When I tell Dante about what Jade says to me he smiles while making the food. He does not seem surprised that any of the parents have come up to me to thank me for what I have been doing. He seems more surprised that it took them this long to finally say something."You do know that the things you have started in this pack are completely unheard of right? It is finally time for the first survival weekend. I wanted to be able to spend some more time with each group before they are left on their own for a weekend but they seem to be fairly prepared. Since they have only received one week of training I am allowing them to keep their notebooks with them but they will each have to survive at a campsite alone for 3 full days. Not long enough to starve but it is long enough to test them and motivate them. Once we get more training done on others we are going to make the survival time even longer."Are you guys ready to get out there?" I ask them all.Being a group of guys none of them are allowing me to see their nerves but they are not very good at hiding it either. One of the guys visibly gulps while another seems to be sweating profusely. Keeping an eye on the teenagers that are doing their survival training is just as entertaining as I had thought it would be. The two that procrastinated when they first arrived are the first two to notice the desperate pangs of hunger. I think that they thought that their parents would sneak them food but when nobody shows up, they begin to worry about what they will eat. Eventually, they break down and begin to set up their camp and find food but not until the hunger is a constant distraction. I have been at that point and it makes somebody make foolish decisions when they are constantly distracted by it. At least they do not have to worry about the possibility of actually starving as we will be there to get them by the time the weekend is over. The other three are doing better but have still faced their share of difficulties. The one that could not find water has had to get creative on they get their water intake all day. The first Fast and Furious movie is completely different from any of the other movies I have watched with Dante. I never really watched racing movies when I was a kid because they have always bored me but this had such a great story line that I could not help but be pulled into the movie.The entire time I was watching I was rotting for Brian and Mia to get together. If she had ended up with Vince I might have just broken the television set for the fun of it. I also loved the way that Dom and Letty are still into each other no matter what they are going through.What almost broke me though was when Jess was shot. It was so sad to see somebody die over something that seems as pointless as a lost race with a car grand prize. I had not expected that but then to see the way the movie ended was even more shocking. The cop just lets the bad guys get away because he gets too attached to the family. I understand that part but they were still robbing truck drivers and stealing parts so justice

"Luna, Luna!" I hear in my head while trying to sleep.Groggily, I turn over and look at the clock next to the table. It is 3:00 in the morning. Why am I awake. As we follow the path that the Earth has laid out for me I begin to feel more and more nervous about what we might find. I cannot access the boy's mind to find out what he is seeing or doing. It is almost like it was shut down from his end somehow. The only time that I have ever seen this happen is when Quin was attacked and we could not locate him. It is extremely difficult to block Alphas, Lunas and Mates so it hardly ever happens. Now that we know that the missing teenager is really just an attempt for two young people to hook up against their family's wishes, I am more than happy to go back to bed and get some sleep.
