I parked the car in front of Grandpa and Grandma's house. I went inside and upstairs to enter the world of writers again.

I took a deep breath and turned the doorknob. I was greeted by the wind that's different from the wind outside. I gasped in excitement. I'm thrilled to be back!

I was about to walk towards the house where Sofia was when a guy interrupted me to do so.

"Name po muna," he said.

I looked at the guy. "Hindi ako writer. Can you call Writan for me?"

"Name, please."

I sighed.

"Are you Sofia? Or...Claudia?" he asked while reading it on the blue book. "Ang sabi rito, if the two went back to the other side, they shall not be allowed to come back again. Terrorist."

Naalarma ako sa sinabi niya. Bumilis ang tibok ng puso ko.

"But...my sister's there!" I shouted while I pointed in the house of Bok.

"Wala ng tao ro'n. Pinaalis na."

Nanghina ang katawan ko. "What happened? Where's Bok, Writan, and my sister?!"

Why did we become terrorists?

What should I do? Oh, my gosh. Mommy will kill me now.

Where could I find them? There's nowhere I know a place na pupuntahan nila.

Napasapo ako sa noo ko. I can't give up now. What if Sofia wasn't with Bok and Writan? What if she's in the Council?

I went to Grandma's table and sat on her chair. I covered my face with my hands and took a long breath. I have to enter that door again. But what's my plan after that? Should I go to the Council and explain to them that we're not terrorists?

I stopped and uncover my face. I looked at the thick paper beside my elbow. A plan hit me. I'm going to be a writer they want me to be then.

It took me about ten minutes until I gave up.

"Damn!"

I'm not a writer! I can't just write and be done with this.

"Argh."

I'm hopeless. I sighed and looked at the door. What if I run after I enter that door? I'm not a good runner though. Should I try it? But if the guy ran after me. He's going to take me to the Council. They will lock me up or throw me back in here.

I held the paper. This is my last resort. I have to write at least a dozen novels or maybe more than that to pass as a publisher or the leader. After that, I could freely find Bok, Writan, and Sofia.

"Nakabalik ka na pala, e. Ba't ka nand'yan?"

Napatingin ako kay Jason. Tumayo ako.

"Uhm...I'm taking care of Sofia."

I played with my fingers. What should I do now?

"Nagsusulat ka?" tanong niya ulit.

Tiningnan ko siya. Tumango ako.

"I wanted to try writing. Grandma inspires me," I lied.

I can't even write a sentence.

I tilted my head. "How do you say so?"

"I can't let you read this."

"So, you're a writer too?"

That's why he loves to read Grandma's books.

"Uhm...can you help me? I have this plot? Uhm...in mind. But I don't know how to deliver it into words. Can you?"

"Tungkol saan? Anong tema? Anong panauhan ang gagamitin mo?"

Nablanko ang isip ko. Napakamot ako sa ulo. Ano raw?

I chuckled awkwardly. "Actually, I don't know anything about that."

I nodded. I bit my bottom lip and watched him write the word Romance on it.

"Anong panauhan?

I watched him clicked his tongue and wrote the word characters after that.

"Sinong mga karakters mo? Sinong bida? Sinong kontrabida?"

Lumunok ako. "Magkaibigan sila. Babae at lalaki."

"Anong pangalan?"

Kumurap ako. Wow. That's so much to think, magsusulat lang naman ng kwento. I thought about the story that Writan wrote. I smiled thinking about it. I understand now that writing isn't an easy and cheap passion. There's a lot of things to put up in a book.

"Writan, uhm...Quezon? Is that nice?"

Jason laughed at me. I blinked repeatedly.

"Hindi...hindi maganda?"

"Para kang nawawala."

Tumango ako.."To be honest with you, I was just inspired by Grandma's book, so...it won't be that good for a foundation to write a book, will it?"

Nanatili akong tahimik.

"Jason...can you write me a story? I just can't write right now, I mean...it's all in my head but it's messed up...you know?"

Ipapasa mo ba 'to sa publishing company o ano?

I sighed in defeat. "I don't have a choice, do I?"

He shrugged. Tumayo ako at lumapit sa kanya.

"Can I trust you, Jason?"

