It is time for the teenage girls to try their hands at surviving a weekend on their own in the woods. They all seem a little nervous but nowhere near as nervous as their parents are to have their girls out on their own. I have done everything that I can to assure them that their girls are safe but I had to be careful not to give away too much information about the weekend. I write their campsites on popsicle sticks for them to draw which place they are going to be staying at. As they each pick their respective campsites, I can see one girl's parent's face pale. She must have gotten the one that has the highest difficulty rating. Considering how much better the girls had listened than the boys, I have full faith that they will do just fine. I have no doubts that she will have an issue finding water either. In each lesson she stood out as a shining example of what to remember. There is nobody that could have been better prepared for that site so far."So, you all have your campsites.
"Listen child, when you get back to the Witch's House, I want you to find your grandmother and tell her that I am being kept out of your house. That is not something that should be possible. I have been trying to reach your dreams again for a while now. There is a lot that I want to discuss but I will have to give you a couple of days to figure out what is going on. Now, you have made a lot of progress recently. The strides that the Coven and Pack have taken are quite extraordinary. It is time that I tell you about cross species breeding. If a witch and a werewolf wish to have a bond similar to that of the werewolf bond, then I will oblige. They just have to go out during a full moon and ask for their souls to be joined together. Have them head to the clearing, join hands and look towards the moon. Once their hearts beat as one, I will grant them the bond. If they are not ready the bond will not be granted. Children will then be possible after a bond is established. It will be accomp
"You seem extremely excited. What is going on?" Dante asks studying my face."I have news. The Moon Goddess met with me in my sleep again." I tell him."That would explain the cloaked feeling that I felt when I reached towards your mind. I could only tell that you were safe and that you were not scared in any way but nothing else." He tells me."I doubt she would want someone peeking into our private convesations. The news is huge though." I tell him."So,.....what is it?" He asks puzzled."I can't tell you that yet. We will have to get the entire Hybrid Council together first." I tell him."Okay. It must be important then. Tomorrow morning?" He asks.I nod my head enthusiastically. I am going to have difficulties waiting to tell anyone about it. It is only fair for those that it affects most directly to let them hear it first. We are also going to have to be careful how the information gets out. There are some that will try to stop witches from going out at night with a werewolf. Th
The Hybrid Council all met bright and early in the joint gym building. They all shared confused looks as they walked into the room. I did not share any information as to why I wanted them all here, only that we had some things to discuss. I have a feeling that Dante might have let slip that I had talked to the Moon Goddess again but I do not know for sure.Amora is the last to walk through the door. The others have already met me at the table and had a seat while waiting for her. I created this table circular for our meetings. During formal events I tend to use a rectangular table but for times like this a circle table helps to stimulate conversation."Thank you all for coming so quickly." I say once everybody has a seat. "So, are you finally going to tell us what has had you so happy and excited since yesterday?" Dante asks. When he says that I can see some of the witches lean in and start whispering amongst themselves. All except for Elle. She just raises a brow at me and does not
I watch Simonetta's face turn bright red. She cannot hide her fury at the fact that everybody believes me. Instead, I can see the gears turning as she tries to figure out how to still end up on top after this argument. "I saw what you did to Morden. Are you telling me that the Moon Goddess really told you how to block a witch from her powers? She created us. All of us. Why would she keep any of us from accessing their powers?" Simonetta yells.I can see Katrin and Viola shift slightly like they are not sure who to believe. I understand where their thought process is coming from but there are too many signs showing what really happened."Yes, she did show me. Do you know why? Because she left witches with free will. Free will to make our own choices. Free will to follow our own paths. Free will to find happiness. If you cannot see how that could turn sour then you need to think harder about it. Morden was given the same opportunities as everyone else. She screwed it up. The power went
The room is absolutely silent at my confession. The only person that knew about this was Dante. Well, him and Elle of course. She is the one that kept it a secret though. Now, everybody knows. Everybody knows that my father is still alive. That I have allowed him to stay hidden all of this time. Now I am going to have to find him. He is no longer safe away from me like before. Before, I thought as long as he stayed where he was then nobody would ever find out that he is my father. If nobody knew then he would be safe. Now that others know he is alive, the best way to keep him safe would be for him to come and stay with the pack. I cannot help but let my heart soar a bit at the thought of once again seeing him."Is there any proof that this is not another fabrication that you have come up with?" Simonetta asks."Yes, there is. I am the one that found him. I sent him away. He was safe living an anonymous life. Safe from other witches like you. I just wanted to make sure that my only so
As Elle begins to bring up her memories, I mentally prepare myself for what I am about to watch. I have known that both parents are dead for years only to find out recently that my father is still alive. Now, I have to watch the night that everything happened as if I am living it. As if I am the one reliving it. Unable to stop what is about to happen. Elle shoots me an apologetic look as the memory begins to play. The wind is whipping past as she rushes down the mountain. She is running as fast as possible using the wind to speed her and the Earth to help her move faster. Even the trees are moving out of the way as she speeds past each one. "No, no, no." I hear her say softly as she runs."Faster, I can go faster. I have to go faster." She pleads. As the Earth moves by even faster than before, I can hear her sobs. She does not slow down once she reaches the base of the mountain. There are sounds of wolves fighting in the distance as well as crashes. When she looks up towards the cott
Once all of the witches are finally far enough away, Elle rushes over to my father. Taking his head in her arms, a few tears begin forming. He is still struggling to breath but once her illusion lifts it is easy to see that he is doing much better than before. He no longer looks as if he is on his last limb. Not far from it, but there is still hope. "Where is she? Where is my mate?" He says brokenly. At this, Elle begins to sob in earnest. I never thought that she would seem this broken. She has always been the strict, no nonsense teacher and leader. She never shows undo emotions except for on rare occasions. When Ulfred was born she jumped right in with no thoughts of herself. She threw herself into saving him that day. That was the most I have seen out of her until now. "I am so sorry. I did not make it in time." She sobs. He tries to push her away weakly but his strength still has not returned yet so he says, "Go. You never wanted us together anyways. I guess you got what you w
