Raphael landed shortly after leaving the castle. He glanced at Sophia and was not satisfied with her dress code

" Let's do something about your dress my love." he said

He couldn't let her roam the human realm with that beautiful dress. She was too beautiful that men will start ogling at her beauty something that didn't sit well with him. She was only he's,to touch,to kiss and to own. No one should even set their eye's on her. If one did,he will have to gouge their eyes. That's how possessive he was with his mate.

He flicked his finger's and a new dress covered her body. This one was alittle loose and concealed all her curves. Compared to her previous One,this one could be considered conservative.

Looking at her, Raphael was satisfied with his work. She was well hidden now.

" I'll alter your face now." he said.

" But why?" Sophia asked frowning. she didn't like the idea at all.

" First, it is for your own safety and second it's for my peace of mind." he explained seriously.

Her frown deepened,she did not understand what he meant.

Seeing the confusion on her face, Raphael decided to make it clear

" During my existence,I have made several enemies so you could be in danger because of me." he patiently explained.

Her frown disappeared and was replaced by a sweet smile." You are so thoughtful." she said.

She was happy that atleast in this life she had someone who truly cared for her. In her past life,she had no friends. she only had a dad who would better earn money than spend time with her. Her sister and boyfriend who she cared for betrayed her. Life had given her another chance to live and love. She would spend it next to him and loving him.

"You are my mate and your pain, sorrows, happiness, grief also belong to me. we are joined together for eternity." his lovely gaze never left her face when he uttered those words. Sophia's heart was filled with happiness,she must have saved a whole species to have such great luck.

" now allow me to." he politely requested this time.

"go ahead." she gave her consent.

"close your eyes my love." he uttered close to her earlobes.

She did as instructed and seconds later she was told to open her eyes.

Straightening his palm, a princess like mirror appeared on his palm.Seeing him do magic now and then, Sophia was so amazed. If someone told her that those kind of things could be done back at her previous world she would probably laugh it off and call that person crazy but then here he was .

Taking the mirror,she looked at herself. Her beautiful face was replaced by a normal looking face.

.Not only did he change her appearance but he gave her such a normal looking face? what was trying to do?

"That Way,no one will see how beautiful you are." He said grinning.

Sophia thought that his smile was so beautiful,it was captivating. she could look at him smile all her life and never get tired.

She tiptoed and kissed him.

Raphael's heart raced and his eyes widened. He did not expect her to take the initiative to kiss him. He could still remember how frustrated he was when that maid interrupted their sweet moments.

He smiled and grabbed her by the waist and kissed her back.

He pulled away not Long later. He could see dissatisfaction written all over her face. He thought she was so adorable with her cheeks all puffed up.

" let's go before I loose control."

He said and immediately they were engulfed in darkness. He teleported them and the next thing she knew,they were already in another place. This place was completely different from the castle. It was not covered with lights,on the contrary it seemed the light emanated from the sun. It was natural sunlight. It was just like how it was in her world. Green plants and trees everywhere. She could also see some building afar but they appeared to be ancient and built with stones. They were also not as long as the storey building that existed in her world. The road were not modern either. she wondered which era this world was in.

" This is a human kingdom but far away from your hometown." He explained sensing her confusion.

"oh!"

ofcourse this was far from her hometown but she won't utter those words to him.

"let's go, this kingdom is known for its delicacies. You can eat whatever you find pleasing." he said smiling to her dotingly.

"Okay." She replied enthusiastically. She was a foodie no need to deny that and she liked trying all sorts of cuisines back at her world. She had tried Quite a number of them and to her, Swahili dishes was still the best.

They walked through the town and entered Various inn's. she would order any food whose name sounded pleasing. She would buy More to take back to the castle .

"you don't need to carry back all these,I can come get them for you whenever you feel like eating them." he had told her something she denied with the excuse that,she wanted to go share it with Rizia and others in the castle.

After roaming the street for what seemed like hours,Sophia was so tired that she asked Raphael to rest for a while before going back.

"let's visit a friend of mine that way you can rest for a while at his place." he had told her and she readily agreed.

They teleported and came to a gate,a wooden gate engraved with a dragon mark. Raphael opened the gate and they entered. Sophia could see a magnificent house,it didn't appear like a castle but it was very beautiful and eye-catching. Immediately a figure flashed and appeared two steps before her. He was halfway dressed,with a robe covering his Lower body while he was shirtless.

He deeply gazed at Sophia like he was examining a specimen. He tilted his head and stared at her seriously. He started going round her examining her . He appeared to be contemplating something.

" Cut it out,you will scare her that way." Raphael told the strange man and only then did he tilt his head to look at him.

"something feels different with her." The strange man said still seeming unsure himself.

"What feels different Gavin, stop fooling around." said Raphael.

"i can feel something special about her. It's like two different souls living in one body." He added.

Sophia back straightened.

"Don't joke around Gavin." Raphael reprimanded.

"okay, you will know am not wrong later. welcome to my sweet home my friend,it's been long since we saw each other." Gavin questioned hooking his hands on Raphael's shoulder.

"What have you been up to devil,huh? Is your plan to go against the heaven still there or have you finally changed your mind. if I was to advise you,the moment you stage that war,both sides will experience casualties and you know it very well what the outcome will be." As a Friend, Gavin was really not in support of Raphael's plan to wage a war against the heavens.

It is said if two bulls decide to battle it out, the grass suffers the worst fate. If a war was started between the heavens and hell,then the people will be the one's go suffer the consequences.

"Keep your comments to yourself." Raphael said sternly. He did not appreciate his advice especially if the person who was advising him to let go of his grudges was someone close to him.Gavin was like a brother to him. He was one of the earliest demons that came to existence.

"so stubborn huh! okay,I won't talk anymore. come let's go inside." He said leaving Sophia and Raphael go his house

The three people entered the house and Gavin offered a chair to Sophia and instructed his maid to get his visitors a cup of tea.

"So what brings you here?" Gavin said looking at Raphael seriously.

Raphael wanted to talk to Gavin alone.

He turned to look at Sophia and softly asked her to wait for him outside.

" Go and look around, there's a pond and a farm at the back of the house,I will come look for you soon but don't wander too far." Raphael Instructed Sophia.

"okay." she replied.

Gavin was obviously stunned. He had been friends with Raphael for a long time bug never had he seen him look at anyone with a gentle expression nor heard him talk softly to anyone

This new side of the devil was something unbelievable but then it was not that unacceptable since she was his mate afterall.

Demons were known for being loving and protective of their mates. It could take them thousands of years for their mate to be born.

"I wanted to know why would my mate loose her memories after waking up. She also acts differently, like she has totally changed?" Raphael inquired .

"I knew my assumptions were right." Gavin murmured.