Naguluhan siya. "Oo naman. Anong meron ba, Claudia?"

Ibinaba ko ang papel sa lamesa.

"The truth is..." Lumunok ako at lumapit ulit kay Jason. "There's a world out there where writers live."

He nodded and cracked a laugh. "'Wag mo kong binibiro ng gan'yan, Claudia."

"I'm not joking. I need your help. Badly!"

Tumigil siya. I looked so desperate right now.

"Sofia isn't here. She's in there." I pointed the door for him.

"We were there before when you went to the hospital. I left her inside and I'm in trouble. All I'm thinking about to get in is to be a writer, and I'm not. Can you please help me get my sister back here?"

I closed my eyes tightly.

"I'll grant your wish after you help me get Sofia back. Anything!"

He put his hands up.

"I'm serious. I left here there and if Mommy finds out, I'm dead."

Nanlaki ang mata niya. "Papatayin ka talaga niya?"

I gnashed my teeth and nodded.

In the end, he agreed to me to take him to the other side. I held Jason's hand.

"Ready ka na?"

Tumango siya. I could see him hesitating. There's a chance that that guy guarding this door will let me in if Jason's with me.

"Before that, what's your full name? Is your name related to writing?"

Napakamot siya sa ulo. "Ewan. Ang Jason ba?" He shrugged.

I'm damn screwed now.

Book ang ibig sabihin no'n."

Nagliwanag ang paningin ko. Pinisil ko ang kamay niya.

"Talaga?" natutuwa kong tanong.

"Open your eyes, Jason."

Pinisil ko ang kamay niya. He slowly opened his eyes, then it widened, and his mouth fell open.

"Seryoso ka nga!" natutuwang tugon niya.

Tipid akong ngumiti. I missed those days.

"This is Liber," I introduced Jason to the guy.

"At ikaw?" tanong pa ng lalaki.

"Penna."

"You're new?"

Tumango ako. "Mag-asawa kami."

"Saan tayo pupunta?"

Nagpatuloy ako sa paglalakad. "We're going to find Bok, my grandfather, Writan, his friend, and my sister."

Tumigil sa paglalakad si Jason. "Anong sabi mo? Bok? Lolo mo? Buhay?"

Hinarap ko siya. Nakanganga na naman siya. Hinawakan ko siya sa magkabilang balikat niya.

"Oo. It's a long story. We should find them. They might know where Sofia is."

"I still need to talk to my grandfather."

"Wow. Buhay pa talaga ang lolo mo? Bakit hindi siya lumalabas dito?"

Umiling ako. "Basta."

I started to felt guilty because somehow it's my fault why he was running away from them.

"Salamat."

Tumalikod na ako.

"Wait."

I thought she knows that I'm lying but when she put something inside the box again, my heart calmed down.

"Thank you."

My energy escalated when I saw Grandma, standing with her rod, and smiling at me. I went towards her and hugged her tightly. "Are you okay na, Grandma?" "Oo, apo." I let go of our hug and looked at Mommy with Sofia. I messed with Sofia's hair and she giggled. "Miss you, ate." My heart melted. I missed her too. I was a bad sister to her on the other side. I didn't have the time to take care of her because I was preoccupied with Writan. Now that she's here, I think we should get along well. Pumasok kami sa bahay. Isinama ko si Sofia sa attic. I stayed quiet as we waited for the elevator. I heard Writan's shoes rocking up and down. He's nervous like me. I'm not into confrontation, in fact, I hate it. If this doesn't end well, I don't know anymore. I'm tired of being unhappy. I'm tired of waiting for him. I'm tired of hoping and crying every time I finish my book and there's no Writan who would be happy for my success. He's the only one who I needed between those accomplishments. His words that he's proud of me. I licked my lips and went outside of the elevator once it landed on the right floor. The look on his face was unpredictable and mixed. I scanned the room and stopped by the doorway. "Now, let's talk." He hesitated. He rubbed his face and took a sharp breath. He looked miserable right now. I am too.

From there, I'll go back home, explained everything to my Mom that happened for like fifteen minutes because I have to go to an event for me after that. If I calculated it right, Sofia is almost a teenager. I should talk to her about things that I experienced in high school. Or maybe she won't talk to me.
