Chelsea quickly pulls off the clothes that are over her swimsuit as she rushes towards the water's edge. Last time she met him she was braver than I had expected as she did get in the water with him but she never really got the chance to swim with him. She also did not know of her witch heritage at the time so she could not speak to him. "How do I talk to him?" She asks excitedly. "Just send your thoughts to him the same way you would to the Earth. He will listen. He cannot handle complex sentences but general thoughts and feelings he is great with. Go ahead and try it, just open yourself out and once you reach him send your thoughts to him." I tell her. I watch the intense look of concentration on her face for only a few seconds before the look changes to that of intense excitement and surprise. Her mouth pulls into a huge smile as she walks into the water and runs his hands along his back. Curious to know what they are talking about, I open my mind up to the two of them as well.
After Chelsea trains with Sage for an hour or so Frank enters the water to help teach her how to swim. Rojo has been on the other side of the lake while they were throwing vast amounts of water at each other but now that they are calming down he comes swimming lazily back to circle around Chelsea once more."It seems like they are getting along well even though they lost so much time not knowing that they are related." Dante ovserves as we watch them."I think it helps that he got his memories back as well. it is almost like he is picking up where he left off. Even if it is with another child. He has been adapting well to me now too." I say."I honestly thought that it would be more difficult fo rhim to handle everything but he seems to have the same resilience that you have. Nothing really slows him down or holds him back." Dante says.As I watch Frank and Chelsea swimming in the water I cannot help the smile. She is laughing as she slowly sinks under the water after moving only a co
"So, you have now got the basics of swimming down. How does it feel?" I ask Chelsea after she manages to stay above water for almost an hour."It is so much easier than I could have imagined. Why did it take me so long to learn it before?" She asks herself."That is because you are not used to thinking like a witch does. You were learning the way that a werewolf is taught. It is not wrong but you are not just a werewolf. You are so much more than that. There might only be the two of us so far that are hybrids but we have to change our way of thinking. Learning the way that the others do is never going to get us far." I admit. "Is there anything else that is cool that I can learn in the water?" She asks."Yes, but I need you to get something else down all of the way first. I will show you but I do not want you trying it on your own until I tell you that it is okay. Understood?" I ask her.She nods her head enthusiastically. If she was able to I am sure that she would soak up everythin
The first day of wolf camp is about to start and I am not sure what all I am supposed to be doing or even where I am supposed to be. I have been purposely left out of most of the planning for this week so that they would not have to worry about me overdoing anything. I swear that if they could wrap me in bubble wrap then they would. Heck, they still might find a way just so they do not worry as much."Chelsea! Are you ready for wolf camp?" I ask from outside of her room. She has been quiet since last night. Her witch training has been moved to the afternoon so that she is still able to have fun with the other wolf pups. They do not know about her heritage still and that is the way that I would like to keep it. She is going to be enough of a target with everyone thinking that we adopted her. No reason to add witch blood to the mix as well."No. What if I end up accidentally using my powers? Will I scare them all?" She asks as she opens the door. She does look awfully nervous for today.
The first task for the children is a simple get to know you drill. Each person has to find somebody that they do not know, or at least not well, and get to know them better. Once they learn something fun about each other that others do not know, they are going to find a way to create some type of craft for the other person to keep. Something that will appeal to the facts that they learned about each other.I think that it is a little cheesy to be doing this type of activity but so far, most of the kids do not seem to mind. They are all giggling as they run around searching for somebody that they can learn more about. Chelsea is immediately surrounded by lots of other little pups that all want to partner with her. She looks at each of them shyly like she does not know what to do.Worried that she will start to lose her cool, I send Dante over to break up the party. Everybody wants to be paired with her because not only is she new, but she is also a member of our family. Even if they do
When it is time for the kids to all exchange crafts I am happy to find that Chelsea's partner made a paper fish. Dante managed to steer the converation towaqrds when she went fishing over the weekend instead of any harmful topics. Chelsea made the giraffe that apparently the child's family sponsors at the zoo. Both of their faces light up when the see the other person's crafts. Hopefully, this means that they are beginning to make new friends already. Most of the other children seem to be having very similar experiences. There are only a few that do not seem to be making any new friends during this exercise. There are still plenty more to go today and for the rest of the week though. One of the orphans seems to be having a terrible experience with one of the children from our pack though. After the other kid gives him the craft he jumps up off of the ground and takes off through the crowd. Immediately Dante and another parent are there to find out what happened before I can even get
Once all of the kids are once again assembled and calmed down, I am happy to see that Chelsea is talking to the boy that I just spoke to. She seems to be trying to figure out exactly what happened and help him. Soon, she should be able to tell them all what is going on with her. Then, they might not feel as much like freaks as they do right now. I mean, with her and I there are way bigger freaks out there.Dante walks over to sit next to me while a couple of other adults begin explaining the next activity. This one is actually just training and sparring together but with them being children they are going to have a blast. They have a real reason to hit each other after all."Hey, so what did he say? Is he okay?" Dante asks."Yeah he seems to be. He was just a little upset that the only thing any of the others know about him and the orphans is that they are just that, orphans. He does not want to be seen that way." I tell him."The other child said that that is the only information tha
"Chelsea, what did you think of your first day of wolf camp?" I ask her during dinner with the witches."It is fun. I just hope that nobody else gets picked on because of us being orphans. That really was not fair." She says."He was not being picked on. If he wants anyone to acknowledge that he is more than just an orphan then he has to stop being just an orphan. You all do." I explain.Elle is watching our interactions with a slight smile. I can practically feel her amusement over me going over this with Chelsea. I had so many problems when I first started to learn how to use my powers. I was trying to take on a Coven and protect my pack all at the same time. At least Chelsea only has to worry about school at this point."Yeah, he ended up saying something about that later on. I did not want to pick a fight but I wanted all of them to know that I was able to protect my friends." Chelsea says in a small voice."I know. I am proud of you for what you did. Next time, just make sure tha
