Once all of the kids are once again assembled and calmed down, I am happy to see that Chelsea is talking to the boy that I just spoke to. She seems to be trying to figure out exactly what happened and help him. Soon, she should be able to tell them all what is going on with her. Then, they might not feel as much like freaks as they do right now. I mean, with her and I there are way bigger freaks out there.Dante walks over to sit next to me while a couple of other adults begin explaining the next activity. This one is actually just training and sparring together but with them being children they are going to have a blast. They have a real reason to hit each other after all."Hey, so what did he say? Is he okay?" Dante asks."Yeah he seems to be. He was just a little upset that the only thing any of the others know about him and the orphans is that they are just that, orphans. He does not want to be seen that way." I tell him."The other child said that that is the only information tha
"Chelsea, what did you think of your first day of wolf camp?" I ask her during dinner with the witches."It is fun. I just hope that nobody else gets picked on because of us being orphans. That really was not fair." She says."He was not being picked on. If he wants anyone to acknowledge that he is more than just an orphan then he has to stop being just an orphan. You all do." I explain.Elle is watching our interactions with a slight smile. I can practically feel her amusement over me going over this with Chelsea. I had so many problems when I first started to learn how to use my powers. I was trying to take on a Coven and protect my pack all at the same time. At least Chelsea only has to worry about school at this point."Yeah, he ended up saying something about that later on. I did not want to pick a fight but I wanted all of them to know that I was able to protect my friends." Chelsea says in a small voice."I know. I am proud of you for what you did. Next time, just make sure tha
"So, we just have to assume that they know now." I confirmed out loud. This cannot be happening. All of this planning that we did to keep her away from them and yet they still managed to find out the truth about her. We are going to have to tell her all about it now. Before they are able to get any closer to her."That would be the best bet. If we go on the offenseive then we will not be caught off guard later." Elle says."Do you think that Aurora is going to tell Simonetta then? She seemed like she was on the verge of telling her. Like she might not tell her unless she has a reason." I say. "It is hard to say. I think that she could easily be swayed to but if she is not given the opportunity then mabye not." Elle says.We can only hope that she is not given the opportunity. I might be able to keep track of their comings and goings but I have no way of keeping track of their communications. She might have been talking to Simonetta this entire time but I would never know. Maybe we ca
"Is that why we moved our training here?" Chelsea asks me.The fact that she was able to come to that conclusion on her own is impressive. She is much smarter than any other eight year olds that I know. Since she has already figured it out I might as well be honest with her. The Moon Goddess' warning that she could possibly turn into my biggest threat remains in the back of my mind. The only hope to stop that is by us growing closer as sisters and always being completely honest with each other. "Yes, it is. We were hoping to avoid them learning that you are also a Hybrid but it seems that they learned it anyhow. We might be able to keep it slightly under wraps by not letting them know what all you can do but they have already learned the biggest secret we had from them. We just have to keep them from learning more." I admit."Since they already know that I am a hybrid does that mean that we can go back to the witch house? Training was much more fun there. They know that I can use the
Now that Aurora has learned about Chelsea, we have informed the other witches in our Coven on the update. When Chelsea and I get back to the pack house for the night, I find that Dante is once again in his office going over our plans with meeting the other Alphas. I cannot quite make out the exact words that he is saying but judging by the way he sounds it is not going as well as he would like.He has been just as stressed as me lately with the meeting between all of the Alphas, Chelsea being a hybrid, me being a hybrid, me being pregnant, Chelsea starting school and even trying to help out Rand's pack that I really hate to add more to his stress levels. It is not exactly something that I can keep from him either though. Still, I will wait until he comes to bed to tell him of our other, newer issues."Come on, Chelsea. Let's get upstairs so that you can take a bath and get ready for camp tomorrow. You don't want to be smelly." I say as I plug my nose and pretend like she smells absolu
Chelsea is still playing in the bathtub when I go to find her. I can tell that she is beginning to grow tired when I walk in to find her. Her eyes look much darker than they normally do when she first wakes up. She looks nowhere near her normal bright eyed self. "Are you ready for bed Chelsea?" I ask her after knocking on the door. She nods quickly and jumps out of the water while I turn to wait on her bed for her. She wastes no time at all getting dressed but as she walks into her room her feet are dragging. There is no way she will be able to keep this up the entire week if she is already this tired after only one day. Have we been pushing her too hard? After all, she is only 8 years old. Definitely not old enough to have this hectic of a schedule. "Hey, are you okay?" I ask her sweetly. "Yeah, just tired." She replies with a yawn. "I know. Are you going to be okay tomorrow at camp? Or even at training?" I ask her. "I think so. I cannot miss camp. The other orphans are relying
Dante made sure to help me relieve stress for hours that night. Even though I was physically exhausted with the pregnancy I just could not get my mind to shut off. That is, not until we had a few rounds that lasted well into the night. Only when I was so physically spent that I could no longer keep my eyes open was I able to finally fall into a deep and dreamless sleep. Well, that is the way it started of course. Before I know it I am standing on the ledge in my dreams once again. This time, it is brighter than it had been before. In the distance it is still dark enough to swallow all light but closer up I can see beautiful waterfalls and huge cliffs. I might be standing on a ledge over a huge drop off but What I can see under me is absolutely breathtaking."Ah, Laina, it is good to talk to you again. I see that the training with your sister is going well." The Moon Goddess' voice carries through the air.My heart practically stops when she speaks to me. I am absolutely terrified. Not
When I wake up the next morning I find that the image is still burned into my mind. As well as a sense of urgency that I cannot seem to shake. I have to get started on building it. Now. Even if I just start drawing up the plans before the baby comes I know that I at least need to start something for it. "What is going on in that head of yours?" Dante asks sleepily as we get ready for the day."I visited the Moon Goddess again last night." I answer."Oh yeah, what does she want you to do now?" He asks me."She wants me to start building a school for all of the hybrids to train at. She showed me how she wants it to look as well as what all she wants it to include. The image keeps flashing in my head like I have to get it onto paper now." I tell him."Would you like to share the image with me? Or, we can bring some drawing supplies with us to the camp today and you can work on drawing it all out while we watch the kids try to get along." He suggests."That would be great thanks." I tell
