Stella POV
When I heard her mouth move, I barely registered her words. She promised the darkness to sacrifice her firstborn, which would devastate Eulisses beyond repair. I need to help her out and find a solution to break that pact with the darkness. After all, the curse was made for me to die, and they did not fulfill their end of the deal.
"Don't worry, babe… we will find a solution…" I told her I had no idea what I would do, but I knew pretty well who might be able to help. The Circle of the Willow, the coven of the most powerful white witches, might have an answer. She nodded, her breathing still sobbing. "But you need to tell him. He needs to know…" She shook her head. "Yes, Babe… If you do love him, you need to let all your shit out in front of him because if he loves you the way he says, he will forgive you and stick by you through it all. It will not be easy, and he will get angry, but you need to tell him… no matter what, a baby is
Stella POVThe whole night, I was tossing and turning. Why would the Moon Goddess bless their chosen mate bond? I have never heard of anything like it. Also, there is the issue of finding help for Paige and Eulisses. Both have made mistakes, but both are seeking redemption, and they are doing a damn good job at it. They deserve to live a whole life of happiness, and they deserve to get help.I woke up early in the morning. The moon was still out on one side of the horizon, and on the other side, the sun started picking up on the horizon. I stretched my body, and Romeo tightened his grip on my waist. I kissed his cheek tenderly, “Unless you decide to wake up wet like a baby, you’d better let me go…” He immediately released his grip on me while I giggled on my way to the bathroom. As soon as I finished my business, I walked back to bed. His arms wrapped around me immediately. “It’s still early, sweetheart… Rest for a littl
Romeo POVWendy's words were a relief to all of us. We just needed to get to work and get the Circle of the Willow in to help. I guess that is Stella's department. After all, those witches were the ones who saved Stella, and in the end, they faced firsthand the damage Paige meant to give. It would be Stella's duty to convince them to help her sister. As soon as we wrapped up things with Wendy, Stella and I returned to the tour pack. We have a lot of unfinished business to attend to, one in particular quite serious. “Sweetheart, why don't you rest for a while? It is almost an hour's drive.” I suggested it to my mate. She barely slept last night, and I know the pups will be taking a toll on her body, mind, and energy. She nodded and cuddled in the passenger's seat. I took her hand and drove back quietly. As soon as we crossed the borders, I could feel the energy of my pack reconnecting with me. They knew their Alpha and Lu
Romeo POVThe five ladies were inside my office. I had to call an Omega to bring extra chairs due to the fact that Stella was still fast asleep on the couch. “How did you know that Stella would be asking a favor from you?” I curiously asked, and Evangeline piped in“Well, Alpha, we have special powers and abilities. We know everything that is going around,” she announced with solemnity. I hated the feeling of being spied on, and then she burst out laughing,“I am sorry, Alpha… It was just too easy; Stella sent a message on our cell phone.” Everly revealed, while the rest of them squeaked.I hated people joking and making a fool of me, but somehow I managed to control my anger and deal with them. “So, ladies, would you be staying here?” I asked them, but I'm definitely waiting for an answer from Ashia.“Certainly, Alpha, we want to spend some time with our girl and also find out w
Eulisses POV.I got the message from the border patrol that we were under attack. Paige quickly managed to get everyone who couldn't fight to the safety of the castle while I stormed out to the place of the attack. Our warriors were well-trained, thanks to Michael, and we were holding our ground. After a rough start, we were gaining terrain, but I noticed that we were also getting tired. One after one, rogues kept lounging at us, and in the same way, we kept killing them. I was about to give up when I saw a massive wolf showing up, and immediately, I knew it was my brother, Romeo.Help arrived, and I felt relieved that, with new blood coming, we got a new wave of energy and hope. Coral was also attacking, and I saw that Stella had arrived with a group of old ladies. They moved like choreography pulled out of a damn movie, and then I saw Wendy joining them. Were those witches? I guess so because they were holding their gr
Stella POVAfter the devastating outcome of the battle, I am not talking about the injured and dead; I am talking about Luna Mariel being stripped of her title, vanished from her own land, and then imprisoned by her own son.I couldn't care less about her feelings, but I clearly saw the toll it took on my mate. I can read the sadness and pain the whole situation caused him. I can't believe that his own mother is the one who planned an attack on her own son's newly founded pack. I can't believe that all that hatred and evilness could co-exist within one single person. It is hard to wrap my head around where my amazingly caring and loving mate came from.He picked me up in his arms. I knew he was looking for comfort within my touch, and I intended to provide him with reassurance and love. We walked inside the room assigned to us. And with a swift movement, he threw me over the bed. My insides churned with anticipation of w
