The lake is nice and peaceful when we arrive. Thankfully nobody is here hanging out since most are enjoying a family day today. Werewolves almost always spend the weekends with their immediate families instead of training for the weekend. The kids are not the only ones that deserve the day off.

Since there is nobody else here, I find myself drawn to the water's edge. Nothing is disturbing the surface as I watch small waves caused by the wind to move across the water. If I was not so worried about the large fish living in the water, I would be more than happy to go for a swim today. It might be a little chilly but the water sure does look inviting.

"How did this monster show up before?" Elle asks me.

    Why would this fish have the same colored scales as my hair and all of the forms that I can shift into? It can't really be a coincidence could it? Surely it has to mean something.     The arapaima is even more massive underwater. it is solid muscle but it regards me in a way that I can only consider to be friendly. The last I knew the closest place to find an arapaima was in South America but maybe this one has just been forgotten here for years. The wolves would have never thought to hunt any fish so it would have been relatively safe. I get close enough to be able to touch it before I slow down. I am still underwater with my pocket of air but I am no longer afraid that it is going to drag me down. Instead, I slowly reach out a hand and lay it on it's side. If this were a normal fish then I would have either been attacked or else it would have fled to deeper water. With this one, I am able to run my hand all of the way down it's side as I feel ever muscle coiled and moving to keep it in one place.     Dante is still understandably weary of the fact that I have a familiar that is a fish the size that it is. When I told him all that it would be able to do he is beyond shocked at it all. He does not want me going back unless either he or Elle are with me until we learn more about it. I have no doubts that I am safe with it but I still tell him that I will wait for one of them to accompany me before heading back.Today, I am going to start training the first batch of teenagers and their parents on some survival skills. I want to start working on getting them to be able to live on their own in the woods for a week as soon as possible. This is a necessary skill that they should have all been learning before now.The first group of teenagers are the ones that are going to be coming of age at the end of the month. The parents are going to be learning the information at the same time as the teenagers so that they know that their children are going to be safe in the woods. Each parent will w

    For my private quarters, I am planning to have a nice sized chamber for my entire family to be able to use and then a few rooms connected to it. The largest will, of course, be for myself and Dante while the others will be for any children and grandchildren that we might one day have. Each bedroom will have a private bathroom as well so that there will be no squabbles later on.What I do not tell the witches is, there is also going to be a security room that the contractors are going to help me set up so that I can keep an eye on things even when I am not at the location. There will also be a lot of training areas that will specifically focus on things that only a witch/wolf hybrid is able to do. The library is going to be the first room up the stairs and then passed that is going to be our quarters. We are going to have it set up so that only blood relatives are able to walk through the first door without being invited. After that, each person will have the same thing for their priva

    Planning our quarters and building them is another thing entirely. It takes almost a month before they are completed. A long month of training teenagers in survival skills, building our other home, and trying to spend plenty of time with my new familiar as well.Things are going fairly well with the fish. The more I go to see it the faster it seems to show up each time. I grow less and less weary of it and after a couple of visits even feel capable of having Dante join me in the water. He was no where near as trusting as I was but he still got in and was able to run a hand down its' side before it swam further away again.Ulfred is being just the cutest little baby as he shifts almost constantly from wolf to baby form everyday.     When I walk into the pack house, I find Dante in the kitchen finishing up making us some lunch. I walk in to help him and find him making a mountain of sandwiches and trying to carry one too many things to the counter which results in him dropping a few items. I chuckle as I walk over to him to pick up the items that fell."Looks like you could use some help with all of this stuff." I say to him still chuckling at watching him try to juggle everything."It is helpful sometimes. I always thought that I would have a mate that is around to help out but mine always seems to be busy."     Showing up outside of the witch house the next morning is priceless. They had to have been trying to keep an eye on if I was still in the house or not because they are all beyond shocked that I used the front door instead of leaving my quarters.     When I tell Dante about what Jade says to me he smiles while making the food. He does not seem surprised that any of the parents have come up to me to thank me for what I have been doing. He seems more surprised that it took them this long to finally say something."You do know that the things you have started in this pack are completely unheard of right? Nobody has ever done this kind of training with all of the members of the pack before. They have always just let things go as they are." Dante informs me."That may be true but I am not doing any more for them then I wish somebody had done for me.     It did not take long at all for the Hybrid Council to arrive. They all file in looking a little shocked to see Simonetta there, unable to use her magic as she floats slightly in the air.     Simonetta rushes towards me using wind to guide her speed. It is not enough to throw me off guard though and I shove a wall of dirt up in front of me. She almost crashes into it before she is able to skid to a stop at the last second. If she had prepared then she might have been able to use the air that was helping her speed up to me to jump over the wall but instead, she is used to using her other powers for combat and did not make the decision in time.As soon as she begins to stop, I tear down the wall and shift into werewolf form quickly to land on top of her with my teeth to her neck.     As soon as my illsuion drops I see Simonetta's face blanche. Chelsea drops to the ground and has it swallow her up as she falls through it to meet the others.     Each team splits up and gets ready to make their way through the obstacle course. They are all going to have to take turns trying to make it through safely. Each team has a designated amount of time before they get elminated. The one that makes it through the fastest and with the least amount of mistakes, will be the ones to win the competition. The course is very similar to the one that we did with the entire pack when we first started training. The one that really got the women moving faster as they fought to make good time through the course to beat the men. This one is just a little more geared towards children and not fully grown adults.Some of the obstacles are smaller to better accomodate their size, some things are closer together and they have even added some new obstacles that would have been difficult for the adults.     It takes much longer than planned to get the babies ready for travel. I have never packed a diaper bag before but luckily Scarlett shows up to help me get them ready and squeal over the twins for a minute.     The first night with the babies was quite a bit of a learning curve. Whenever we put them in their bassinets they just started to cry nonstop until we picked them up again. It took a couple of hours to find out that if we put them into the same bassinet they were able to sleep peacefully and not wake us up. By the time we managed learning that, I was beyond exhausted and ready to sleep.     Chelsea comes running in once the babies start to cry for food. Her face is filled with excitement as she rushes over to me. Even though they are hungry, I allow her to hold and rock Caterine while I first feed Archer.
