine. I will be back soon. Just making sure that there is nobody else hiding in here. I found 4 wolves hiding in here waiting
The sandwiches eventually got eaten after we had another round of burning calories. Once I wake up again from my next nap, I notice that I feel a little different than after the last few naps. This time, I feel lighter and more energized. Poor Dante is still passed out on the bed, not even stirring. I must have worn the poor guy out.Hopefully, this is a sign that my heat is ending. As I get up and stretch, I notice that the sun is just now coming up over the horizon. Day 3, I have hopes to be able to get out of this room and maybe even this house today. It might be best to take a shower after all of this bedroom activity I have been doing lately. I grab some comfy clothes and head into the bathroom. As I start the shower I hear Dante start to stir. I was trying to let him rest a little longer but he could definitely use a shower as well so I step in and start shaving before he can join me."Hey there beautiful. Feeling better I take it?" He asks ste
Thankfully, I made it all of the way to lunch without any more episodes signalling that my heat was still going so Dante made a dinner reservation for us. I cannot wait to get out of this house! It might have only been 3 days but it feels almost like a life time. While I did love having the time with just Dante, I did not like the way my body had a life of it's own the entire time. I am ready to get back to normal. Well, normal for me that is.For dinner, we head out to the Italian Restaurant that we have begun to grow so fond of lately. The fresh air helps to clear my head and invigorate me once again. As we sit at the table eating, I can see the rest of the pack eyeing me curiously. They must all be wondering if I am going to have an episode again since we have left the pack house so soon.Dinner tastes even better after being locked in that house for a while. As I eat, I realize that I am moaning out loud and not just in my head. Slightly ashamed, I glance around bu
That was the best bet to have ever lost. I am not entirely sure that I tried to win it though. It was far too much fun to lose. By the time we fall asleep it is only a few hours before dawn. Today is the day that I end up kicking Kiba's ass in the finals of the tournament so that I can hopefully gain more information from him. First though, we have the semi finals. The semi finals are going to consist of me vs my wonderful mate, and Kiba vs one of our other warriors. Soon, we will know exactly who is the better fighter. Me, or Dante. Kiba is in the first match though so we sit back to watch and look for any potential weaknesses. So far his only down fall seems to be his complete brutality in the ring. He does not seem to be worried about getting injured and just goes all out no matter who the opponent. As he steps into the ring, he glances at me before taking his place. I am not sure what the glance is supposed to mean but he either seemed concerned or curious. H
Dante and I climb into the ring right before our match is supposed to start. We may have gotten a little distracted just now but it is time to shake that feeling off and focus on our match. Finally, I get to test myself against my mate to see who is the better fighter."Are you ready beautiful?" Dante asks."Oh yeah, just promise me one thing." I say back."What's that?" He asks sounding confused."Don't hold back just because I am your mate." I say.At that he chuckles before nodding as we bump gloves to signal the start of the match. I can feel the entire pack's eyes on us as we get ready to spar. From the corner of my eye, I can see bets being made on who will come out victorious. Kiba's gaze is searing on me while he watches me get ready to fight my own mate.I swing slightly at Dante just to see how quickly he reacts but he just bats my fist away lazily before returning the blow. I bat it away just as easily and we trade blows back and
The time for the match between Kiba and I is intense. He did not expect me to attack as soon as the match started which gives me an advantage. In every match that I saw of his, he was always the first to attack so hopefully, I can use this to win the tournament. As I lunge at him, he twists early to try and dodge it but I swtich course and bring my fist into his ribs harder than I probably should have. He does not even grunt or act like I managed to get a hit on him. The only sign that he noticed is the slightly raised eyebrow as he looks at me in surprise. I keep up my attack so that he does not get the upper hand again.By now I am sure that he has seen me leg sweep a few people so I do not want to use that move unless I have to. Relying mostly on my fists, I keep hitting him with a speed which he cannot match. The most he manages to do is to block about half of the punches that I send his way. I can see him getting aggitated at not being able to attack me as I keep
The doctor gets done taking an x-ray of my foot and declares that the bone had already started healing crooked so he sadly had to rebreak the toe before it could heal fully. It hurts worse when you know it is going to happen than when in the middle of a fight. Luckily, the adrenaline had not fully worn off or else I am sure that it would have hurt a whole lot worse."You are amazing, just so you know." Dante says yet again as we are waiting for the bone to set enough to finally leave."You have said that recently you know. I would almost think that you are were lying when you said that I would be able to beat him." I say."What? Never. I had full faith in you the entire time. I did not have full faith in him keeping it clean. You managed to keep him on his toes so much that he never had a chance to pull out anything low like that. I am pretty sure that you broke a few more of his bones than he did of yours." He says with a chuckle."That is tr