Paige POVAfter the attack, we were drained. Eulisses and I were thankful that Romeo and Stella arrived at the time they did. There was also the issue of Eulissess's mother being imprisoned and Coral being trapped in a magic jail. It's been a crazy ride, and I still don't know if we are going to make it or not. I am still holding some hope of breaking my deal with the darkness, but the more time passes, the more restless I am getting.I woke up tangled in my mate's arms. He is such a caring and noble guy. Eulisses has proven over and over again that he is a true Alpha in his heart. He cares for his people, and the level of suffering that he has endured during his youth makes him a great leader. People love him, and he does love his people, up to the extreme of giving his own life to them. The man the Moon Goddess blessed me with, despite my grave mistakes, is much more than I had wished for.I let out a deep sigh, making
Paige POVEverly´s words shook me to the core. As far as I knew, there was no baby yet. Eulisses and I have been very careful, and although we want to have a family, Eulisses has worked so hard to create a functional pack. He has turned so many things around that I know he wants to bring our children into a better world.“Everly, I am sorry, but there is no baby yet…” I blurted out, and Eulisses nodded, confident of my asseveration. Elphaba smiled and looked at the others. Evangeline cleared her throat and whispered, “Not that you know of…” and winked at me.I was numb; fear ran all over my body. If what they say is true, the baby is already here, and we need to find a solution faster than we thought. Suddenly, my stomach turned, and I was nauseous; food looked unappealing, and even water was hard to swallow.Tears formed in my eyes. “Babe, everything is going to work out…” he whispered in my ear, so
Stella POVI was pacing my room, my anxiety present. My mind wandered about my sister. I know that she tried to harm me, even kill me, but that is long forgiven and forgotten. Romeo was lying in bed, sending messages on his phone. I have been so involved in helping my sister that I completely forgot about the rest of the stuff that both of us need to do at the Royal Pack; we also have a lot of things going on with the rest of the packs since we validated and made official the incorporation of the Gold Pack.“Sweetheart, relax… Everything is going to be fine… The ladies of the Circle of the Willow are very capable of helping Paige.” Romeo looked at me over his phone; his eyes showed concern. I knew that he was more concerned about me and the babies than my sister. He patted the spot next to him on the bed. I walked over, and his hand reached mine.He kissed my temple and held me tight and close to his body. His arms held
Romeo POVOur babies are three months old, and Stella has been doing wonderfully with motherhood. She is flourishing into her new roles, her role as Quen and her role as a brand-new mother.Ralph usually gives her more trouble than our sweet baby girl, Stormee. She is just like that, like a storm that takes time to brew, but when it hits you, it hits you fucking hard.I was lounging in my office going through some paperwork when Stella barged in. “Hey, Sweetie…” I lifted my eyebrows, and she sighed,She was silent, and I knew she wanted to discuss something important. “What is it?” I dropped the papers and realized she was biting her nails. This was not a good sign; it meant something was troubling her mind.“We need ground rules…” She blurted, and I squinted my eyebrows.“What?” I sighed. I had no context or background to that first comment.“Pay attention, Romeo!” she said, frustrated, and I closed my eyes, trying to see where this was going. Ralph is mated to King David's daughter,
Romeo POVIt has been five months since we crossed forces with the darkness. My idea of setting up a council with every ruler as the head of their species was well received. We created treaties and laws that united our realms, and with the help of the Sisters of the Willow, we made a portal system that allowed our people to move back and forth.Morgan was a celebrity in the Dragon Realm. His technology expertise paid off, and now that the dragons had experienced technological advances, they were thrilled to learn more about it. That pushed him and Marcy to move to the Dragon Realm for a while. After all, we were their providers of the technology implemented in their realm. King David was the funniest, trying to video call everyone at all times. His daughter hatched two months ago, a gorgeous baby with purple eyes. The dragon's legends say the purple-eyed dragons were rare and blessed. I guess my pup got lucky on that one.
Stella POVWe managed to walk out of our room and headed to dinner. I was hoping to see everyone there, and I was sure not disappointed. Our table suddenly felt bigger, full of people and laughter. My heart warmed up, seeing the way our pack and friends had recovered from the massive attack we had endured.Everybody went silent as soon as we crossed the threshold of the dining hall. Rose's face lit up, and when our gazes crossed, I couldn't help but give her a broad smile. My eyes moved around, and my heart clenched when I saw Nate sitting in his wheelchair. It is unfair that such a fantastic person has to deal with that kind of recovery. My dearest Elemental elder friends were there as well. Eleanore, Everly, Elphaba, and Evangeline. I owe them everything.
