"I think we should call it a night, it's late", I said, wriggling out of his hands.

Not wanting to stay there any further, I opened the door and entered my room, locking the door behind me.

Immediately I closed the door, I fell to the floor in shock.

"I can't believe I just did that", I thought to myself.

"Fuck what have I done".

"No worries, it's just a momentary relapse.

Just behave as if nothing happened tomorrow morning".

Not wanting to give it anymore thought, I stood up to change out of my dress into my favourite night robe.

As I lay on the bed, I kept replaying the kiss in my mind.

"Fuck I didn't call zoe again".

I picked up my phone to call her, her number kept ringing but she didn't pick up the call.

"Maybe she has gone to bed", I thought to myself.

Yawning I placed my phone on the nightstand and fell asleep immediately my head hit the pillow.

(Andrew's p.o.v)

After I met up with Alexandria, we talked about our agreement and signed the agreement, I've been feeling guilty as my conscience has been biting at me.

I used some of the money to pay back the loan from the bank, my staff and the money lenders.

One day at work, after one of my meetings, as I was leaving the meeting room to my office, I over heard some whispers about the company's bankruptcy and it having something to do with one of the shareholders.

Perturbed by what I had heard that fateful day, I made up my mind to investigate the cause of my company's near failure as I was now convinced that or was not normal.

As I left from work that day, not wanting to raise suspicion or alert my driver, I ditched my car telling my him to go straight home as i needed to do some thinking all by myself without any distractions and when I was sure he had gone far, I called a cab for myself and gave the cab driver a location outside of town to go to.

About ten minutes later, the cab stopped in front of an old warehouse, paying the driver. I came down and he zoomed off.

It had no signage or a welcome sign, the only thing visible was the big metal door that warehouse's usually had and a buzzer equipped with a ring camera beside it.

It was a private investigators office, and so was only known by a few people around town.

With a shaky hand, I pressed the red button, and a female voice broke through the speakers.

" Yes, who are you and how may I help you, she said".

"Ermm, I am looking for a private investigator and I heard you guys are the best around town".

"What's your starting price", the voice said through the speaker.

"Ten grand. I am willing to give ten grand as a consultation f*e with the P.I", I replied, hoping she would agree.

Hmm, she said and then the buzzer cut off.

Almost immediately, the metal door opened automatically to show a woman in a corporate gown at the other side of the door.

She signalled me to come in and led me to an office inside the building, where a young man in his thirties was seated at a table.

"This is the man that needs our help", she told the man before leaving the room.

"Okay, Mr..., what's your name".

"Andrew, you can call me Andrew", I said.

"Okay Andrew, how may I be of service today", he said while intertwining his fingers in focus.

I would like you to investigate something for me.

I narrated what had happened to my company the last few weeks, excluding the part where I exchanged my daughter to a powerful man in return for money to help my failing company.

After I was done narrating, he leaned forward with his hands now on the desk but still intertwined.

"From my understanding, you think somebody behind the scenes sabotaged your business, and you would like for us to find them ,am I right".

Yes, I replied while nodding my head in affirmation.

Okay then!, he replied as he opened the top drawer of the desk and brought out a writing pad and pen and wrote down something and slid it towards me.

This is our price for the work we are about to do.

I looked and it read fifty thousand dollars.

I brought out my checkbook from my pocket and wrote down fifty thousand dollars and signed my name.

I wrote my phone number in the writing pad, so they could reach me eventually.

"It will be ready in one week", he said, standing up to shake my hands.

I left the office feeling hopeful and that feeling lasted throughout the whole day.

After one week, an unknown number called me during one of my meetings, wanting to decline the call. I remembered that I had given my number to a P.I.

Hello, I said picking the call as I excused myself from the meeting.

Hello, is this Mr Andrew.

Yes, this is he, I said with skepticism.

This is the private investigator you hired. Are you alone, he asked.

Yes I am in my office I said.

Okay after 1 week of investigation, we found out that your company was indeed sabotaged and it was done by a certain 'Eleanor and Eric James.

I stopped in my tracks shocked at the names I hadn't heard in a very long time.

"I believe you know who they are", he said, noticing my shock through the phone.

"I will email you the proof I found that is the document that indicates their participation in this case".

"Goodbye sir, and I hope you will come to us if you have any more troubles in the future", he said before ending the call".

Still in a daze, I forced myself to sit down as my legs nearly gave away.

I recognise those names anywhere. "Those were the names of my"...., I thought to myself.

I was meeting my boyfriend Calvin and my friends, Zoe and Asher later in the evening. I kept rummaging my head thinking of a way to tell them this news. I sat in front of my dresser putting on my version of minimal makeup, which was basically a mascara, eyeliner and lip gloss. I dreaded meeting up with them, and so i tried coming up with various excuses just to cancel this meeting. But I knew that if I butt out they would automatically know something was wrong. So reluctantly, I just settled on meeting up that day. We met up at our favorite corner cafe in town. We were four in our friend group, me, my friend turned boyfriend Calvin, my childhood friends, Zoe and asher. “Hey, hey, hey”, Asher said walking in with Zoe. “How’s everybody doing”. “I’m good”, I said standing up to hug them. “Where’s Calvin” Zoe asked. “Oh, he’ll soon be here, he’s just looking for where to park his car, you know he’s crazy about his car”. After waking up to the alarm I set earlier that morning, I went to the bathroom to take a shower.I showered carefully making sure I didn't touch my hair. I wrapped a towel around me and exited the bathroom after I was done. I picked out a black lace panties with a cute black bra that had no strap as the dress I was going to wear to the gala was an off shoulder dress. I brought out the dress and jewelry and shoes I had set aside in the morning and started getting ready. I combed out my hair and left it down like that. I put on a slight clean makeup. After I was done with getting ready, I looked at myself in the mirror and satisfied with what I saw, I picked up my purse and left to go downstairs. As I reached the living room, I saw Alexandria waiting on the couch with his eyes closed. He looked so good. The black suit he wore complimented his physique, I stood admiring him for about a minute before coming to my senses.I cleared my throat making my presence known, he opened his eye

An hour after we left the wedding venue we reached a mansion which was located towards the outskirts of the city. A silent gasp left my throat as it came into view, making alexandria turn his head towards me with a smirk on his face. It was a beautiful mansion, surrounded by very big trees forming a type of fence around it. The path to the entrance was a classic style stone path. The house was a very large mansion with four big pillars, two on each end. The exterior was painted a milky white color. Impressed by what I saw, I gave a slight nod of approval, happy that at least i wouldn’t have to deal with him seeing how big the house was. We could sleep on opposite ends of the house and not disturb each other. “Welcome to your new home”, said Alexandria. “Yeah, home sweet home”, I said with a tight smile not wanting to seem too ecstatic about my new home and my living arrangements. Just outside the door stood a middle aged Latina woman, who was sizing me up with her eyes. She bow
