After talking with Safiya for I find that I have a renewed sense of purpose as I finish my walk to the pack. She surprises me by wanting to come with me to observe how the wolves act when they are not being attacked by witches. "Is that what this weird glowing thing means?" I ask her."You didn't know? I take it that it has happened before?" She asks me."One other time. Safiya's secret friend has some problems formulating a greeting when he finally reaches our group. After a fair bit of staring the first word that I hear him say is, "Wow."It takes everything in both me and Dante not to start laughing at his extensive vocabulary. After a few more seconds of pained silence, Dante finally takes pity on him and mind links him. It does not take long for him to start giving compliments to Safiya on how she look while I continue to struggle with holding in my laughs. It is not very often that werewolf males get so flustered around someone. Especially after sleeping with them. After a little bit of small talk is exchanged between the two of them, Dante and I decide to give them a little more room and let them talk alone. Moving just a couple of feet away, I find myself surrounded by pack members coming to say hi. Each one gives me a smile or even a hug before moving on to mingle with others. It is always nice to get such a heartwarming welcome each week.T

After promises to visit with Scarlett soon, I find myself seeking out Amora. With me spending so much time with the Coven she has been doing my normal Luna duties. I feel bad about her picking them back up for me when I only just took them over but I have not yet found a way to do both. "Laina, it is so good to have you here tonight. How have things been going over there? I do not hear much from Dante as far as progress." She says as she gives me a hug. "It has definitely been improving. I am hoping that we will be able to join the Coven and Pack more often soon so that I am around more. How have things been going here?" I ask her. "Oh, you know, teenage boys getting into trouble. We have another pregnancy to celebrate. Scarlett and Ulfred are doing well. Overall the pack is seeming to be doing good." She tells me. Now that the situation with the teenagers is somewhat settled, I move on to begin visiting with some of the other wolves some more. Even Quinn comes up to see me looking almost as tired as Scarlett was. He did not even realize that she had went home to get some sleep. When I tell him he gives me a relieved look before turning and heading to his house as well. I can only assume that he wants to get some sleep almost as badly as she did."Aren't you just a little social butterfly this eveing." Dante says coming up beside me.He gives me a brief one armed hug and kiss on the head. I lean into him slightly as a wave of exhaustion washes over me. I really missed being around everyone. It is tiring just trying to catch up to what everyone has been up to. "Where did Safiya get to?" I ask him."Um, well, she might have run off with her 'friend' a little while ago. I am not quite prepared for what is greeting me on the other side of the door. Instead of just walking through the door, I bust the entire thing down and walk right in. Simonetta jumps up but my eyes are not drawn to her. They are drawn to Hazel who is sitting on the ground as if she collapsed. Her hands are over her ears and she has tears streaming down her face. It takes far too long to get Hazel to calm down enough to talk to me coherently. She cries silently for a when I tried to talk to her. Eventually, I am able to talk to her without her crying or breaking down right away. Seeing her like this makes me angry. To destroy someone's spirit this way is beyond wrong. There is no reason to do this to anybody."Hazel, hun, what happened? I don't like seeing you this way. I am so sorry I was not here when they decided to go on the attack. They were bound to do it eventually, they just needed a reason. They were not supposed to hurt you though. They were supposed to come after me. Only me." I tell her while rubbing her back.I am so upset by the situation that I am almost in tears myself. Not sad tears but angry tears. It really irks me that they would be willing to hurt an innocent, young witch just to get back at me. As soon as I give him the go ahead, Dante rushes over to check on me and even Hazel. He has heard me speak of her often enough to know that she means something to me. Hazel was slightly taken aback by the Alpha of the pack coming to check on her. Still, she takes it in stride as she finishes calming down. I create another bed for her in one of the spare rooms so that she can sleep up here and away from everyone for a couple of nights. I even went so far as to add her specific signature to the door so she will not need me to get in.Once she settles herself in her temporary room, Dante and I find ourselves alone. It has been such a stressful day that I do not even know how to unwind from it. My witches were attacked in their own home. That is not something that can be taken lightly.