Romeo POVIt was 3 weeks since the attack, all the visiting allied Alphas went back to their packs. They took the few casualties that they had, and everything was coming back to normal. Everything except my mate was still in the hospital, connected to wires with her eyes closed. The ladies of the Circle of the Willow decided to stay in my pack, waiting for Stella to wake up. King Aelfred and Kind David also stayed, but they sent their people back. Queen Sirena decided to take care of Stella personally. While King Vladimir returned to his kingdom, he said he would be back as soon as Paige and Eulisses´s baby was born, with Tatiana.I decided to stay at the hospital for as long as my mate was there. The staff had to pull an extra bed into Stella's guard to make my stay more comfortable. I couldn't part from her. I felt that the moment I walked out of that room, she would wake up, and I wanted to be the first face she
Stella POVDarkness was all I saw around me, I knew we had won, I felt at peace, and I was content with the life that I had lived. I was ready to meet my creator and to rest in peace. I let out a sigh, wishing I could have made it, but I also understood that certain sacrifices should be made for the greater good. So I was at peace.I heard a little giggle, and a white light blasted over me. I opened my eyes and realized that I was in a clearing, similar to where I was before, but there was no one around except me and a lady in a white dress.I walked towards the lady and I knew immediately that she was our Goddess. I guess I was in heaven. “My child, you did well… I am proud of you, you saved every species around, and for that, I am proud of you.” Selene said to me in a mellow and melodic voice. She sat on the ground facing the sky and I sat next to her. “You know that I bles
Paige POVShe blasted me. The fucking bitch blasted me with dark magic with full force. At that moment, I was thankful that Vladimir had asked me for an elf´s armor. Coral´s magic was slipping away from my body, not reaching me and not affecting me.I saw it in her eyes. She didn't know what was happening, she didn't understand the reach of white magic, and she was confused about what was protecting me. Beside the armor, the witches of the Circle of the Willow cast a blessing spell over me. No dark magic would be allowed to harm me, regardless of who cast it or how strong it was.I smiled at my ex-friend. “Oh, Coral, you wouldn't understand. Darkness is never stronger than light. Darkness corrupts everything, while light leads to a better path. You left darkness to consume you, and now you can't even see clearly what is happening around you.” I raised my eyes, looking at her completely dark ones. She gave me a look of co
Romeo POVIt was carnage, body parts flying everywhere, mostly from their creatures. Still, suddenly, we realized that even as we tore and tore flesh, the limp bodies on the ground started regenerating and attacking again. It was endless. Our injured warriors were removed from the field almost immediately.David left the fight and followed our sub-plan to protect Stella. We agreed to remove ourselves from the front and keep an eye on her. I felt her link open, and she whispered, “Honey, it is time. I love you.”“I love you, sweetheart. I will see you in a bit.” I told her, noticing the ground opening under us and demons crawling out. Shit, this is the worst-case scenario, these creatures are vicious, and our warriors are tired.Mariel POVI wanted to finish him, Romeo, the product of Remus' abuse of me, the reason why I couldn't leave that pack and have a happy life with my fated
Stella POVI was disappointed to feel Romeo closing in on me. I wanted to relax in his arms, but he refused and, with a tender kiss, walked away from me. I could feel his turmoil through our bond. I understand the way he feels, but he needs to give me some credit. Before I even had powers and my wolf, I was a good warrior and the best strategist, so he needed to start trusting me with my safety and the safety of my pups. I lay in bed trying to rest, but sleep never came. I tossed and turned until I placed my head over Romeo´spillow, which did the trick. Yes, I needed my mate close, and my pups also needed him, but he decided to leave us here.My selfish side wanted him near me at every single moment, while my rational side understood that he had a ton of things to check before the war. He wanted to be prepared and sure that we would be successful. Although my heart was hurting because I was in tune with my selfish side,
Romeo POVI dismissed the meeting, trying to wrap my head around what happened there. I want to keep Stella and my pups as far away as I can from the shitshow, and on the other hand, they twisted my arm into agreeing to have them as bait. I am torn and I don't know what to think about it.Stella is confident and wants to be part of everything, and I know for sure that she is capable enough, but still, my heart and my brain don't seem to agree on what to do. My heart and my wolf are pushing me to keep her safe and concealed from everything, while my brain is telling me that the best option to win this once and for all is to agree with Mother Ashia.Stella took my hand and gave me a small smile. She could feel my turmoil, and I, for once, was not trying to hide it from her. She needs to know that it has been the hardest decision I have had to make, and even if we agree on it, I am not sure about it.“H
